I don't know what y'all are thinking, but I am thinking; ABOUT FREAKING TIME! I am always juggling several options when it comes to deciding on what I should blog about. I've been meaning to catch up with Ayuchan's video collection since for a while now, and so this is it!
I left off with part 5, and since then this beautiful girl has released seven more videos! I don't have time to listen to them all tonight, so I shall try and get through a few in this entry and sort of decide as I go. The title I gave this entry I think is very befitting, because I started with part 6, in which Karen noted "I feel like sharing a bit of my life with you"
While singing a 'Hello Project Emo songs medley' she shares facts about herself, random images, as well as her thoughts on H!P members, and other small things that are part of who she is. I LOVE that she plays guitar for us ;w; And all of her song choices are so good!! She can sing pretty much any song in the world and completely own it, sounding epic every moment. Part 6 is amazing.
I absolutely love watching Karen's dance covers, especially when her friends join her. Her dance+dub vids are even cooler, but overall it's just fun to see people having such a blast doing what they love. Their smiles make you smile, and some expressions & movements make me totally LOL. For part 9, she and her crew danced to 2NE1's Fire! It looks like they had a good time and I had oodles of fun watching! OH and I think her Yossie pink hair is crazy awesome!!
Gah I want to write about everything, but I don't have the time. Above are the next two parts- a good ol' fandub, and a video all about Ayuchan's vocal imitations! She is pretty darn good at those, they aren't my kind of thing, but as she points out in the video, they are a way to try out your vocal range and see what you can do. And she ends it with something I always like to bring up in some way, "No matter how we do sound, what matters is to have fun."
Karen's Koisuru Angel Heart Song and Video Cover [P10] is adorably brilliant!! I love her outfit and I think it's a great song for her. Then her my Yossie addiction [P11] is beautiful! She duets with Yossie! "Harmonies, some lead vocals and extra vocals you'll hear were done by me...this is like ''my version'' of the song...with Yossie..." They sound so freaking good together *o* We all have our H!P faves, and we love to love them.
Tan Tan Tan [P12] is super adorable! I love Ayuchan's pink top, and all the other small things about her outfit that just work! She's not a Milky Way clone, but she's cute in her own way! And she sounds sweet 'n lovely! And that's up to the most recently released of Karen's NiJi-Iro-KanJi Video Collection. There is only one left!! I can't wait to see what it's going to be.
Something else that ChiiAyu's been doing in celebration of her dubbing anniversary is duets with her friends! So far she's sung with Lina [Supahwicked], Ash [diabolicbread], Eri [Charmystar01], Okie [DivaDagger], Saya [AnimefreakXDD], and Michikosaki. I think this is a swell idea and a good way to build even more great memories between friends. Plus it's also fabulous listening material for me & y'all.
And thus, I want to end this with one last dub, and that's Sweeeeets sung by Karen and Michikosaki. I love this song to pieces!!! It was actually in my Wish-list entry, cause I love the melodies a ton and adore the fact that it's originally a Chisato & Kanna duet. So when I saw this among ChiiAyu's videos, I knew I had to at least mention how happy I am at their song choice and how much I love their duet! They sing wonderfully and sound delightful together!
My parents are hosting a camp-out at my house today/tonight, but I was just happy to discover I had today off! Tomorrow as well! I spent the first half of today trying to decide which choruses to vote for in the YTC Battle (I am still undecided) and then I talked to Ayaka of Shizen for a while. I have a few things on my mind, as for what to blog about today. But I figured I'd start with some solo requests I've received over the last 3 weeks or so.
*NaeHoshiChan ~ Kimi ga Ireba / Nae sang this in celebration of her 100th subscriber!! It feels like it's been a little bit since I've heard her, especially on a solo. I love her mature sound!! She has a unique voice that I adore listening to, so this solo-cover delights me to no end! It's very touching too, I couldn't stop smiling while feeling all mushy-happy.
I'm glad that Nae went with a slower song like this, she sounds really lovely on the melodies. It's also special, because she loves this song! And it's way more fun singing something that you love. Nae noted that she was sick when singing this, but I think she did a wonderful job even so and sounds really good. I love her on the verses, and I like how she sings with herself in the chorus. Thanks for singing for us, Nae!
*Rakkun93 ~ The Peace! / I don't talk to this awesome guy enough *shot* If I were to think of dubbers I know the most (or have talked to the most) it would have to be; Rae, Rakkun, Fae, Kappa, and Aly. There are other people I talk to pretty often, but everyone has their buddies, eh? Rakkun is an awesome fella and a spectacular singer!!
LOL It was Rae that first told me about this song, well she asked me about it, and I told her I'd never heard it and she went WHAT?! Since then I've only listened to a small handful of dubs of it, but this one right here is pretty snazztastic! I've always loved Rakkun's energy, how he throws himself into what he sings! He has a delicious voice (no matter what he tells you) that is mega ear-pleasing.
This is really fun to listen to!! You don't need any visual for Rakkun's vocals; his emotion and LET'S GO attitude captivates and makes you wanna boogie down while listening. I love love him on the verses!! He delivers every line with oodles of strength and somewhat smexiness. This whole cover is epic!!
*Mermaid31894 ~ SHOCK! / For some reason, Miyu's voice coming from Airi's mouth seems so real. idk. Pushing aside my like+dislike feelings for this song, I think this short little dub turned out marvelously! Miyu is a bit pitchy here and there, but I love the umph! she sings with~
I really like her on the lower melody lines in the verse! Miyu's "SHOCK"s are cute+cool, and she'so terrific on the chorus!! It's hard for me to pick what part of this I like the most really, lol. She also sang while sick, and I think she did a splendid job even so!
*waterpixieva ~ Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) / When Eva first started singing, I was like 'huh, what's with the different lyrics?' and then I noticed- I didn't know there was a Japanese version of this song out! I honestly prefer the Korean, I think it sounds better. It's a little weird to hear the same music and melodies, but different words.
But regardless, Eva sounds as incredible as ever. I've fangirled over her enough for y'all to know that I utterly love her singing. Her covers are always top notch and a magnificent treat for your ears! Korean or Japanese; she's kickbutt whatever language she sings in.
*baudjuju ~ Yowamushi Montblanc / Juju, mostly known as Mimi, reminds me of Himi. They have similar sounding voices. I am completely new to this song, it's funky+cool, I don't know a befitting word for it but it's catchy. I really like Mimi on the verses!
He's swell on the chorus as well, but I love the melody of the verses and how low his voice can go; there isn't any strain or drop in volume! He sings this song fabulously- it's not super upbeat, but you can sway and bop while listening to him sing! Which is exactly what I did, lol. An enjoyable dub~
*DivaDagger ~ 1000 Words / UWAAAAH, I love this song ;w; It's so pretty and touching. I've never played the game, but I know some about it through friends. I've played other ff games though! When Okie sent this my way I was so excited!! I love one of her other covers a ton (of which I have the mp3) and she's always caught my attention in the various groupdubs (project and non) she's been in.
