SnM

AHA! SMART ATTACK! Well, not really. I'm behind on everything, but I figured I'd check up on SnM and see what they've been up to, and let me tell you; a lot!! So I want to cover some of their stuff before I'm way way behind with them as well. Here we gooo!

ValeriA’s 11th release brings together a wide range of genres and languages to create a beautifully otherworldly feel. From the Celtic inspired Anataboshi to the Chinese ballad Tears from Polaris, ValeriA shows once again how versatile they can be. Released May 31st, 2010.

This was released around the same time BOYSTYLE!'s latest album was, and I've already blogged about. I downloaded this full album at the time as well and have heard all the songs on it a number of times, but I haven't gotten around to it until now. In this whole entry I'm going to be brief, unless it's something that has really struck my fancy. Because there is a lot of new stuff and I'd rather write a little and let y'all get a bit of info on them all!

01 - Sweet Dreams are Made of This
02 - Anataboshi
03 - Mayonaka no Shadow Boy
04 - Children of the Night (lilmenchi solo)
05 - Tears from Polaris
06 - Hoshi wo Mezashite (English ver.)

*All download links provided in thread~

(covers by Aqua)

The first track is currently unavailable, due to reasons explained in the official thread for this release. Now on to the tracks! As I mentioned, I'm not going to do into detail on them all, just sort of blab about the album and what I like.

For starts, I'll go ahead and say it; Mayonaka (03) was a slight disappointment. For some reason it's mixed really quietly and I think that took away from it's overall sound. The girls are marvelous, but it's not my fave. Hoshi wo Mezashite (06) is quite pitchy (mainly in the beginning, then a little here and there the rest of the song), but I really like the chorus!! It's wonderful.

Now! For favorites (of the group songs), I'm a bit torn between the 2nd and 5th track, but I think I'm going to go ahead and say that Tears from Polaris (05) is my fave. First off; it's Mandarin which I love the sound of, ohemgee. It's also a song I'm unfamiliar with; the melody is very pretty. And lastly; the vocals are gorgeous! Those three things won me over instantly. I definitely recommend it. Best track IMO.

Anataboshi (02) is such an upbeat song that makes you want to dance, but what really made me like this is the awesome singing, blending and overall sound!! This group of gals are fantastic together! The energy is at a good level for the most part, and there is a great mix of voices- adorable, cute and lovely! All parts of the dub are fabulous, but I think I like the chorus the most.

And lastly, the 4th track is a solo by lilmenchi; Children of the Night (04). She hits a lot of lovely notes, has terrific energy and a nice delivery. You can tell she gets into it, which always makes listening more enjoyable and puts a smile on my face. She did a really nice job! This album was mixed by her, Miri, Elsa and Kristy; so props to all of them. And to all of the ValeriA ladies!

(covers by Zelina!)

From here on out, these are albums that have only been released in the SnM forums, and not yet put up on their official site. Shugo Chara! (Released June 21) Singers: Ameimi, Amy, Aqua, Ariah, Aura, Buggy, Butterfly, Cacchin, CappnNono, Elaina, Elsa, Fairy, Katie, Kiko, Koichiyo, Kokoa, Kyttyee, Lilmenchi, Menami, Miri, Rena, Solaire, Umi, YamiRin. CClyrics.

01 - Kokoro no Tamago
02 - Minna Daisuki
03 - Honto no Jibun
04 - Renai ♥ Rider
05 - Gachinko de Ikou

*All download links provided in thread~

I'll admit that I haven't downloaded anything other than the 2nd and 4th tracks. Minna because I adore the song. And R♥R because I read really good feedback on it & Buggy mixed it. It's just that I've heard the other songs on this album a lot, Buono is popular -x wx- So I wasn't up to hearing any of the other songs again right now.

I suggest you don't follow in my tracks; download everything! lol. I'll get around to the rest of the tracks later. As for the two I did download ~ Minna Daisuki (02) turned out nicely, very kawaii actually! The girls sound darling! I agree with what Miri said in her comment, "Mixing for the most part was pretty good; everything was timed really well. Lots of energy at certain parts, but others were a bit laggy as well." But overall it's sweet.

