2010 Natsu Interdubbing Medley Concert

ATTENTION!

I must interrupt the plans in my head for the next few entries to write this entry. I fell in love with Renna's singing the moment I discovered her through yoproject forums via hearing her Ame no Fu etc dub. Then I learned that she's an amazing mixer and a hard worker who puts together her own ideas and projects as well as helps out other people. After a friendly nudge from Liana I looked into HelloProjectAllStars -run by Renna- and was impressed with her work there, and shortly thereafter, fell in love with Femme Fatale.

Then a little but ago, Renna told me about this next project she was working on. I haven't talked to her since, so I don't really know any of the ins and outs (and no one that would know is on MSN *shot*), but I shall stumble through this entry anyways!! I'm sure she's had some help from the participating leaders, and overall many people worked -individually and together- to make the following possible, and thus it is born!!

Yo!Project, Totally Up! Project, Hana Project
IroKokoroProject, SekainoMelody, MilkyStar Project
Pinky Team, Charms! Project, Hoshizora Dubs
Creme Project, Kirei na Project, Pafekuto Project

Hanabi Project, Kanashimi Twilight, Saikyo Studios

"The songs are coming out in (hopefully) the same order listed in the menu. In the case where a group still has not turned in their files, the next available video will be uploaded!" I am guessing that since this is the first track to be released but the second track in the concert, the first track is not ready yet.

I have no CClyrics, I'm not positive the castlist is completely correct, and I don't know all the songs used in the medley. I'd like to get a bit more info before I write about this, but I thought I'd share with y'all since it's out! I really like the "Please be Freedom" part of this! Have a listen and enjoy!

U lee da go nolee jee ma la yo

I have recently become addicted to Femme Fatale *o*

~ Girl's Generation ~

I asked Renna (HPAllStars) for the MP3s of all their releases not too long ago, then I put'em all on their own playlist and I just can't get enough of them!!! Girls' Generation is one of my favorite SNSD song's (though they have so so many amazing songs) & it, Baby Baby and Into the New World are probably my current three favorites from Femme Fatale. But I also completely adore their other dubs; Gee, Oppa Nappa and Kissing You.

~ Into The New World ~

I could go on and on and on about how much I love them. This entry would be HUGE. But since that would probably take the rest of the night for me to write my individual thoughts and loves about each song, I'm not going to. At least not now. I've already written about Kissing You, and I hope to write about the others sometime in the future. But I mostly just wanted to say how AMAZING they are, and strongly suggest y'all give'em a listen.

~ Baby Baby ~

ƒƒ has had a few line-up changes over the span of their existence. The first nine girls are the original cast, and the girls after that are one who have joined when spots opened. Renna said a little something in the drop-down section of Baby Baby;

"I would like to bring Winnies26, parkyoona3, xoxohappyberry and strawberrymilkandtea / yurugettsu into the spotlight for staying with the group since the beginning! We started out with 9 members in the original cast and over the course of 4 singles, we've had more than half the group leave or move around but these 4 have always been great singers that turned in lines on time and contributed actively to the group in their roles! -applause-"

~ Oppa Nappa ~
(only xoxohappyberry, loveforever678, winnieshine)

Femme Fatale is:

xoxohappyberry
loveforever678
winnieshine
aqhenqalan
ButterFic8991
strawberrymilkandtea*
tweetychick630
Winnies26
parkyoona3

xLovexRinx
tsubasakarekano
TinyTaiphoon
renshikyo
yurugettsu*
lovelybeige

*username / account change

~ Gee ~

I have all of the box.net download links for these songs, but I don't want to give them out without permission. If Renna says I can, then I'd be more than happy to add all of the links to this entry, since I know she's a busy bee and it's no trouble for me.

When I added all of Femme Fatale's songs to my MP3 player, I removed the versions that I had by SNSD. I hope to eventually add in a dub of Tell Me Your Wish, Way To Go, Run Devil Run, and more! Not necessarily only by ƒƒ. I am going to replace Wonder Girls' So Hot with Star!U's recent dub (which I haven't heard yet). I want to fill my files with dubs!!