I got shivers listening to this. And maybe a little snuffly. Okie sound so so so pretty! So beautiful! She definitely did the song justice, and put a whole lot of feeling into her words. She sings so clearly, with emotion and passion that hits you in the heart and makes you feel all warm and mushy. Ohgosh, if I look at the video while I listen to her I WILL cry.
Ahem, this is gorgeous. Okie truly outdid herself with this dub- Divine. Exquisite. Impressive. Brilliant. Mind-blowing. Breathtaking. I can't begin to say enough about it. Every second is a delight for the senses. I especially love in the second half, where Okie sings the two parts together, basically dueting with herself. She sounds amazing!! Ohhh, more tingles. I love this!!
Wow, how long has it been since I've done a non-solo BTW? And how long has it been since I've actually sort of planned on it happening GASP on the weekend? I need to get around to solos- Okie share her 1000 Words dub with me (it's beautiful ;w;) and then I saw some others I wanted to check out but I resisted.
I am keeping it quite basic this time and only going back as far as my subslist will let me go. I'll keep chugging along, catching up with different projects one at a time. But for this, I'm just sticking to what's on the YT created list, lol. Cause I'm too tired to make my own list.
Kimi (KimiOkami) Risa (omgspazattack) Michi (michiyomichi123) Miri (xXLuvleeMerodiiXx) Juri (Juwibean) Jang (jangbong13)
Seishun Collection by Hanabi (SmilePassionGroup) / Oh. This song. *fakes enthusiasm* Nothing against any of the fabulous projects who sing it; no no no. I'm just not over the moon about it. I've barely listened to this singing group before (OMG RISA and JURI! I recognize some people!) and I'd like to remedy that; now!
Oops, the dub is half over and I was frowning upon MM's ugly outfits. SO THE DUB! There aren't a lot of solos to go by, but that's cause this song is all about blending, and how everyone sounds as a group. I must say, the blending in this dub is very ear-pleasing! You can hear the difference from one group of girls to the next (like in the beginning verse), and both of them are magnificent!
Holycow, I love the solos. I just listened to the second set of them (2:36) and was stunned by how cute + pretty Miri, Juri and Jang all sounded. I love'em!! But backtracking to the first set (1:01) Kimi, Risa, and Michi are all enchanting! Going back to the group parts, 3:49 is sensational!! I love that you can really hear how the girls sound together as a whole, because of the quieter backing music. It's beautiful~
(omg major lol once I read the drop-down section "OMG I HATE THIS SONG. I guess I shouldn't be saying that since this is our project debut, but jsdhgkjsngkletn. I don't know why I chose this as our debut song, but at least I've got it over with.")
Aishiteru Aishiteru by Ali (ILA1080) of YoruProject / D'AW, Ali is so so so super sweet! ! ! I've heard her sing before, but I don't think she's ever sounded quite so adorable! She's utterly darling! I am new to this song- I really like Ali on the chorus' melody! She's terrific on the verse as well, but is very cute+sweet on the "Aishiteru"s and etc parts. This is Ali's graduation dub, as she is leaving Yoru Project. She picked a good song, her cute voice really suits the sweet main melody. I'll always think of this solo dub now when I think of her. And then I'll think AA DAARIN!
Moka, Raii Ayomi, Nykki
Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba by Meigetsu (Tsubaki Project) / I have a weakness for this song. I always sort of lol when I load a dub and it's a song I love, and I see someone in the comments go "I hate this song, but..." ~ For me (Berryz wise at least), Very Beauty is one of those songs. But anyways, getting off subject.
I think these girls did a really nice job on this. It's sort of an odd song, in that the melodies are pretty but not something you hear every day. It can be easy to hit an off note while singing the tunes, and having a good amount of energy in your lines can be tricky.
I personally love to sing out the chorus' and aren't as good on the other parts of the song, but I love to listen to people besides me sing the whole thing even more (lol)! This dub is really pretty and each of the girls did a really nice job on their solos. The chorus is lovely, and I love the duets too!! Overall; splendid~
Martha, Kiro, Jaydie Yuusaku, Sachiko, Moni
Meguru Koi no Kisetsu by Jupiter (Cosmos Project) / My brain is failing me at the moment, cause I need sleep. But this is awesome! A lot of fun, energy and cuteness packed in by this fantastic cast of lovely gals. I really like the different PV that Martha gave a go! The solos are kickbutt, but the duets and group parts are my favorite!! Give some Jupiter some love y'all, and give'em a listen!!
I've loaded this Shiruku video at least three different days, and then just not got around to it. Well no more!! I'm trying to get to some more shoutbox requests, so this entry is a little bit of this and that. I promise!! Hikari (CherryzProject) and Mignon Project, I will get to you as soon as I can!
I'm still PMing and interviewing, which can leave me waiting on replies before I proceed. But it's fun to chitchat a little bit with different projects! And I try really hard to think of what I'd like to know that I can't figure out by reading a profile, when asking questions. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to respond to me!!
Special Generation by Shiruku Koubou (Shiruku Project) / lol I had a really fun time listening to Aiko and Michi (and I mean that as I compliment, girly) in this! Their energy caught my attention~ Lucy is super lovely+sweet on her part and has her own bit of kick; she's terrific on her lines! I almost thought Daniel was Momoko! Her first solo is really cute and very Momo like, she could use a little more strength in her delivery, but!! her energy has improved.
You don't get much of a chance to hear Lizzie, Fae, Miyu or Belly~ but they all contributed to the group parts, and the wonderful end result that this dub ended up being could not be so without their singing. The "Ai"s could have been a little fiercer, but the overall sound of this release is delightful! It's been a while since I heard a dub of this song and I really enjoyed it.
UMBRELLA by Malice [maliciousdevice] / jfknejkfnejk. I love Malice. I'm so so happy that she started to share her solos and other dubs with me, because I am such a fan of her singing. She has such a unique fantastic voice and smashing energy + emotion! I love every word from her mouth and she always catches my attention in dubs.
She worked really hard on this solo and I think it definitely shows!! She sounds amazing with herself, the blending of her four different voice-types in awesome! I've never heard the song, but now I am dying for an mp3 of this dub! Malice did such a good job on sounding different for each part she sang- it shows that she is flexible and can do different things with her sound, and just proves to me even more how talented she is.
Malice said that this song makes her mega happy. Well this dub makes me mega happy!! I'd give it a ton of thumbs up if I could, but alas I can only give it one. SO WORTH A LISTEN. Rabu rabu rabu rabu *happy twitch* must. have. mp3.