And Renai ♥ Rider (04) is sensational! I know I've mentioned before that I like the chorus of this song the most, but the other parts are still good (Chorus > pre-chorus > verses). Buggy did a superb job mixing this, and the girls who participated are charming & sound fabulous.

Aw shucks, there is a lot more I want to blog about, but it's heading towards 3am so I'd better sign off for the night. At least I can keep downloading SnM releases and listen to'em until I blog about them again!! And y'all should totally check out Sekai no Melody, they release some amazing dubs~

BOYSTYLE! [SnM]

Gosh, I've been putting this off because I have so much that is niggling at my mind to be written about. I decided to start downloading SnM songs from their latest releases today, so that it would be doing so while I listened to and wrote about other stuff. This time around I'm covering BOYSTYLE!'s latest~

From what the thread tells me, this is one late release, lol. "SORRY ITS TWO YEARS LATE!" So I won't be really commenting on the singers since all their lines are real old; I'll just point out stuff I like and which dubs I like the most. Besides, I have no CClyrics for any of this, therefore I'd be easily lost. I have no cast list either, so I've no clue who participated.

"It’s been a while in the making, but this long-awaited BOYSTYLE! Project release definitely does not disappoint! Enjoy these nine gorgeous tracks bursting with emotion, ranging from energetic to liltingly soothing. Released May 26th, 2010."

*05 Feel your breeze / Easily my favorite on the entire album! If you want some lyrics to refer to I googled and found some. The beginning of this is gorgeous!! I LOVE the melody and the lyrics; "I say, feel your breeze. Anytime, anywhere in my heart..." Whoever sings in this, the group parts are awesome!

For me, the best thing in this song is the blending and how these singers sound together. The whole group, and also spots that sound like duets. I love love'em. There are also oodles of outstanding solos throughout the dub. Ohmygosh, the group parts make me extremely happy. And this is two years old? Pfft. Pure win. About 3:02 and onward blows my mind.

*04 Sorafune / Second fave, hands down! Some more lyrics for reference. Some of the repeatedness of parts bothers me after a little while, but I love the melodies and once again; the beginning drew me right in. The first set of "Sono fune wo koide yuke..." etc lyrics sounds beautifully brilliant! Though it does sound like around 0:11ish maybe the singing and music are a little off from each other, but I don't know this song well enough to say.

The rest of these are sort of in a loose order. Could depend on what I'm in the mood for, could be that in a few days after listening to them more I change my mind. idk. Nothing's set in stone really. Keep that in mind~

*02 Keep the Faith / It took me a moment to figure out who this song is by; KAT-TUN. Lyrics for reference. Out of the remaining seven tracks (including this one), there aren't any songs that I really like. But as I listened to them all, this is probably top of my list. The beat is pretty rockin' and I rather like the chorus. And B!P totally brings the rock, and quite a bit of smexyness too.

The beginning is fab, the "No No No You show me the faith, kanarazu I'll keep it for you..." etc parts are catchy. I prefer the verses and pre-chorus overall though. I like how the individual singers sound on their solos and also on the smaller group parts. The rap is EPIC!! And the following part (2:44) is super. The SnM members are so talented, and don't disappoint.

*01 Kotoba Yori Taisetsu na Mono / Whoa, those low notes in the first verse; they are low, lol, and the girls pulled them off well. I kind of like parts of this song, but not enough that I would pick it off a list of songs. I really like this group of singers, and they sound good on all the different parts. So I find myself enjoying anyways. I adore the "Wow wow wow wow"s, and I like the rap quite a bit, as well as the following part at 3:10.

*08 Beautiful Life
*09 solitude ~Hontou no SAYONARA~

These two tracks are pretty cool actually. I think I even like them more that the previous two I mentioned. But the only spots I am sure of are the first two, so oh well. I'm not going to re-order everything, lol. 08 is fun, definitely catchy, with an upbeat chorus and many nicely hit notes. 09 has a gentle and lovely melody, it's smooth and relaxing.

*06 Seishun AMIGO
*07 Itoshi no NAPOLITAN

When it comes to these last two, the songs are just so so for me. You can't write a dub off simply because of song choice, but it really does have an influence on what you think of it. Sometimes I am totally in love with a dub, regardless if I dislike the song. But other times, I can't get into a dub because of the song. My dislike of it is a barrier. And these songs aren't really my thing. But awesome vocals, just as in the rest of the songs.

