Yoku Interview~

My job is just kicking my ass lately. It's not school, but it takes up just as much of my time, more often than not. We should be slowing down again in a little while though, since Autumn isn't a busy season for us. But that's my main reason for slow blogging. Without further rambling, let's jump right into this;

Yay another interview! lol. I promise I'll try and get to the million of things I need to- it's just one thing at a time. As I've been saying, I'm trying to sort of 'SAY HELLO! HELLO!' to some of the smaller dubbing groups out there, and when I spotted Yoku project's name on my subs list, I decided to get ahold of the nice gal who runs it; Liz / Lizzie.

I feel a little bad that this is such a simple interview- it's usually more interesting on a back-and-forth basis over messenger; But! I am happy to have gotten my questions answered and I hope all y'all give the project a go~

AYA: Your YT channel lists your join date as May 4th and that's the day you opened your first set of auditions. So in October y'all will have been active for a little over 6 months! What did you have in mind when you created Yoku? Did you have a game plan? Have things gone smoothly so far?

LIZ: Well, on the day I created YokuProject, I was listening to a lot of groupdubs and you see, I really admire projects like MilkyStar, because their members harmonize so great- even if there are many people to mix, it still sounds very professional.

So, I wanted to give it a try, although I already had a project with a friend once and it became inactive. But I just was so motivated to build my own project. Sadly, we have a few graduations these days, but everything else is going quite fine.

AYA: How do you decide what songs to dub? Do you poll the members, talk it out with them, or choose yourself?

LIZ: I honestly don't have a constant method how to choose the songs. For the newest Singles I polled the members, but I decided the older ones. Also, the °Amai-Koubou Single poll was just for the Berryz Side.

AYA: I know you're the leader of Yoku- are there any subleaders? Or people who don't necessarily hold the title, but help you out a lot?

LIZ: There aren't any subleaders, because I don't think that there's so much to do yet. But of course there are people who offer their help, which means a lot to me.

AYA: What would you say is the goal of your project; Are you set on making progress as a group, or is your main goal to just have fun? Somewhere inbetween?

LIZ: I wish that everyone continues progressing and people notice that. So, having fun, being energetic, being a high quality project and maybe growing as a project family; these are my goals. Surely, the important thing is to stay active, but I guess we're okay with that right now.

AYA: Anything you'd like to add that I haven't directed in a question, lol?

LIZ: Well, I have to admit that I'm a bit scared to let the project grow through the auditions, because more people mean more risk for inactivity and a lot more work. That's why I'll maybe need a subleader soon~

AYA: Any questions for me?

LIZ: Actually, yes ^^ How did you become so interested in other people's voices? I mean, I'm interested in my members and my friends voices too, but not in every dubbers voice.

AYA: Good question LOL. I've always been interested in music, I'm the weird girl who sings to herself as she walks through the hall at school, work, the mall or the freaking bathroom. Getting into Asian music was my road to the world of dubbing. I suppose I love the idea of it!! That singers of all ages go out and get whatever equipment they can, in order to sing for the pure pleasure and fun of it. That it brings people together, to share their voices and music-related talents.

That people take the time to learn how to mix, in some ways learning more about the technical aspect of music than a lot of people ever consider. And many of them are pretty young! Plus running a project / group (or working solo) is like a crash course in business management (without the money part, of course)- dealing with other people, organizing and planning, being the boss when you need to, finding and acknowledging what your resources are and making do with what you can, and sometimes cleverly coming up with a new approach to something!

LOL I'm rambling. I guess it's many things. You can learn a lot, meet a lot of people, and have a hell of a good time. There is the fun side, where people can interact with others that have similar interests. Just rock out, sing out; laugh, live, love and learn through the beauty of music. And at the same time, people strive to get better. To work on this or that, to improve. So it's very meaningful.

It also bridges gaps across the world, connecting people of different countries and languages! I enjoy looking in on -and sometimes taking part in- the whole experience. Even if I am a little on the side lines, a girl jotting down her thoughts, occasionally pushing up her glasses. Laughing her ass off, and getting over emotional & crying sometimes *ahem* Or just bopping her head and totally jammin' out!