Mimi (x3LoveyDovey) Eva (waterpixieva) Ryan (RyanEatPho) Jay (jExtremist)
Chu by Gemini (JjangGeneration) / I downloaded this a little while ago when Eva sent it to me, cause I was excited at the thought of another dub by these four! They work so well together!! (Plus Aya is a fangirl of the guys cause of Boyono, and Eva's solos are incredible. HI MIMI I'D LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU!) Chu isn't my favorite f(x) song, but it's really catchy and in a way cute. lol, at the end of work today I started singing it randomly to my mom cause this dub came to mind~
jgnejkswgnkjw kgnrejkgnrkj O M G! The opening part and the "chu"s etc turned out amazingly!! These people know what they are doing; singing and mixing wise. The solos are so freaking good, and I love how people join in for duets or harmonies throughout the song! Like on the "ku ku ku ku"s & "yeah baby" ~ Also when they sing boy/girl on the "Do it, do it chu~, it’s true, true, true, true, it’s you" parts.
I am admittedly not playing the YT vid of this, but simply listening to my mp3. Sometimes this group has names to show who is singing when, but I don't know for sure if they did that this time. I love Eva's rap as well as whichever of the guys sings a part of it. Plus I love the "do it chu" that follows!!! But everything about this dub is utterly epic! It sounds very professional, well sung and well put-together. Worth a kajillion gold stars for excellence!
Kiss by Logan [ThatBananaYes] / ohmystars, Logan stopped by! I feel so special! I don't know him at all, but I already think he's awesome. I've heard him in quite a few dubs, though I couldn't tell you what off the top of my head. He's always helping people out by singing the extra parts in songs and I often see him mentioned....unless there are two Logans?! Nah, I don't think so, lol. Anyways~
He sent me his latest solo dub of the song Kiss, "I love this song, even if it's about a skanky home-wrecker... basically" lmafo! Logan is fairly pitchy, but the emotion he sings with is marvelous and because of it he's quite....sweet? I don't quite know the right word to use. Charming? I really feel the 'skanky home-wrecker' related emotion in the chorus' LOL I mean that in a good way, like, he puts feeling into his singing and it comes through to the listener. I like his "kiss kiss kiss"s and I love his "kiss me please"s.
Above all, his dedication to singing is great! I can't say that I know he sings allll the time or anything, but someone can say "you suck" or give constructive criticism and because of it someone who likes to sing could become less inclined to do so or to share at all. Singing is for fun, and sharing with your friends, just having a good time, whatever- I'm glad that Logan sings and shares! Yes, he's pitchy. But practice brings progress! Keep being cool, Logan.
Hitomi asked me back in August if I would feature some of her stuff and I jumped at the request! I've heard her in a few groups, including Liana's wonderful XOXO. And because I am constantly playling catch-up, I've put her off until now *sheepish smile* But as I was thinking today of what I should write about, I knew it had to be her.
I downloaded some of her dubs after I found her thread on yoproject's forums last month. I know a lot of people post their work on there and I was very happy to find her among them. Hitomi just updated with a ton of YT links, and a big list of songs that she's sung! There is one dub of hers that I knew I was going to mention in here right away, but when I saw that she'd listed by H!P group, I decided to pick one dub from each.
Meguru Koi no Kisetsu / I am writing about this one first, because Hitomi mentioned in her thread that she really loves how it turned out. I like this song! It's not something that I'd listen to a ton, but it's really fun and cute! She also dedicated it to her favorite C-ute member, Kanna (as you can tell if you watch the video) nhfaswfbejwhf. This freaking rocks! Hitomi totally brought on the energy and bounce! She nailed the pronunciation, delivered like a pro, and sang her heart out.
For a lot of English speakers and/or people whose first language isn't Japanese, learning how to say the R's and the 'tsu's and the double letters (etc) is something you've got to figure out. I speak from experience, lol. I'm still not the best at the 'tsu' but Hitomi has perfected it! And in this song it's key, because it pops up in the lyrics so much. Every "kisetsu" in this is spot on, and the chorus is pure win.
I love everything about this dub! The verses are awesome, I adore her "Papa mo Mama mo" at 0:39! Hitomi has such great attitude- her singing is fun to listen to because she puts emotion into it. I really like when she fully solos at 2:01, she sounds so good! She has a fantastic voice and talent to go with it. Her "All Right susunde ke" at 2:16 is super mega adorable!! It makes me seriously squeak cause she's so cute! Same with her "Wow! Sono mama mou iccho" at 2:34. Overall cute, fun and kickbutt!
Summer Night Town / I wasn't sure which Momusu dub of Hitomi's to go with at first. Mainly their 11th single and forward are picked, more so 5th Gen and on stuff. I wanted to pick something that I hadn't heard dubbed a dozen+ times. When I saw this song on the list, I clicked and loaded to check it out before deciding. I ended up going with it for one main reason.
The harmonies!! Ohmygosh, Hitomi did such an amazing job on them! You don't notice them as much in original, I think because they're quieter in volume. But in this you hear them clearly yet at the same time they aren't overpowering. The result is so lovely! It shows that Hitomi really knows how to sing- not just main melody stuff, but the other parts in a song.
Her higher notes in the harmony are really pretty, and she's fabulous on the melody-part lines as well. I love how she delivers the pre-chorus' and verses; again, her attitude is awesome. The chorus with the harmonies is beautiful!! Hitomi has a strong voice and sings with passion! I really enjoyed jamming out to this.
Ryuusei Boy / I picked this dub of Berryz because I honestly could not listen to WAO, 21ji Cinderella, or Koi no Jubaku again LOL. It was actually really hard for me to pick, cause. . . .I'm not really feeling Berryz-Hitomi OMG GASP I KNOW. I love BK to death, and this girl is all kinds of epic, but the two aren't doing it for me. Perhaps it's her song choices? Anyways, Hitomi mentioned that she thought this was 'pretty good' and I happen to agree!
The "Ryuusei BOOI"s in this are smashing!! She hits the higher "BOOI"s so flippin' well! No strain, no shakeyness- spot on and spectacular! So clear and pretty! I don't even like this song a lot and I am lovin' the chorus!! Hitomi sounds so good with herself. She can do harmonies, she can solo with no backing vocals, thus it's no surprise that she sounds incredible singing main-melody as a group; just her vocals, but 'me myself and I' to give the sound of a group.
The verses in this are very lovely, but I really love the pre-chorus'!! And the chorus'! The more times I listen to this, the happier I am that I went with this dub. It really is outstanding! I think I like Hitomi's energy the most on Meguru Koi no Kisetsu so far, but she still sings this with a whole lot of umph! And I can't say for certain, but I think she does all her own mixing. Either way, the quality of her covers is always excellent!