S n M (x11)

BOO & YAY ~ I'm sorry I haven't gotten anything up all day! I slept in and showered and stuff, and at one point had to go pick my car up from the shop, and I was working on this entry for quite a while. Then my sister asked to get on and I caved. So this was sitting half way done for more than an hour.

The reason I caved was the YAY! I forgot that my layoff includes tomorrow! And! on top of that, I have thursday as one of my days off this next work week! So I still have the next two days off! UWAH. Anyways, onward~ (btw, if I ever screw up and say she/her and it's a guy; I'm sorry! I'm so used to listening to girls, so I go with that as my default unless I know otherwise).

The covers for Sekai no Melody's latest release are AMAZING. Huge props to Zelina, the designer. Thanks to Kristy and Elsa for telling me about this album, since I otherwise wouldn't have found out about it for a while. I need to make sure to check the SnM forums when looking for updates. Just browsing through now, and I'm already downloading things I haven't heard yet. I'm all hyped up to do some catching up.

SnM's Discography page is pretty up to date, and there you can find the majority of releases by the Language Teams; French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. The final group is the focus of this entry; the Korean Language Team, which has had five releases in total.

SnM seems to have about 1-4 songs per release; sometimes a little more or less. Anything more than that I'd probably consider an album or mini-album rather than a single. That said, Kteam's [R]Evolution is their first album, with a total of nine tracks. I've downloaded the whole thing and listened to all the songs. Here is the color-coded lyrics for everything.

After listening to two of the songs a lot, I've decided that this is my favorite. Ohmy, I love the "B to the i to the g (bang bang)" parts in the beginning and end!! They sound so cool. This is a really catchy song, very upbeat, and everyone did a fabulous job on bringing energy/emotion to it.

Shiio at 0:19, I really like her little laughing "ha ha" and the attitude on "hey move." I loved Omni's "bang bang" too. All of the "baby baby baby" lines throughout the song were awesome and energetic. 0:58 to 1:11 is all Elsa and Omni, both nailed their solos and they sound good as a duo. 1:19 is Shiio on her longest solo, I like "neowa nae saiui kkeun jeoldaenochimareo."

1:54 is Honey's kick-butt solo with Yuki doing little backup-like lines, and joining in on the "geonji"s, which sound great. Omni at 2:08; kjnfkjefnkejng. She is such an amazing rapper!! Lilmenchi has a solo in the midst of it and she sounds splendid. 2:51 is Yuki (her "you know" is cute) followed by an energetic lilmenchi.

For the sets of lines that start with "I don’t wanna be without you boy" (see lyrics), they're by two different groups. 0:28 group one (Omni, Shiio, Honey), 1:25 group two (lilmenchi, Elsa, Yuki, Omni), and at 2:22 you can hear one group right after the other. From 3:05 to 3:19 everyone gets a line, and they all sound superb!

A second later you can hear the two groups again, it goes; group 1 (3:20), group 2 (3:23), group 1 (3:27). Then there are more of those awesome "b to the i to the g (bang bang)"s. I immensely enjoyed this. Definitely worth a listen~

Second fave. I really like the melodies in this, it's such a lovely song and the four who sang it for us sound wonderful. I love how they sound together on the chorus, the blending is so good. One thing I like about listening to boy-group songs from SnM and AK, is that the girls sound amazing on the lower notes. I'm a sucker for them, and my mind is constantly blown by covers like this.

Omni's "ohhh" at 0:11 was beautiful. Wow, it wasn't until I looked at the lyrics that I knew; this song is all solos, duets and trios until the very end. All of the little pairings sound spetacular. I was also confused at first because the color-code has six singers, but then I figured out the obvious (it was noted, duh Aya); Rose and CappanNono were covered by Omni and Honey.

YouJuChan's "Whenever you be at home" in the beginning was lovely, I adore how she sounds on "be at home." She did great on the first two solo lines of the song, and I also really like her at 1:55. I loved Elsa's "Uh. . .Bang ‘em" at 1:23, she sounded so, I'm-so-cool. Her 0:33 solo was really good as well. Honey starts the rap at 2:37, followed by Omni at 3:02 - both of them delivered so well! They totally nailed their parts, and had great emotion.