I think everyone could use a little encouragement now and then. Someone to say "HEY I LIKE HOW YOU SOUND" or even a "GOOD JOB!" or a bit of friendly advice. At first I was just commenting on videos, saying what I liked. But then it turned into this blog over time, and I have a blast being up to my ears in fantastic dubs/covers, knowing that people worked their asses off & poured their heart and LOLs into something that I am listening to. It's special. It's fun. It's music.

AND SO YEAH I'm going to shut up now. And share with you Yoku's latest;

Natsuyaki Miyabi - Coco (CocoNStorm)

Concerts+

Because all of these projects have only come out with about one track since I last blogged about concerts, I decided I'd listen to all of them. Again, if I'm missing a concert feel free to shoot me a message about it and I'll be more than happy to start including it! I'd also like to take a moment to be...MP3 greedy. I know, I'm so bad!!

But I just love dubs so much that I wanna listen to'em all the time, without waiting for YT to be nice to me. Just *click* and TADA. My list is rather short this time, but I haven't really taken stock of what I want. I would LOVE to have an MP3 of MottoImouto's Summer Shuffle 2010! Part One (GuruGuru JUMP! & Tane), as well as Onna Be's two latest groupdubs (Sprinter & Perfect Girls).

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to please little ol' me~

Totally Up! Project
2010 Summer

Kamei Eri: Katie & Serenyty
Mitsui Aika: Yumiko
Kumai Yurina: Hinaki
Okai Chisato: Ameimi

Oujisama to Yuki no Yoru [Track 10] / Ohmygosh, I haven't watched any concert performances by the new Tanpopo, so this is a treat for me! Wow, I checked out the MP3 and it doesn't have any of the wotas and other sounds. I get that they're there in the dub cause it's a concert, but the sound is so much better on the MP3! You can really hear the girls, so I suggest that y'all give it a listen. You don't need to download if you don't want to, cause it's on box!

To prevent me from rambling on, I'm going to pick out my favorite solo by each girl. Starting with Hinaki; her 0:53 "ofuro ni hairou to" is short but splendid! Many of the solos in this song aren't very long, so there isn't always lots to say about them but that doesn't make them any less marvelous. Hinaki sounds very sweet on all of her lines! I like the "shitara" at 0:56 too, how the word is split up and sang slowly.

I don't know Katie and Serenyty apart, I can tell the difference between their voices, but I don't know who is who. The wonderful beginning solo ("TEREBI wo mitetara") and the lovely solo at 2:09 ("oujisama mitai na hito tte") are by faves from the two. Ameimi is sooooo cute!! I like all of her solos, like the short little "BAITO" at 0:59. My fave from her is tough- I like her at 1:18 and also at 5:53ish.

What I like most by Yumiko is actually really short; her "dakedo" at 1:23 is pretty! My first thought when hearing her was that she sounds kind of quiet / muffled. In the MP3 you can hear her much better though! I also like her 2:36 solo. The group lines in this are super lovely and sound terrific overall! The girls did a real nice job on this song~

Kireina Project Aloha!
~Summer~ 2010 Concert

Yajima Maimi: Saya (animefreakXDD)
Umeda Erika: Juri (Juwibean)
Nakajima Saki: Rei (RaReiRoo)
Suzuki Airi: Kimiko (KimiOkami)
Okai Chisato: Lily (therealallisons)
Hagiwara Mai: Okie (DivaDagger)

Shiritsu Kyougaku [Track 3] / The tracks in this KireinaPro's concert seem to be short but sweet, with none of them being over 2 minutes. But even with the length, all of the girls get a chance to sing- which makes me happy. Rei starts the song off and just blows your mind with her extreme kawaiiness. I adore her singing and think she did a smashing job!

0:29 is Juri, who sounds very pretty, and cute too! She also sings with emotion, as all of the girls do! That's it for the longer solos; following are Kimiko, Saya and Okie, they may not sing long but they certainly sing well and sound fabulous! Ohmy, I love the girls altogether on the chorus, especially the first line, "Anata wa donna kakkou shite kuru no" ~ but all of the group part is fantastic, and so is the dub!