Akai Nikkichou / I saw 'Akai4' and went oooohhhhh~ Some of you know and some don't, but my blogging days began with H!PE, a blog I created when I was trying to learn the Momusu members and gens (eventually the other main groups too) as well as try and listen to their songs; from first single to current. I never completed because I started Blabodu. But I looked into a lot of the now-inactive groups, shuffles and other H!P etc. So I actually know who Akai4 is!!!
I again wanted to pick a song I hadn't heard a lot, this time off the 'Other H!P Groups' ~ I've never heard a dub of this song (probably not anything Akai4), I like it so I went with it. I know I've said it before, but I can say it a million times and it'll be true each time- Hitomi has a gorgeous voice. She sounds so so so pretty on this song. I adore her on the simple but lovely melodies. I give her props & cheers for song choice and for doing her best! There are those high notes right before the chorus, and she tackled them well!
I treasure this cover for it's rarely-picked song, it's sort of special to me. Makes me think of my early-H!P days and the memories I'll have forever because of dubbing & blogging. Hitomi's speaking part in the beginning is sweet, and the verses are beautiful. I love the echo effect she used on them. I like hearing her sing with herself, like in Ryuusei Boy, but I also really like solo covers like this. Where you hear just her (one time over only, lol) and the music. So worth a listen.
Okitegami / I almost forgot that there was a video for this. It's not listed in her thread, but it's hosted by Totally Up! Project, because that's what she did the solo for. I've been listening to this one for days now!! Exquisite. That's what this is.
I'm starting to think Hitomi can sing just about anything, but this song really suits her. Magnifcent. Marvelous. Mind-blowing. She's mellifluous to the max! I can't even think of what to say. I love every second of this. Brilliant. Breathtaking. I'll just leave it at that. But y'all should definitely check out some of the dubs / covers that this splendid skilled singer puts out.
Thank you so much to everyone who wished me well! ;w; It makes me feel really special. ILY'ALL and missed you bunches and lots. So on behalf of my shoutboxers I decided to start with some shoutbox requests! I tried pinpointing the last link I followed and think I got it right.
But if you asked once already and I haven't gotten to your request and it's been a while, it's probably because I accidentally missed you. Feel free to ask again! Solos now, and I might end up waiting until tomorrow for the rest. Because it's already pretty late (3am).
Tsubasa Wo Kudasai by MollyxFace / I bet the people who hate on Becki Cruel secretly fan over her madly and listen to her songs all the time or something. I've never paid the Cruel girls much attention but I do like a few of their songs; including this one. Molly Molly Molly.
There was this girl on my volleyball team in high school named Molly, and one day we made up a rap song thing about her name. I don't remember it all, something like "M to the olly. Molly! M to the olly. Molly!....something something stuff. Molly's our girl." Yeah it was years ago, but it sprang to mind. This Molly is a magnificent singer and I think she did a great job on this song!
She sounds so adorable+pretty! She's really good on the verses, I like how she makes the words flow more (better than Becki I think), but I totally love her on the chorus! Hearing her sing it makes me feel bubbly happy and smiley. I like the melody a lot and Molly is delightful on it. I especially like her 2:26 line. Overall; awesome awesome awesome! Totally downloading.
Maji Bomber by adelutzah03 / Ohmygosh. Ada's singing + this song?!? gejkwngfjkew. Dream come true. Or magic. Something awesome and dazzling and wonderful. With some rockin'ness too. Cause this is so cool and fabulous. I'm happy that she shares her dubs with me, because I love'em!
Her Kimagure Princess is second from the top on my most recently previous (if that makes sense) playlist. Cause it's amazing. I really like her on the mood of that song, all sexy. But she totally rocks out on Maji! She's versatile and a fantastic singer! Many of you know how much I love Berryz and how excited I was for this song to come out. And I'm sure it's the same for other people as it is for me; you can't help but really really love good dubs of songs that you adore.
Two lines into this dub and I was grinning like a fool. I love Ada's attitude! She's so fun and has loads of energy. Her every line is delivered so well! She's sounds lovely+cute and packs a punch. She mentioned the "higher notes in the choruses are a pain in the arse" and while that may be true, she tackled them! I truly adore this to pieces.
Boogie Train by Suzume aka Malice [MaliciousDevice] of HoshiDubs / I don't think I've ever listened to this song fully, and I've never watched the PV. Malice seems to think this song kicked her ass. I do not agree. When she hits that first high note only seven seconds or so into the song I laughed but in a good way. I got the feeling then that this is one of those funky funny H!P songs, and I think Malice pulled it off well!
It needs lots of gusto and you've just got to let go and be crazy. Malice completely rocked, rolled and dominated this song. "miki fujimoto would turn in her grave... if.. she was actually dead" OH WHATEVER GIRL. So not true. I love the energy and umph that she sung this with, it's killer and makes it that much more of an entertaining and spectacular listen.
I love Malice's mature and super lovely voice. She's a strong singer and it shows in this. Malicechan- just in case you are like my Michibabe (and are actually reading this, lol) I shall repeat myself. You rocked, rolled and dominated. Believe me. I had an extremely good time listening to this, one of the liveliest solos I've heard lately. Full out pwn.
Oh! by Liz9419 / This is Liz's first Korean dub! Mega props from me to anyone who takes the time to learn Korean or Mandarin. I'm sure once you learn the basics it's not so hard; I can figure out most Mandarin myself, but I've never really given Korean a go.
D'AW Liz is so cute on the verse! Not kawaii cute, but like...lovely+cute. If that makes sense, lol. The chorus in this is swell too (and the "oppa oppa I'll be I'll be down down down down" parts), but I really liked the verse. I couldn't stop scrunching my face up with smiles as I listened.
The pre-chorus is marvelous as well, and I also like her "hya" cheer shout thing at 0:33. I know I've mentioned before that I love how Liz throws herself into what she sings, going all out. I think she has a nice energy level in this and showed off her cute side. I can't comment on her pronunciation, but overall she sounds fabulous!
This is going to be my 'stuff I listen to a lot' entry, while I wait for my lame slow internet to load some more videos. I have a several playlists of dubs- when one gets too full I make a new one. I'm going to go through them and pick out the ones I've listened to a lot lately.
These aren't in any certain order, just random. I realize that many of these are featured on the right-hand side, but I wanted to include them in this anyways. They deserve some more plugging, so they're getting it. I won't list all the Femme Fatale dubs (lol) but I listen to those a ton as well.
Asu e no Kizuna by animezirow / I don't remember how I first discovered Sherry, but I know she's been in a few of my BTW solo version entries. A while ago I downloaded an album she put together of about ten dubs, zip file format making for an easy dl. I really like it, but lately I've been listening to this cover quite a bit.