3:10 is where they all sing together, and it's awesome. nfklenfjnswefkjnejn. All of these girls have awesome vocals; this is full of fabulously hit notes, fantastic solos and it's all topped off with an epic chorus. I could listen to this over and over again. Wait, I've already been doing that~

These are the next three, in order of which I liked more. The "La la" parts in Heaven are catchy, I really really like the verses, and the chorus is great. The beginning in We Belong Together is cute/good, and all the rapping is cool. I like the chorus but at the same time it's repetitive melody annoys me. Sunset Glow is very upbeat and fun. The chorus sounds awesome, but it's not the kind of song I can listen to over and over.

If I don't like a song, then I'm usually not going to like listening to a cover of it; no matter how good it is. So while I enjoy hearing the dubbers, a dislike of the song is what it is. That's the case in the previous three's order, and the reason these last four are are on the lower end of the scale for me. It's nothing to do with vocals.

I've always liked the song Haru Haru, but I've loved it ever since I downloaded AK's release of it. I don't like comparing different covers, and I'm not going to. But haven't you ever had it where you hear a certain version of a song, and then nothing else seems to exactly measure up to it for you? That's what it's like for me now. This is a really good dub of an awesome song, but I liked other songs on this album much more than it.

With La La La, Dirty Cash, and Number 1 it's mainly the songs. I don't like any of them very much and so don't get much enjoyment listening to them. But I did listen to them all at least a couple of times and all of the participants did a fabulous job! Props~

I figured while I was already blogging about SnM's Kteam, I'd cover two other songs, both from their 4th single, Passion; one's been on my computer and I forgot about it's epicness until now, and the other is a new discovery.

FIRE / The first time I heard this song by 2NE1 I was like; whatever. Since then I've heard at least three smashing dubs of it and now I can't help but like it. While my sister was online I kept singing the "Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh 2NE1" lol. Cause I'd been listening to this cover, which is completely fill of win.

fjkwfjkwfnew, the beginning is EPIC. I loved "I go by the name of CL of 2NE1" - Kristy was so hot, she totally brought it. Omni and Elsa were awesome on their lines as well, and Liya's "Uh oh" was freaking smexy. The autotune effect sounds so good in this! Mz and Elsa's "(we) 2NE1" rule. And Omni's "you gotta ring the alarm" at 0:21 was killer.

Shiio at 1:30 starts off another smokin' round of solos. Her "fire naui gaseumeun" was great, Kristy's "You gotta drop it like it's hot" and Liya's "I gotta drop it like it's hot" were fantastic. The repeated parts (mi mi, tik tik, ri ri, etc) are sung by two groups throughout the song, refer to lyrics. Group 1 (omni, Rose, mzimperfectshun, Elsa, Ariah`, Shiio) Group 2 (Liya, Alice, lilmenchi, Honey, Kristy).

Random parts I like; Kristy and Ariah's blending on their "kkumeul kkumeul kkumeul" duet at 0:49 was super. Ariah's solo at 1:04 was lovely, I adore how she sounded on "beulbitdo." Lilmenchi at 1:25, you can hear the, smile? in her line. lol, she sounds happy/energetic, which is cool. I think 1:39 is Honey, the lyrics confused me some. Either way, that solo is kick-butt. Alice at 2:05, great emotion, I love the way she sings! Rose's solo at 2:11, such attitude!

Liya's "Sori jilleo" at about 2:47 is hot. Followed by more awesome "eh eh"s and the same part as in the beginning, only this time with different singers. One thing I don't like about this song is the repetitiveness. I know I've mentioned before that I find a lot of songs or parts in songs to be overly repetitive, lol. I can't help it. But regardless, this is a spectacular cover! I don't know who did the ending little laugh, but it's smexy.

Neorago (Piano Ver) / OH EM GEE. Piano + low notes + amazing vocals + pretty melody. I loved this the instant I heard it. The beginning is gorgeous. Farrah whisper-sang the "Neorago"s and Alice sang them echo-like right after her. Farrah sounds fantastic, and Alice blew my mind a little.