Kissing You

I hope y'all enjoy these as much as I do!! I know this isn't the only SNSD dubbing group out there, it's just one that's caught my attention. I'm always open to listening to whatever y'all send my way. Long as your patient with me, lol.

Misc Auds

"Five months ago something epic started. And now we want you to be part of it. Can you sing with energy? Can you sing with passion? Can you follow rules? Can you fight for your dreams? Can you sing better than Koharu? Can you be the best? . . . .three girls will join us. You're welcome to try. May the best win. Game on."

LOL, I find this video highly amusing, in a good way. I think Hello! Club put a cool spin to this audition video of theirs. Auditioning isn't really about beating out other people, but the dramaticness of the video makes me smile. I like how well the pictures go along with whatever the text is at the time. The drop-down section has the audition form and rules~

"Hi everyone! I got a bit overwhelmed with the weekly video updates for the auditions so I've decided that this one will be used for a permanent audition video. The Hello!Project All Stars Idol Competition of Summer 2010 has opened for auditions until all 16 weeks/themes are completed." You can read more in the video's drop-down.

It's 5am, so I'm not functioning very well right now. Just trying to get this entry posted so I can crawl into bed, LOL. I met Renna today, the creator and leader of HPAS, and she is a really nice girl. Check out my entry on the contest, where links are included.

Kira!Kira Project Generation 2 auditions / The majority of the info is in the video. But you can find an audition form in the drop-down, as well as which spots are currently open. I would have put more of the info that's in the video also in the drop-down, since you have to stop and play the video & the text isn't always super easily readable (depending on size). But, don't hesitate to apply if you're interested!!

HPAS

The latest from the Hello Project All Stars Contest;

CharmyStar01 as Satoda Mai
Renshikyo as Ishikawa Rika

Sakura Mankai [H!P-AS 2010 Idol Preliminary Duet 3] / fenwfjk fkejwbf kefjbnefjk ekwjfnejkw ! ! ! I LOVE this song. It's gorgeous. The chorus always makes me all fjnefjk shivery and smiley. I would DIE if Renna sang this song solo, she suits it SO well.

Anyways!! The second dubber who would have participated in this dub didn't turn their lines in, that's why Renna is in this dub. At first I was like, Huh? Then I read the description and got it. *tsks and waggles pointer finger* Lines not turned in. But! Congrats to Charmy - this is a lovely dub and she did a marvelous job! I like her mature voice, and though some of her notes are off, she did very well!

rcb2418 as Abe Natsumi
xLovelyWindy as Matsuura Aya

Kousui [H!P-AS 2010 Idol Preliminary Duet 4] / First off, props to both of these ladies for taking part in this contest! Lovely has a really adorable voice; she delivered all her solos splendidly!! Rcb is a little pitchy, but she did a good job on her lines and I really like her on the rap!! Also, she tackled the higher notes well in the second half of the dub, and Lovely finished it off fantastically~

HPAS

OHEMGEE, I HAVE BEEN PUTTING THIS OFF SINCE LIKE, MAY 23RD. Which is really only 12 days, but for some reason it feels like a lot longer. Liana from Yo!Pro contacted me that day with the hope that I would write about Renna's HPAS contest, and then proceeded to, in detail, explain it a little bit to me. She provided some very helpful links too!

I feel awful that it took me so long to get around to this, since she took the time to send me such a kick-butt PM. Things just kept grabbing my attention and keeping me busy. But I finally put my foot down and was like; THIS SH*T IS HAPPENIN' and so, here we go!!

(RenshiKyo @ YT)

What do you think when you see her name? I think BUNNY, since that's her icon on the yopro forums, lol. I also think Ame no Furanai, cause that was the first dub I ever listened to by her. I also think EPIC because of her crazy skills; like the 47 person All For One dub that she organized and mixed.