I forgot how much I enjoyed it until I randomly was going through my dub mp3s looking for stuff I hadn't listened to in a while. Sherry is a wonderful singer that I suggest y'all give a listen to. She's in a few dubbing groups that I have yet to really look at, but you can check out her profile for links. This cover is marvelous~
Aki Urara by Egao 9 (HanaProIndies) / Out of nowhere one day I was like "I LOVE YOU Aki urara" and that made me wonder if I had the mp3 for that dub, so I looked it up and it turned out I didn't! I downloaded it ASAP and have been listening to it lately. Before this Genki+ was a popular listen with me. E9 has a whole bunch of sensational dubs- there is some good stuff to be found on the Indies channel for Hana.
Star Star Star by X♡X♡ / I play the shit out of this dub. I can listen to it over and over and over again. It's exquisite. A masterpiece. I flat out love it. I was going to ask for the download, but then I got off my lazy butt after I realized that Liana probably made a thread in the yoproject forums for it. I struck luck, because not only did I find the mp3 for this dub, but also for X♡X♡'s Genie and Oh! - I downloaded all three and merged them with my Femme Fatale playlist, to make one smashing playlist of SNSD dubs.
Starduster by LovablexKarupin / I love Karu's singing. Or Ju-chan, as her girlfriend calls her in the video's drop-down section (aww). I hear her in a good amount of groupdubs from various projects and always drink her voice in greedily. Solos are even better in a way, because you get to hear her oodles and oodles! A lot of time when I hear her I think OMG CUTE JKFNJKF! So I really liked getting to hear her on something slow like this, where she really shines and sounds so pretty!
Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago by Yuuyake (KiramekiDubs) / I've listened to this like, a dozen+ times today. The chorus' are nice, but I really enjoy the solos during the verses and pre-chorus. These girls sound so lovely and sweet, and them singing this song is very relaxing.
I'm really glad I downloaded this and it's mainly thanks to Chiyo! She fed me mp3s via MSN and though at the time I wasn't very attentive, I did finally sit down and listen to what she sent me. Kirameki has sounded like a promising dubbing group thus far, and I'll be glad to write more about them in the future! P.S- Their DESTINY LOVE dub is really good too.
Our Steady Boy by AmaBer (IroKokoro) / This is so adorable!! I love that these two dueted together! It took a few times for the song to grow on me, but I couldn't resist the cuteness that is AmaBer. I wonder if this was a one time thing, or if these subleaders will sing together again? Even if they don't, I can always listen to this wonderful dub whenever I want and there is lots of other stuff by IKP. I'm still addicted to Abracadabra and recently Sign. But if you're in the mood for something cute, this is for you!
Tsuugaku Vector by Gangsta Boo (HanaProIndies) / Yay! I love this dub! The song is really catchy, I adore the melodies. I love Aoi to pieces and this is one of my fave -smaller cast- dubs (off the top of my head at least) that Kappa's been in. The chorus is awesome, and all of the solos sound superb! There is a download link, so if you like it, get the mp3!
It's back on the first dub playlist I made, second from the top- over about the past week and a half I've taken to playing it more often, cause I like it so much. I believe this is the only duet they've done together (if there is another, somebody let me know!) and I'd love to hear them together again!
Eyes On Me by ChiiAyu / I think everyone likes something like Final Fantasy deep down. Maybe you mainly like the music, or you like the storylines and characters. You love to play or read fanfiction about it. Whatever whichever. I like a lot of the songs used in video games as well as some animes but I don't really play or watch.
This is a really pretty song and I loved Ayuchan's version of it so much I pleaded for a mp3. This is part of her Niji iro Kanji Video Collection in celebration of her first dubbing anniversary. I'm a bit behind on the latest parts she's released, but I will catch up! I've been stuck on this cover lately, because it's beautiful. Y'all should check out all of the parts done so far, cause Karen is a terrific singer/dancer.
Kamei Eri: Katie & Serenyty Mitsui Aika: Yumiko Kumai Yurina: Hinaki Okai Chisato: Ameimi Oujisama to Yuki no Yoru by Totally Up! Project / This is sweet, cute and lovely all mixed together- I love the differences in vocals. Each girl is unique and delightful to listen to in her own way. I like the song a lot, maybe not the "lonely love"s so much (if that's what they're saying and that's the song though, not the singers). The solos and chorus are splendid! I really like this a lot, it's lovely! It's the 10th track in TU!'s current concert, y'all should look into it if you haven't yet.
TANE: Boo-chan, Nozo and Boss GuruGuru JUMP: Nichan, Nikki and Nozo
MottoImouto Summer Shuffle 2010! Part One / I've always loved the song Tane so I mini-freaked when I saw that it was the first song. And I've come to really like GURU because of this dub. Thanks to Malice and Boss for sending me stuff by MI. I go around singing "owatta koi dake ga TANE ni naru" and "Nee nee hora" etc & "OH DAARIN Motto motto motto GURUGURU Datte datte datte GURUGURU" lol. I love it.
This two-tracked mp3 (or video, depending) is kickbutt. I love both dubs and all of the singers. This was at the top of my most recent playlist, but it's been bumped down to second by Sign. I listen to it quite a bit because it's fun and I always want to sing along. Is part two out yet? idk, I'll have to look!! Thanks again to Malice for the mp3!
Saying I Love You by / I love Suzumi so much for giving me the download for this. I'd never talked to her or anything, she could have been wary and told me no. But she was flattered and said yes, thus making me very happy! I read something on a dubber's profile not too long ago that said something about how you shouldn't tell people they're good if they aren't. That it isn't nice to encourage them and build up their hopes.
I think that's true to a certain degree. If you're wanting to become a serious performer or recording artist, then yes, you've got to be good. But even though the world of dubbing can be dramatic because some people make it so, I think the majority of people are in it for the fun of it. And so when I listen to dubs, it's for my pure enjoyment and I understand that the humans singing aren't going to be perfect all the time. Small errors are no big deal.
This isn't the most incredible cover ever and I'd never heard Suzumi prior to this. But I fell in love with this after a few listens and I play the mp3 constantly. There are some iffy parts and even one spot that is pretty pitchy. But I "pfftpwsh" it and just enjoy the cover as a whole. I shall keep encouraging dubbers to sing if it's what makes them happy, and derive as much pleasure as I can from the experience of listening, interacting and blogging.
*brbcool8 ~ NU ABO / This song has grown on me, at first I didn't care for it at all, but now I like it. In the drop-down Britt said "I dont think I've ever tried to make a cover as perfect as this one" and you can definitely tell! The end result is brilliant! The whole beginning (up to 0:41) is awesome!! I especially like 0:32, Britt sings with great attitude on "dok chang juk byul myung jit gi" ~ The chorus throughout the dub is kickbutt, I love the "mystery"s and "NA NA NA NA"s
1:33 is epic!! 2:13 isn't my favorite, she's singing higher and sounds sort of cute but I prefer her on the mainly middle/low parts of the song. Like 2:41! Britt also said "I tried to make it my own, but I think I kinda sound like Amber going solo!" and while she does remind me of Amber, she's not a clone or anything and I like how she sounds. I love her "Yeah, this is how we do it bring it love f(x)" at 2:51!! And her ending "NU ABO" is awesome!