Honey at 0:16, she delivers her lines so well and sounds awesome. Kristy is a little pitchy, but I love her energy. mleshock has a really good voice, I can't think of a word to describe it. Not cute, but not mature. Somewhere in the middle, borderline sweet with a dash of mature? idk, it's lovely. 0:40 is lilmenchi, whose energy you can always hear.

I love Elsa on her two lines that begin with "Geu nooga nooga" at 0:48. I really like how she sounds on "eobdago." Farrah has a pretty little bit of vibrato going on and I adore it. Her 0:55 and 1:00 parts were awesome, I like her voice a lot. 1:03 and 1:15 are Shiio, her "jakkoo jakkoo" is great! She hit those notes wonderfully, and sounds so clear and lovely. 1:11 is Rose, she had a few slightly off notes but like her "ojik" even if it's a little off cause of her energy.

Ariah's "Oh oh only for you"s at 1:19 are magnificent. She sounds so good, her mature voice on those low notes is very pretty. Omni at 1:36, gosh ekfjnwefjknwjef, I love her singing. Elsa's "sarangin geol algo ijjiman" part from her 1:44 solo is super. I really like how she sounds on the "sarangin." 1:52 to 2:06 had some pitchiness, but Shiio, lilmenchi and Rose all did good.

Kristy sings with such umph! Her 2:07 solo was full with it, especially her "Geu nooga nooga"s. Gah, Alice sounds brilliant at 2:15! I love her "nandedo" and her vibrato on the 'o' in "ojik" is fabulous! I adore her. 2:24 is Honey, and the strength of her vocals really shines. Her "Nae gaseum sok" was so good. mleshock at 2:31, a little passive but still delightful. I like her "heulleodo" at 2:37.

2:59 is Omni, sounding amazing; her "naneun" is awesome. Ariah at 3:07, I can never get enough of her lovely voice. I like her "neoppoonirago." The only group parts in this are at 3:15, again with different groups, this time three. Group 1 (Kristy, Ariah`, omni, Alice) Group 2 (Honey, mleshock, Farrah) Group 3 (lilmenchi, Elsa, Shiio, Rose). All three blend wonderfully.

At 3:32 Omni has the whisper-sung "Neorago"s and Alice blows my mind some more on the echo-like sung "Neorago"s. I freaking love this. There is also a rock version of this song on the single, but this piano one wins for me, hands down.

Sorry I carried on so much about SnM and this group. I really enjoyed myself though, and I hope y'all check some of these songs out, cause they are so worth it. I should go to bed, cause it's 3am. And I have the next two days still to blog (heck yes). ILY'ALL~

SnM & Canta una

ValeriA’s ninth release features Tethys, the Titan goddess of fresh water and new beginnings. The talented singers of VA present to you a collection of inspiring, uplifting tunes that will get you through any day with a smile. Released December 5th, 2008.

Kirameki no Kanata he by ValeriA from their single Tethys / I did as Wingu indirectly requested (lol) and checked out this group from SnM. I'll admit that I purposely searched around for a non-English dub, since it's what I favor. And after downloading five or so songs I finally decided on this one.

Sometimes the different parts seemed to be timed oddly, like on the chorus; with the main melody plus the other lines dotted about. But I think it's just how the song goes, & I've never heard it before. I liked the verses a lot, all the girls sounded swell on their solos/lines. And the harmonies were good!

A tid bit of pitchiness now and then, but nothing super bad. The energy level was quite good overall, could have been a notch higher at times. I really like the melody of the chorus, and the low notes sound awesome. Sometimes one person might stick a little bit, but the blending worked out pretty well; when you get a part where they are all together.

With this dub, and just about all dubs that I like; even though you can find little things to pick at, it doesn't matter in the long run. Yes, dubbers often want advice so they can improve, and that's cool. But for me, as a listener; I enjoy listening, including all the little things. I'm on like my 10th run through of this, or something. And it grows on me more and more.

So I encourage practice and progress, but know that no matter what- someone out there enjoys listening to you; imperfections and all. Even though this isn't the best dub I've ever heard, it's still worth a listen. Props to the singers who participated.