I also think HOMGRABURABU after hearing her My love is a stapler dub, which I am so in love with. And now that I look at all the work that she's putting into this Hello Project All Star Contest of hers, I'm just like; WHOA. A good kind of whoa. So, since things are sometimes better 'straight from the horse's mouth' I am going to do a little quoting!

"Renna here! Some of you may remember me as the 2009 Hello! Project All Stars' All for One and One for All producer and mixer. Over the course of the year after 2009's project concluded, I have been mulling over countless ideas about how to set up the 2010 project. Perhaps introduce another summer shuffle, or cover a single/CD, but no. Those ideas have all been done before too..

"Finally, I came to the conclusion of making a friendly idol competition with 3 objectives - 1) Set up a little single-elimination competition just for fun. 2) Cover a concert [GAM 1st Concert Tour 2007] and 3) Create a chorus for a summertime-related piece [Natsu Love Romance]."

More can be read in the Introduction, Objectives, Rules & Orientation thread found on Renna's HPAS forums. Also the rules are listed there as well. I shall try and break this down a little bit for y'all~

Auditions are done by week, and from what I've seen it's not one week right after another. Other wise Renna and the judges would be crazy busy trying to keep up. There will be 16 weeks in total, and they are announced when things from the previous week have been finished up. Renna posts a video on the HelloProjectAllStars YouTube channel, revealing who the winners are from the previous week and opening up auditions for the next, as well as providing you any info you need.

"Does the submission have to be a solo of a C-ute song or can it be a role in a groupdub where you sing as a lead?" A very good question, and one that someone and I had talked about. Not just about C-ute's week, but overall in general. And Renna says, "Both are acceptable; if it is a groupdub, make sure to specify which role it is since I need to get a copy of the colour coded lyrics to each judge."

The week is exactly that; seven days in which you have to audition. For example, the most recent week was begun May 19th and ended May 26th. As far as I know, there is no limit to how many people can audition. And as Liana told me, "Every week has a different H!P related theme. . . .You record. . . .and Renna sends it to her super secret panel of completely unbiased judges. If you score within the top 4, you pass!"

The whole point of auditions is to get a total of 64 participants. Renna has this whole thing mapped out! Once the audition weeks are over, the preliminaries will begin. After those, it goes; 1st round, 2nd round, quarterfinals, semifinals, and then the finals - which will have taken the numbers down to only two people! It is all explained in depth by Renna in her H!P-AS Idol Competition Natsu 2010 Procedures thread.

As mentioned earlier in this entry, each week has a certain theme. For whatever week is going on at the time, you may only post a dub as a video response if it falls under the current theme. Again, Renna is on top of the game and has already chosen the themes for all 16 weeks.

HPAS is on week seven right now, which has actually ended. The theme was Guardians 4 OR S/mileage. Just for kicks and giggles, I'll go over what the themes for all the weeks, including ones that have passed. And I shall also try and list who the winners were. We'll start off with the first three weeks;

Week 1 ~ Morning Musume ~ Winners:
TokiDokiHaato, hitsugayahinamori
XxHitomixX, CharmyStar01

Week 2 ~ Berryz Koubou ~ Winners:
AzNxRawRx, Manami1992
MollyxFace, deliriumlight

Week 3 ~ C-ute ~ Winners:
mysteryotaku, FuyumiPopo
Maliciousdevice, tsubasakarekano

Week 4 ~ Buono ~ Winners:
Fuonyuri, DcGoddess3
TalentlessLoser, CreamToLove

Week 4 ~ v-u-den ~ Winners:
MichiMoni, lilmenchi
lilxicanita, rcb2418

Week 6 ~ Minimoni ~ Winners:
xLovelyWindy, writerserenyty
Catanaition, LovelyTakaGaki

Week 7 ~ Guardians 4 OR S/mileage
Week 8 ~ Petitmoni OR Tanpopo
Week 9 ~ Country Musume OR Coconuts Musume
Week 10 ~ Summer Shuffle A or B sides
Week 11 ~ W / Week 12 ~ Kirarin Revolution
Week 13 ~ GAM / Week 14 ~ Melon Kinenbi
Week 15 ~ Otomegumi, Sakuragumi
OR Tanjou 10nen Kinentai A/B-side
Week 16 ~ Natsu Love Romance

And that is it for now!! I really need to go to bed, lol, I'm so tired. The above dub is the latest duet released by HPAS, and is part of the preliminaries. You should have a listen. Only one other duet has been completed and uploaded; ENDLESS LOVE ~I Love You More~ - And last but not least, I suggest you check out and subscribe to the channel, and audition if you're interested!!