*musicdancesing97 ~ I Need a Boy / Ohh I like this! I really like the beginning speaking part, Cindy sounds mature and lovely- when she sings she's more cute+lovely, but I love both. Her bits of vibrato are splendid and though some of her notes are iffy now and then, I like the emotion she delivers her lines with. A lot of parts of this are wonderful, and overall I think she's delightful.
*4eversj1697 ~ Into The New World / I don't know her exact name, so I am referring to her as Hanzuzu. This dub didn't blow me away or anything, but I still think she did a nice job on the song she chose. I don't know how to describe her voice, but she sounds very cute+sweet and lovely; her "da heuteojin" at 0:17 is fabulous. She has some iffy notes but I give her props for giving her all. At 1:05ish she layers her voice- I really like her on the melody of the chorus!! Not perfect, but enjoyable.
*LittleMissCrap ~ Hard But Easy / A bit rushed sometimes and pitchy on the chorus, but Sarah noted that she oneshotted this song for 'a trial like thing'- practice you could say. With that in mind, this turned out pretty swell. You can tell she's a good singer simply by listening to her first few lines; her "bogo sipdagado" (0:15) is so pretty, I love her vibrato on 'gado' ~ her "geuriupdagado ireol irinji" is lovely too. And I like her "molla ah" at 0:25.
If Sarah actually worked hard on a cover of this song, I know it'd be better. But oneshots are for fun, eh? They're not meant to be flawless. The verses are my favorite in this, and parts of the chorus are nice. She put this cover up anyways because she wanted to enter Kpopcollab Summer Idol and there was a deadline to watch, so I give her props for entering with this even though it's not her best.
*xYakyuBaka ~ I Need a Girl [Female Piano version] / This song seems to be popular, lol. Beckie admits that the quality of the audio isn't the best, but you can still hear her divine voice. I love her speaking parts and pretty much every second of this. I like that she went with a slower piano version, the overall sound of Reece (thefrenziedpianist) 's playing and Beckie's singing is very soothing- Exquisite.
I love that she sang the melody and harmonies, as well as the gentle passion she fills each line with. Her "boy I need a boy"s are lovely and addicting & her higher and lower notes (plus everything inbetween) are gorgeous. Beckie is splendid on every part of this song (verses, chorus, etc), I like too much to point everything out, but this is definitely worth a listen!!
*SuzurinCovers ~ Saying I Love you / The beginning "Non neul naegae malhaettji wae" is beautiful! Suzumi has a lot of potential. Her low notes are soothing and pretty, her higher notes swell, and she has an overall very lovely sound. But I'd like to hear her sing out more- I know this is a slow song, but it doesn't have to be soft and slow.
She's semi-pitchy here and there, but not glaringly so; she has her share of good and not-so-good notes/lines, but you can hear the emotion in her words. I love her "jomdeo dalkomhage jeoldae ijeul su eobge" at 0:32! All of the chorus in this sounds marvelous and is wonderfully ear-pleasing. 2:42 turned out nicely, I like her "sipji anha" in the first line. Each time I listen to this, it grows on me more!
Suzumi sings with herself at 3:00 and it's terrific. And on top of that, she does overlapping vocals, as often done by a lead singer towards the end of a song. I really like her "jianulge Iroke neul niyope seoseona malhalge" (3:21ish) where there's her singing the main melody + her other vocals. And her "saranghae saranghae"s throughout the dub are enjoyable as well.
Sorry for my laziness lately. The bad thing about having time off is that time slips away from me, I'm easily sleepy unless I keep myself busy, and often times I get sidetracked doing stuff that I normally don't have lots of time for (ex slash reading, lol).
Also we're trialing a new kitten, my mom has named him Diego and he is troublesome- batting at my headphone cord, getting under my feet and making me worry that I'll roll over his tail, climbing all over behind my computer and making me fret that he'll unplug something, etc. He is adorable, but tries my patience often.
I still have four days left and I shall try and make the most of them!!
I don't really know all that much about this, as there isn't a lot of information provided. The contest will be composed of three rounds, and in the end there will be prizes for the top three placements- being featured on kpopcollab's YT channel, the promise of subscribers, and a background of their "favourite kpop group/idol" (differs depending on placement). Round One took place Aug 6th and more than 40 people entered via video response (the required means of applying). "You guys can sing ANY kpop song for this round. It can be an old cover you've done or a new cover. We are looking for a well rounded Idol so this is how we will judge the covers..." The following listed was; Vocal quality, Range, Emotion, Style, and Adlibs, Belting, Vibrato, Harmonizing or Rapping.
It was noted that no voting will go on for the first two rounds -which will be decided by the two judges- but only in the third round. Round Two began on the 12th with the current deadline set at the 25th. Of the original applicants, 20 made it through to the second round. You can view the drop-down section to the video to read about how things are going down this time, I'd rather not ramble on about it, lol.
Instead I have decided to do as I did with Hana and IKP auditions before. There are now only 40 video responses left up (I expected some to no longer be listed) and it is my goal to get through them all! Because listening alone will take a long time, I may not write about every single dub, we'll just see how it goes~
*EverlastingGoals ~ Lucifer / Wow, I see why this song is so popular since it came out, it's pretty awesome. This is my first time hearing it, and this is one kickbutt dub of it!! Line has such strong vocals, loads of confindence & emotion, and delivers like a pro. On her profile she has a few Q&As, one being whether she is a boy or girl, and I'll admit myself that I wasn't sure at first. She sort of reminds me of Leilani (only201miles), so I was leaning towards female (with hella fierce vocals), but I don't like to assume. This is extremely brilliant!
*HICHI4you ~ Oasis / This is so relaxing. Bella is beautiful on the chorus, though the solo in entirety is wonderful! I think she handled the few higher parts well, and I love so so many of her ending notes, like her "jweo" at 1:21ish. Both of her "I wanna make love"s are awesome, and I really like the rap too!
I am guessing that either the guy vocals were on the instrumental she used or she chose to include them? Either way, her singing blends well with them. Her voice doesn't get lost in the backing vocals, instead fitting easily and sounding splendid. It's good that she sounds swell alone as well as with others, and also shows that her timing and key are on. Really nice.
*rhapsophonia ~ Bad Girl Good Girl / I find the "You don't know me" & "So shut up boy"s in this repetitive. I think they're cool sounding dub wise, but at the same time annoying song wise, lol. I'm not familiar with the song, so I don't know how the original sounds- thus I'm not doing any comparing in my head, simply listening.