I was going to write something about this yesterday, but I had some trouble with downloading; Wingu fixed it for me though! Canta una is WingedFlame's recently started blog! There isn't much up yet, but that's understandable since it's so new. Plus, life can get in the way of things like blogging sometimes.

"I'm going to try and update this as much as I can with: ValeriA releases (from Sekai no Melody), Other SnM releases (read: sub-projects), Random Groups/Duets (Not official releases, but collaborated and 'released'), Solos (Mixed properly), One-shots (Sung in one go, sometimes mixed, sometimes not) and Scraps (Epic fails), that feature me!(Or, well, I'll pimp out Sekai no Melody some more by posting epic wins on here too, with a review.)"

Mitsuki (Tarot Café) singing as Luchia
WingedFlame (ValeriA) singing as Hannon

Dolce Melodia (English Ver) / "an English translation of an Italian song that was made for a Japanese Anime" lol, I don't listen to many English dubs so it's a little different hearing it instead of some other language. The melody of this song is really pretty. I've listened to it over and over and I like this dub.

There was some minor pitchiness, but I think that makes the dub uniquely flawed and adds character. None of the off parts were that bad. The energy level was good and the solos were all delivered quite well.

I love the pre-chorus part at 0:45, the "towards the oriental skyline" and such. I like the melody of that part and the girls sound great together. It's the same part at 1:42, only it's spilt into solos; both of which are good. The chorus is super catchy! I liked the "as the sun rises" & "you gave me my life" parts.

Not a very long song, but definitely enjoyable~

Bah, I didn't get all that I wanted to done today. I'm still itching to blog about some more AK dubs that I've been listening to a lot. & I also have yet to check out Breaking Records and today I saw another group I wanted to look into as well. But after I finish work tomorrow, I have two whole days off. Fan-freaking-tastic! ILY'ALL. Nightnight

Pure Ambition (SnM)

I didn't think to mention in my previous entries that this wonderful group is currently accepting auditions! They have a whole page of info on the how-to & rules/guidelines. Auditions will be close May 1st, so don't miss out! The form for application is on the same page.

Sekai no Melody is "open to everyone and anyone" and their aim is to "keep a positive and friendly attitude." It's not all about talent, but dedication, and having fun. "We would rather work with a very nice girl who doesn’t have a good voice than a snobbish girl who has the voice of an angel. Attitude counts!"

The group holds scheduled auditions, a total of three times a year; likely to help keep things organized. "Anyone who fills out a form during these times will be accepted; it’s not a contest. There are a limited number of positions in each generation, but if you don’t get in then you will be placed into the Trainee group."

Hot off the heels of their late-summer release, PureAmbition is back and at it again with the ultra-hip, ultra-catchy “Possession” in addition to the feudal-era-sounding “Edo no Temari Uta II”. While the former showcases the beautiful harmonies and blends for which PA is famous, the second is an excellent survey of all the lovely voices gracing the talented group. Finally, a bonus song is included as a dedication to the former members of PureAmbition. Released November 23rd, 2008.

Bye Bye Mata ne by PureAmbition from their single Possession. This song is very special to me, because it was Maihacchi (Ishimura Maiha from Berryz Koubou) 's graduation song. I miss her ;w; I can't watch the vid of their final performance as the original eight without tearing up.

So when I saw this song yesterday while browsing I was like bfjkqfnkjfnkj!! And had to download it. This is a semi-old release, since it came out back in 2008. I don't know which girls or generations are singing, otherwise I'd put up a castlist for y'all as well. Eider and Sorachu were the mixers for this single; the former mixed Bye Bye Mata ne.

jgnjkgrkjgnkrjgn. I spit/type out garble like that when I just don't know what exclamation to use to express how much I like something. In this case; it's total love. This dub is Spectacular (yes, with a captial S). It's so so so pretty, sweet and lovely. The PA girls sound so epic, and the blending is superb- especially on the chorus.

I'm lame and can't think of anything to say. SPEECHLESS! lol, when does that ever happen? I'm always rambling about something. And this dub is so ramble-worthy. Magnificent. Brilliant. If you're a H!P fan (or a liker of listening to amazing things) you should download this.