If you have any questions, you can ask me in a comment and I will try and find out for you. Or you can always contact Renna, who I've linked in this post, up at the top. Thanks to Liana for the friendly nudge and lots of luck to Renna with this awesome project of hers.

DOO DOO ROO DOO DOO DOO

xoxohappyberry - jessica
tsubasakarekano - tiffany
winnieshine - seohyun
Tinytaiphoon - yuri
ButterFic8991 - hyoyeon
strawberrymilkandtea - sunny
lovelybeige - yoona
Winnies26 - taeyeon
parkyoona3 - sooyoung

Kissing You by Femme Fatale (HelloProjectAllStars) / I could MARRY the chorus of this song; it's gorgeous and adorable. One thing that I am SO glad about, is the names that appear when people are singing. Cause we all know Aya fails at knowing the names of Korean girl groups, so I'd be lost in a second. Youtube may have jacked the timing up, but it doesn't even matter; the overall sound of this dub is EPIC! (forenote, I am pulling these lyrics from jpopasia, if I get something wrong, it's their mistake, I fail at korean)~

All of the "doo doo roo doo doo doo kissing you baby" lines in this are fantastic! Totally cute, and the blending sounds kick-butt amazing. 0:29 is winnieshine, and oh em gee; what an awesome first solo. I love her voice and she delivers so well. Following her at 0:33 is lovelybeige, who sounds super sweet/cute. 0:38 is Winnies26, and I like her ending "booreujyo"

Chorus!! 0:44 - jgnesw fejkwfnjk gndrejkgne ! ! ! I love love love love the chorus, in the song itself, but here in this dub it's fan-freaking-tastic. I adore the opening "geudaewa" and, idk what to call them, then ending two syllables of the first two lines? It's "guhdgo" and "japgo" - they sound wonderful!! 0:54 is strawberrymilkandtea, who sounds lovely on her solo. More epic chorus, and then we have Tinytaiphoon at 1:10; I love the emotion that she sings with, makes her fun to listen to - I especially like her "giboon chohan"

1:26 is tsubasakarekano; I don't know much about Korean, but she seems to pronounce her words very clearly. Like, her words have clear seperated syllables that fit right along with the music, if that makes sense - her "gamgo" "ibsooreh" and "hamyuhn" sound good. ButterFic8991 at 1:30; wow, I love the sound of her voice, so lovely-mature. I really like her "moori deuruhdo"

xoxohappyberry at 1:35 - right after she sings her "nuhmuhgago" there is an echo that sounds like "gago" and I love it! I like her ending "deulrijyo" & following is the spectacular chorus again!! GAH, I LOVE the way these girls sounds together! 2:07 is parkyoona3, omg she has a deliciously sweet voice! I like her high note on "sarangeh" and her ending "hanmadi" & 2:12-2:27 is oodles of lovely solos! (I think it goes, in order, strawberrymilkandtea, Winnies26, and xoxohappyberry).

A second later at 2:28 is winnieshine; I love solos in the last quarter of the song when the music quiets down and you can really hear whoever is singing. She sounds magnificent! And about 2:34, xoxohappyberry has the little echo part that Jessica sings - "naega isseurgeh" - you mostly hear her on the "isseurgeh" and she hit that high note amazingly, spot on!!

tsubasakarekano's 3:00 solo is darling, her "chohan" sounds cute. The last solo of the song is by winnieshine at 3:08 and it's beautiful; not very long, sadly. I love love her "hanmadi" - her notes on it are so pretty. THIS IS AN EFFING EPIC DUB. GO LISTEN, NAO *shamelessly plugs*

Yo!ricon

"Like all new things at Y!P, this is an experiment and we'll see where it goes. We've been talking about doing something like this for foreeeever. . . .Since soooo many dubs get posted here in a month we are constantly looking for ways to recognize the really awesome ones. So top 10 'billboard' kind of thing sprang from that!"