I really like the "Hello, hello, hello"s (+ "euro x 3" & "dwiro x 3") and the part at 2:33. Charmaine doesn't have the kind of vocals that knock you off your feet, but she has a lovely sound and puts emotion into her singing. This is my first time hearing her, and she mentioned that this song was a bit hard. So I await hearing her in the next round on a different song.
*blackangelz09 ~ We're Breaking Up Today / At first I thought this was something serious, like an official recording or something. Y'all know what I mean- this is so amazing I didn't think it was a cover. The opening verse is so gorgeous!! Lin's singing is very moving. She has some iffy higher notes throughout the chorus' but those are easily tossed into the darkest corner of the it-doesn't-matter pit, because overall she did a divine job on this song. The verses are definitely my favorite, but the chorus' are lovely too.
*Melodicafiles ~ A Girl Meets Love / You have to wait until 1:24 to hear Mimi, but it's not a bad thing - her partner in this collab, Raddy, did a nice job! But focusing on the applicant, I like Mimi on the lower melody of the verse; in fact, her very first line is my favorite. She's good on the chorus too, but it appeals to me less. I don't know how to explain why. I'd like to hear her on a different song, so I shall try and look for her in the next round.
*icsk8grrl ~ Chocolate Love / I love vibrato- especially the right amount of a controlled vibrato, which is what Haru has. She uses little bits of it here & there and my ears are drinking it in. The fantastic sound of her mature voice is like chocolate. I really like her on the verses. She sings this song with a sexy vocal attitude, and it's utterly delicious. The part at 2:07 is fun, and the following "woo~" etc part at 2:21 is fabulous.
--Okay this is taking forever because my internet hates me today. That's all I am going to do for now, cause I'm frustrated that it's taking so long. I will try to get to the rest little by little.
I just finished backtracking through my shared vids (on my MO account) and deleted 100+ for the past few months. AH, I'm happy to have it cleaned up some! Makes keeping track of stuff so much easier. The ones left -40something- are dubs I either haven't looked at, or haven't blogged about yet.
Days like today it's hard to find the time, since I don't get out of work until late. But I'm happy with whatever I can get done!! I always try to catch up on stuff that people have sent my way when I can, and I've got a nice little build up of solo dubs, so I thought I'd devote this entry to writing about them!
*AyunaDaisuki ~ Ame no Furanai...? / OMG THIS SONG!!! ;w; Raaaaaabu. Is Ayuna singing over the song, or are there H!P harmonies included, or is she singing with herself? I think it might be the first former, idk for sure though. She blends well with whatever vocals I am hearing!! In the drop-down she asked that listeners overlook the minor things and focus on her; which is very easy to do!
Ayuna sound so so pretty and sweet!! Yeah sure, there are a few off notes, but whatev. This is beautiful regardless of the little oops' ~ I'm on like, my fourth eleventh listen or something now! I could listen to this song on repeat for hours. Better yet; a playlist of the dubs I've heard of it! Like Renna's, HanaPro's, this one, etc! Butyeah~ This is so sweet and enchanting! Ayuna did a swell job taking on the chinese, she sings the melodies in this song wonderfully, and has nice emotion!
And though my opinion on mixing isn't worth much (lol), it sounds fine to me. Really, she wins big in my book simply for song choice. That doesn't mean y'all should all jump up and dub this song though, hah. Slow songs don't suit everyone, but Ayuna sang this well and I for one think it's most certainly worth a listen! When dubbers put time into their own solos, they are always worth a couple of clicks!
*waterpixieva ~ Run Devil Run / After something so sweet, we need to heat things up a little; get that sugar to melt! And Eva is the deliciously adorable fire that'll do the job! She's an incredible singer and I always LOVE listening to her in the various group dubs she participates in. Solos are in a way even better, cause it's all her. Sometimes I have to make myself not talk about her too much when it's not a solo, lol.
I think this song will forever be popular. Mainly because it's one of the most smexy songs SNSD has ever done (Tell Me Your Wish is maybe the second). And this is a perfect song choice for Eva's vocals and talent! She really brings the attitude -with her own little kick of cuteness, like sweet cherries on dark chocolate- and delivers awesomely!
I adore every part of this dub, but the second I saw Eva's username I knew that my ears were in for epicness. It is pretty short, though not too short. And I love how she added in the bloopers at the end!! It goes to show that all of the amazing dubbers you hear; they have to re-do lines sometimes too! No one's perfect, my dears. But one thing is for sure- Eva is an addicting mix of kawaii and kickass!
*miyakochanx3 ~ Renai Circulation / OMFG CUTE! So so so adorable fjkqnfkjnefkj! "I hope I didn't ruin it for you guys" ?!?!? It's silly that the thought even crossed Miyako's mind! I could eat her right now, cause she's like...the vocal representation of the most scrumptious creme puff in existence, or something like that.
She's mellifluous! (Yay thesaurus! Definition; pleasant and/or soothing to listen to, and sweet or rich in tone). That is a excellent word to describe Miyako's marvelous singing! This is one of the cutest dubs ever!! It's been too long since I last listened to something from her, so I am very glad that she shared this with me! I strongly suggest y'all give this girl a listen if you haven't yet. And if the song isn't your cup of tea, try something else by her!
*Liz9419 ~ Live-Medley / One thing that I absolutely love about Lizzie, is that she totally throws herself into whatever she's singing. She may hit quite a few offish notes, and have some lyric tripups here 'n there, but she sings with passion and does it purely for the fun found in dubbing. I really like her mature sound and her amount of umph!
Yay for a complete oneshot recording! Listening to Liz's little bits of talking inbetween songs is cool. I also like how she picked different kinds of songs, and not super similar ones. I'm not a big fan of the slow AAA tune in the beginning, just cause the song itself doesn't appeal to me a ton. I like more upbeat songs by that group. But it's a splendid start! I like the chorus~
!!! I was so happy to see Nanchatte Renai on the list (most of y'all know how I love it, lol). Lizzie apologized about the job she did on it afterwards, but I think she sounds outstanding! It's one of my favorite parts of the medley. Namida no Iro turned out lovely, and out of C-ute's singles I think it's a song that suits very Liz well.
D'aw, I like her a lot on Gag 100kaibun too! Whereas the previous two songs were more...upbeat and mature ? this song is pure cuteness; so it's a change, but not a bad one. She has great energy and delivers well! I couldn't help but lol some while listening to Lizzie sing Otakebi Boy WAO- she's so growly and intense, she yells a little bit too much but puts a smile on your face.
My faves are definitely the 2nd and 3rd songs, but all of the parts of this medley are delightful. Overall, this is wonderful! I'm sorry that it took me a while to get around to all of these sensational dubs, but my happiness in having them shared with me easily outweighs that.