I'm keeping my MP3 of this forever and ever. Along with all the others I have. I'll be 80 years old, sitting on the porch with an MP3player in my lap containing oodles of dubs & other Asian music. I'll be the hippest granny ever. And I'll play it for all my younger relatives, lol.

Spread the love; spread the lovely music. That's why I share stuff with y'all~

More S&M, maybe I'm an addict? (SnM)

! ! ! Ohmy! I was doing some more browsing around on Sekai no Melody before I got a tiny bit distracted by food & TV. But before that, I saw this song and started the download. I just sat back down and it was done, so I listened to it. HOMG!

"Not to be outdone by Kristallen’s “deliciously scandalous” release a month earlier, Violetta releases their own take on seduction. Instead of the bold refrains of Kristallen’s tracks, Violetta displays a sweeter, feminine side of love. Released March 11th, 2010."

Zen Me Ban (originally by S.H.E) from Violetta's single Sweet Seduction. The back-side of the single's cover says "featuring: elena, mandy, omni, serenity" so I am guessing that those four girls are the ones who participated in this two-track single.

For those of you familiar with Hana Kimi, a manga turned drama, Ella (the 'E' in S.H.E) is the main character of the Taiwanese version (I've seen it and the Japanese version). This song was used as the opening theme, and I've always thought it was really cute. So when I saw it on the track list I had a mini omgspazz moment and definitely had to upload it.

Annnnnnnnd. It's E P I C. I adore this dub!! The Violetta ladies did a spectacular job on this song, totally pwned it. There are one or two tiny moments of dischord where someone's note would be a little smidge off and therefore blend a little oddly with the others. But the complete awesomeness of this dub over-rules it. Smothers it.

I don't know who is who voice wise, but all of the girls are super talented. A big mix of pretty/cute/lovely/beautiful! They make a perfect group. I am definitely going to check out more of their stuff!! jhqbfjqhbefhjebgw. Y'all should too!! Give'em some love~ This is going right onto my Dubs playlist, cause I know I'll listen to it a lot.

Here is a printscreen of S.H.E from their Zen me Ban PV. Ella is such a dork, and Selina & Hebe are pretty. I love all of their voices. And I strongly suggest you check out Hana Kimi if you're into dramas. It's so funny!! Been a while since I watched either version. I'm caught up in the AMAZING Coffee Prince right now *fangirl squee*

ohemgee! *clicks another download* Gah, SnM is so addicting!

"Deliciously seductive, fiesty, and outright scandalous… this is Kristallen’s sixth spicy release, featuring the powerful yet sultry voices of their talented members. Includes gems like the dark song about schoolgirl prostitution (01) to the intricate harmonies of a ballad (04) to tackling a cover of the Queen of Sexy herself (Koda Kumi, 02). So come, spend a little time with us"

BUGGY ! ! ! BAKAPAI ! ! !

Yay, people I know! I saw some posts in the forum from Buggy earlier and realized that she was a part of SnM and got ridiculously happy. I'm sure I might know other people, I just haven't figured it out yet. Plus I don't know everyone by name either. lol, I kind of did this backwards, it would make more sense to cover this single then do the one I just did, but oh well.

Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru by Kristallen, from their single SCANDALOUS / I always find it funny that I didn't like this song to start with, but since then it's grown on me, and now I adore it. I think. . . .I'm in love. With S&M. I mean, SnM. Another flipping EPIC release. I love this dub. These girls did this AKB song justice, and beyond! So gooood.

That cherry slushie I was talking about eariler? (aka~ my brain) Well it just went into the blender with some sugar and spice added by Kristallen, who then deftly pushed the 'sexy turbo' button with a pink painted fingernail and a wink. They could sell the result to me with a smile and I'd drink it.

Dubbing-as-whole is epic, cause it's like a million super amazing free samples, of different flavored slushies that have been tossed into the blender with numerous ingredients, with different people pushing the right buttons to get it all mixed together. Then we get to have a taste. Plus, since there is a huge variety, it's never ending goodness. And if you can taste the sweat that went into their work, even better. Mix it with the tops off, ladies (& fellas). Y'all deserve props.

. . . . okay I feel extremely lame now. I kind of rambled. But yeah. Great release. & Dubbing rules.