Ohmygosh, I love this idea!! I never seem to have enough time to keep up with everything, even though I try. YouTube hosted dubs end up being my main focus, since it's all on the same site, and I'm not subscribed to everyone, lol. So sometimes places like Yo!Project's forums, SnM & AK get pushed to the back burner. I'm glad to have something like this to look forward to. Here is the thread Liana made about it and the YT video.

#10 - Skirt Hirari produced by shockingbuggy (Himasenka)
#9 - Loveless produced by Celia (YT: xxoxxSetsunaxxoxx)
#8 - Romance Irane produced by Panchii (project: Hirari*YO)
#7 - Naichau Kamo/VTR/Mikan produced by Liana (yoproject)
#6 - Yume to Genjitsu produced by Liana (yoproject)
#5 - SONGS produced by Liana (yoproject)
#4 - It's You (download) produced by Coxychox
#3 - This is Unmei produced by Renna (H!PAllStars)
#2 - Koi no Dancesite produced by Liza (yoproject)
#1 - Bump Bump produced by Liana (yoproject)

I've heard numbers 10, 8, 5, 3, 2, and 1 for sure. I think 7 as well. I love Celia's Loveless!! She has an amazing voice that a pleasure to listen to. #6 is an awesome song and a fabulous dub; great trio. #4 is another 'omg I haven't heard this yet' song (Celia's was the first one, lol). Coxychox sounds fantastic! I really like her singing & she's got a pwnsome voice. I like her song choice too. These two and Bump Bump are probably my favorites, though every one of these dubs are spectacular!

More Misc

Awai / Ami / Zarah
Malice / Sachiko / Michi

Otakebi Boy Wao by PA-FE Kyuuto / LOL, OH YEAH OTAKEBI! I can't help but laugh, since I just did that big entry on this song yesterday. It's just a popular song, has been since it came out and it probably will be for a while, until Berryz comes out with another epic song.

I'm not going to go into detail because I don't think I can break this down again so soon. But I will say that this is really good! I'm loving it. So props to the cast for doing such a great job. "PA-FE Kyuuto will soon be holding generation 2 auditions so please look forward to that! After our gen 2 members are chosen they will debut in our very first concert!!" Something to look forward to.

Sugaya Risako: Lily (therealallisons)
Natsuyaki Miyabi & Sudou Maasa: Reika (candyraver009)
Tsugunaga Momoko & Tokunaga Chinami: Saya (animefreakXDD)
Kumai Yurina & Shimizu Saki: Kimiko (KimikoOkami)

Tsukiatteru no ni Kataomoi by Shiawase Clover (KireinaProject) / I think I've already said that I don't care for this song; it's not bad, but not my fave. But!! This dub is fabulous! Ohmy. Lily started the dub off with her first solo at 0:29. She has a very lovely voice, and sang with character, but I feel she could sing with a bit more energy and sound twice as good. I also liked her at 0:53, especially the "gokoro."

Reika sounds so freaking cute!! I like her at 2:00 cause she has two solos in a row, lol. I adore her singing; all her solos were epic. I really like her on the early part of the verse-melody, like at 0:44. Pwnage. Kimiko's first two solos were nice but I think she needs to sing with more energy. I liked her last solo a lot, at 3:46, her "Anata ni kataomoi."