*ekichida ~ Ookii Hitomi / What is with all the freaking kawaii-ness of these solos?! *drowns in the cuteness* Also, many of them are no more than 1-2 minutes in length. But you won't find me complaining, they actually load faster which is a good thing for tonight. But back to Emi; UWAH she's utterly darling!!
I love the sound of her voice- she totally rocked this song! I'm not familiar with it, but it's very catchy and I like the melody. It's always fun to sing a song that you really like, and you can tell that Emi is enjoying herself. She has fabulous energy and overall turned out a spectacular dub!
You can barely tell that she sang over the already existing vocals! Though I do hear a little faint fuzzy-like sound when she sings, which I'm thinking is from her mic? It's not that noticable, and Emi's super sweet singing completely pushes it into the vortex of it-doesn't-matter. This is tremendous!!
--Whoa, note to self; don't put head down again, lol. I'm too likely to drift off and wake up at 6am with sore limbs from sleeping at the computer. I'm sleepy, but I want to at least finish this entry before I get off for the night. Sorry if my word count lessens, heh. Moving on!
*xMomoK ~ EVERYDAY Zekkouchou / This song can be tricky to sound energetic on. I've heard several groupdubs of it, and almost every time I want to say 'more energy' ! but really, because of the easy-going melodies, energy comes off sort of subtle. There aren't any really upbeat parts to be umphy on.
You can hear that Momo is singing with emotion, this song just has a way of...making energy seem less, if that makes sense. She is a tad pitchy throughout, but did a swell job overall. Ohmygosh, first full length dub of the entry! lol. In the drop-down section, Momo links her blog where she'll be providing some MP3s!! And y'all know I'm all for that! I wish her oodles of fun on her challenge!
*animefreakXDD ~ Arigatou ~Ookiku Kansha!~ / Marry me, Saya. I ADORE this song and haven't heard too many dubs of it; this is super sweet and totally kawaii !!! I'm glad that she took the time to record the four different parts, and I think she has a nice amount of energy. Sometimes on the group lines, notes vary slightly in key on the four parts and cause bits of discord when heard together. But those spots only niggle at your ears a little.
I really like Saya on the verses! Heck, I love her on all of the melodies of the song; the pre-chorus is lovely+cute and the chorus so bubbly & awesome! kjfnejkswfnjke I rabu rabu how she sounds in this!! All of the dubs thus far have been amazing, but hearing this song totally made my night.
This is the third part of Saya's solo event; "I decided to have a summer solo event, and I will try to upload a solo every 2 weeks. There is no set tracklist, so I'm just choosing songs I like..." This is by far my favorite of the three parts thus far. I think that this gal sounds fantastic!!
*adelutzah03 ~ Kimagure Princess / I think I need to download this. First off, because Ada was cool enough to include an MP3 dl link (YAY) and also cause this flat out rocks!! She has a gorgeous yet cute voice, strong lines, killer delivery, and epic emotion + umph! I am majorly digging her vocals, her sound is very ear-pleasing and I really like her on this song!
My brain is stalling because of how tired I am, so I'm no where near giving Ada the praise that she deserves for this dazzling dub. Just give it a listen for yourselves and you'll see how brilliant is it. She told me that she's been following this blog and that makes me crazy happy ;w; ILY'ALL.
I may end up talking about a few of these dubs more in depth- I'm not sure at the moment. But if I do, this will certainly be one of them, cause she asked me to, and also because I've talked about the other dubbers more than I ever recall blogging about Ada. Annnnd I'm off to bed now~
HEY HEY! Just wanted thank those who've taken the time to thank me lately. As well as the people who support me a lot. A big thank you to everyone who reads this blog and drops a comment, it's my baby. I have tons of fun and hear some pretty amazing dubs. Don't ever give up on your dreams, and continue to sing your hearts out!
Annnnnd moving on~
Fun story of the day: We babysit my sister's best friend's six-yr-old daughter a lot, my parents are her god-parents, so she's my god-sister for easier termage. She came over while I was writing the ChiiAyu entry on Blabodu and wanted to know what I was doing. So I shared an ear bud with her and we listened/watched Ayuchan's whole Eyes on Me dub together. She agreed with me that it's very pretty.
Next thing I knew she was sitting on my lap and we were watching the Reina, Maimi, Megumi, Momoko concert video I have of Suki Sugite Baka Mitai......You can read the rest of my rambling here. But long story short; I had fun sharing the epicness that is H!P with a sweet little girl.
Seishun Collection by XangelfirebabeX / Waaaah, I didn't know that Angeru had dedicated a dub to me!! That's incredibly sweet of her ;w; I'm glad she told me about it in the shoutbox, or else I don't know if I would have run across it. I'll explain some info on me in this entry, but first; the dub! LOL I find it somewhat amusing that Angeru dedicated this song to me, because I don't like it. But! It is most certainly the thought that counts. This is wonderful!!
She's somewhat pitchy now and then, but overall she sounds terrific. For all that I don't like this song, it's melodies suit Angeru! I like her the most on the verses; she starts the dub off nicely, and the second verse is just as marvelous as the first. The chorus is swell, but there's a bit of strain on the higherish notes. I think she's stronger on the verses. Though I really like the little chorus-piece with less music at 3:41. Song choice aside, this is lovely. Angeru delivers with a good amount of emotion, and regardless of her pitchiness, I truly enjoyed listening.
Dubbing isn't about being perfect; we're humans not robots. There are always going to be some things that we think could be better or use improvement, but it's those things that are part of what makes dubbing what it is- a bunch of people singing, working hard but above all having fun. Whatever is learned in the process is just cherries on top, and if you want to go further than dubbing, beyond the clouds and try to reach for the stars; DO IT!
One of the reasons I didn't know about Angeru's solo is because I work off my subscriptions list, and if you aren't on it, it's less likely that I'll see your dubs. The other reason would be that I'm sometimes too busy cause of work, but in that case usually the whole BTW is pushed back.
SO! The image above lists my active YT accounts. MiriuOniaya is my main. Blabodu is where I sub to projects and groups, because it's an easy way to keep track of them all. BlaboduNP is the account I made once I started dedicating BTW entries to solos. The NP simply stands for 'non project' and it's where I subscribe to dubber's main accounts, to help me when I blog about solos.
If I'm not subbed to you there, unless you request that I check out your solo, I might not know about it. And it's not just solos; when I see duets or other non-project dubs on someone's account I often give'em a listen. So I would like to take this time to say; shoot me a message or add the account as a friend and I'll sub you. It's not nesscessary, but if you're interested in me keeping an eye out for your dubs it's easier on me.
Arigatou ~Ookiku Kansha! LOL, no really. Thanks y'all!
Blabbing about dubs. Hello and welcome to my blog! I'm just an Asian music lover who enjoys taking part in the dubbing communities on YouTube. Here I am going to be tossing out my opinions just for fun, and hopefully meeting more awesome people along the way!