Share with me!! (SnM)

Jess. ILU. kighjweffhejkfejkf ! Yuh, I usually stick to YouTube, cause it's how I discovered dubbing. But since then I've stumbled upon YoProject (thanks to Buggy) and it's more forum based. I adore downloading MP3s and everything doesn't need to be YT. I am so excited to learn of Sekai no Melody and Kaori Basket. How did I not know of these?!?

We'll start things off with SnM (as it's often shortened too)~ Their name is Japanese for “The World’s Melody”, which "describes precisely the focus of our goal." They have a little 'About Us' type of page that you can check out if interested. It actually says it all;

"Sekai no Melody is a long-running (est. December 2004) multilingual singing organization featuring people of all languages, ranges, abilities, skills, and interest. We not only sing Japanese, but also English, Korean, Spanish, French, Chinese, and many more! Simply speaking, Sekai no Melody is an interesting take on the regular same-old, same-old internet Jpop groups – we cover many genres and styles, so there is always something for everyone!"

I admit that I'm too lazy to sit here and count all of their members, since a number isn't listed. So let's just say they have a lot. Here is there Member page, in case you're wondering. There are six groups listed there; TarotCafe, Paratoile, Kristallen, ValeriA, Violetta, & PureAmbition.

If you head over to their Discography page, it's goodies galore! *grabby hands* I wanna download them alllll~ And also, there are more groups listed! Like Shuffle Groups & their SOLO! Project. But also; Language Teams, English! Project, Morning Melody, Sailor Melody, Anime! Project, Broadway! Project, BOYSTYLE! Project, & SNM48. *mini brain meltdown* So much I wanna check out ;w;

Anyways! They also have their own forum! And that is where I got this first dub from! I was poking about in there and stumbled upon SNM48's release of Aitakatta. I downloaded it and have been listening to it on repeat for a while now. Here is the thread on it, including the download link!

Cast list
Itano Tomomi - Kyttyee / Kojima Haruna - Sorachu
Maeda Atsuko - Rosie / Minegishi Minami - Miri
Nakanishi Rina - NekoYukai / Narita Risa - YamiRin
Ohe Tomomi - Solaire / Oshima Mai - Koichiyo
Shinoda Mariko - Elsa / Takahashi Minami - Alice
Tojima Hana - ayaka / Akimoto Sayaka - Umi
Kasai Tomomi - Maya / Kobayashi Kana - Kristy
Matsubara Natsumi - Shubi / Miyazawa Sae - Katie
Noro Kayo - Aqua / Oshima Yuko - kiko
Ono Erena - Zemire / Umeda Ayaka - lilmenchi

These names don't really mean much to me right now, since I don't think I know anyone. Well I know a Maya, but I don't know if it's the same girl. And I think I sort of know lilmenchi from YT. But regardless, I think they all deserved to be listed!!

jkbgeswjkgnjkgnrjkgn ! ! ! I LOVE this dub. Aitakatta is among my favorite AKB songs and I don't think I've ever heard a dub of it. These gals did flipping amazing! This song is such a group song, I don't think there are any solos; just a bunch of little groups and then the whole group & stuff. And this group of lovely singers did a fabulous job on the blending!!!

I can sort of hear someone on the lower harmonies aside from the group, but not in a stick-out way, just noticable. The higher-ish notes in the chorus were great! All of the lines were delivered very well, and the energy is awesome!! This dub is fan-freaking-tastic. If this were uploaded on the old YT I'd totally break the rating-thingy by giving them a kajillion stars~

OH! I almost forgot. I also uploaded Nanchatte Renai by PureAmbition. I saw it in the latest entry on SnM's homepage and couldn't resist, since I like this song a lot.

"PureAmbition’s latest release once again takes us down memory lane in a moving musical memento of a love story. From scorned love, to eternal love, this aptly-named release displays all the colours of love. Released March 17th, 2010."

01. Nanchatte Renai
02. Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattan Darou
03. Tell Me Your Wish
04. Love Forever

Another superb dub!! I listened to this on repeat before and after listening to Aitakatta, lol. Many very lovely voices in this, and all the girls sang wonderfully. I really really like this, and I can't wait to listen to more stuff from SnM! Again, ILU Jess. Thanks for sending more amazing stuff my way.