Saya is a complete darling, and she sounds so kawaii. She suits Momo very well, and her lines were all spot on! Her "Ne Ii desho" at 1:08 was great. I really love how peppy and bubbly she is, she's realyl fun to listen to. If this were a different song, I'd download in a heartbeat, lol. Y'all should definitely have a listen. You're ears will be thanking you~

And!! They list their next song as Passion E-CHA E-CHA by Berryz! I love that song! "ONCE MORE, CALL ME, PLEASE" - I hope they do a version with Maiha ;w; I miss her so much.

deliriumlight as Yajima Maimi
TokiDokiHaato as Suzuki Airi

ENDLESS LOVE ~I Love You More~ / This blew my mind a little. I love the chorus where they sing together, the blending is OMG! And they both nailed their solos. I really need to look into this H!P-AS 2010 Summer Idol contest.

"It will basically be similar to American Idol (this is what inspired me) but slightly different. The studio is planning to gather J-pop fandubbers on youtube and on other sites to audition and try their luck if they can get in to the final lineup and join the official competition.

The winner willpretty much be decided by the viewers as they vote for their favorite singer. 3 Judges will be doing the pre-screening and they shall be giving the constructive criticisms during the competition."

Don't hesitate to audition if you're interested / YT link / Blog

DO IT~

An example of the craziness that is the color coded lyrics for Do It! Now (Best Shot Version), released on HelloProjectAllStars' channel, with a cast from Yoproject forums. This was shared with me by the lovable Tomo (TomokyoHamasaki). I first listened to it last night, and I've been listening to it for the past 5-10 minutes.

"It's complete! The insane (best-shot) version of Do it! Now! Containing all 4 versions that were recorded over 4 years by H!P, the lyrics have been dissected and reproduced by singers of Yo! Project!" And some more words from the producer/mixer, Renna, taken from the thread she created in Yoproject's Karaoke section; "Every 2 words, there's a singer/microphone change and 6 hours into the mixing, audacity died.. AND I DIDN'T SAVE so I pretty much mixed this piece twice."

The amount of time and work she put into this is mind blowing. There are spots where a single word is sung by two or three different people, one per syllable. And if it's not that, it's as Renna said, every two words there's a singer change. Plus there are a bunch of different little groups of two or three, where their lines had to be mixed together - and it was done so, seamlessly.

And let's not forget - "Mixing this was devilish as everyone has different microphone qualities but I've done the best I could to equalize it!" Well I think she did a fantastic job!! It sounds like all of these girls were recording in the same room! I'm with hirokibaby, "I like how the volume for everyone's voice is almost the same, so it felt really nice listening to all the transitions from voice to voice."

"It was more frustrating than hard, but I'm glad it's finally done." Freaking 12 hours, somewhere around there is how long this took. I probably would have cried if I got six hours in and had to start all over again. I agree with Gypchan from the forums, "I have no idea how you mixed all of it with all the problems you say you had and did not just throw in the towel halfway through."

Renna's dedication is definitely admirable. "r-e-s-p-e-c-t for your mixing" says FuyumiPopo, and I think the entire dubbing community is thinking the same thing. Here is the link for y'all. If you want to download the MP3, Renna was cool enough to hand it out in the Yoproject thread; so I can actually get it for myself and share it with y'all.

Cast list~

Michishige Sayumi - Tomokyo
Tanaka Reina - Zoey
Takahashi Ai - Renna
Konno Asami - Gidget
Iida Kaori - Gypchan
Yaguchi Mari - K
Ishikawa Rika - XxHitomixX
Niigaki Risa - Manami
Fujimoto Miki - Eririn
Ogawa Makoto - Manon
Kamei Eri - Sera
Yoshizawa Hitomi - Celia

Do It! Now (Best Shot Version) / It'd take me forever to break this up like I usually would, so I'm not going to. I will say that there is incredible pure talent pouring from this dub in waves, seriously. Every single of these singers sounds amazing!! I hear so so so many lines that I completely love. The duets/trios are flipping awesome - so much epic blending.

The "shu-du-du-du" are fun and adorable!! I love everything about this dub; the verses and the chorus. And the rap-singing part starting at 2:03 is so cool and turned out fabulously! The overall energy level was great, such gusto. This dub is beyond spetacular!!