Yoku Project Concert 2010
Summer ~*Ai wo misete kudasai*~

Tsugunaga Momoko: Mai (dblingchiu)
Natsuyaki Miyabi: Lizzie (Liz9419)
Suzuki Airi: Belly (Rasubelly)

Nakimushi Shounen [Track 9] / Whoa, is that the instrumental that sounds weird? Whatever it is, the vocals totally take your attention away from it almost instantly! The chorus of this song is so freaking catchy, I love how this trio sounds on it in the beginning. I really like them on "kono basho wo tobikoete ikou" ~

I love Belly's mature sound so much, she's super lovey and delivers wonderfully! Liz totally rocks her solos and sounds sensational! Mai is so cuuuute! She's much more than cute, but that's the first thing I think of when I hear her, cause really- she's adorable!! She sings terrifically in this. All of the girls have a moment of odd timing in the second verse, but it's no biggie.

For some reason, my head likes to mix up Lizzie and another dubber with a somewhat similar sound. But with this other person I often think "more energy" and so sometimes I make a mental note of that before I hear Liz, then I realize I'm confusing people, lol. Liz has got great energy! Mai has a more gentle energy, because of her cute yet quietish singing. It's more noticeable at different times.

Wow, this is a Momo & Miyabi dominated song, which is surprising 'cause Buono is usually pretty fair or if there is anyone with a few more lines it's Airi. But Belly has 4 solos while Mai and Liz has 7 each! I try and talk about cast members as evenly as possible, but it can also depend on line division- Belly doesn't have as much to comment on, but she did a swell job!! And all of the girls contributed to the delightful chorus!

PA-FE Kyuuto! 2010
KIRAMEKI SweetZ
Summer Concert

Cast: Awai, Aiko, Ai

Pira! Otome No Negai [Track 6] / CClyrics / Whenever I think of this song, the duet by Kohaku and Himawari comes to mind. Sadly the video is no longer up, but AHA HA HA I have the MP3 that I downloaded ages ago. I love being able to listen to stuff I like, even if something happens to it. I can pop the MP3 on my box account if anyone is interested, just let me know! But on to this dub!

"Yes we decided to sing the crazy tongue twister song" and a tongue twister it is indeed! With those "PARAPIRAPORAPORAPPO" and "PIRAPPOPPOPPO" parts. But they're really fun!! Geesh what a spectacular job this trio of tremendous gals did! The whole beginning part is awesome and spot on, with oodles of emotion and good pronunciation!

0:37 is Awai! I always have good things to say about her- she's fantastic as ever in this! Cute + pretty + & peppy! I wish the volume of solos was a little louder; it'd be nice to hear the girls more. 0:50 is Aiko with her strong and lovely vocals, followed by the fun & epic "WO AH OH..." by all three. 0:57 is Ai, who is utterly adorable. I like her "Setsunakute"

More solos- Aw (1:04) & Ak (1:11). And then it's another round of...would it be considered the chorus? lol idk. The tongue twister followed by a short solo, part of the song. The first time (0:23) Ak & Ar had the solos, and this time (1:20) Ak & Aw have take turns on them. I'm going to skip over the magnificent solos and the kickbutt "PARAPIRA..." part from 1:33 to 2:57, and jump into the solos thereafter;

YAY we get to hear the girls sing the one of the main parts individually! I have to say that I like Airu the most. The melody is higher, lower, higher, lower- Airu really sounds great singing both and delivers well! That's not to say I don't like the other girls; Awai and Aiko both sound excellent! As listeners, we all have different things that catch our attention, eh? The rest of the dub is mainly more group-sung tongue twisters, with a few solos here and there. I really enjoyed this!!

*EDIT: it was Ai, not Airu. I got confused because the CClyrics said it was Airu, and it was not noted anywhere in the drop-down section that Ai was covering. So without such a note, I put two and two together, and figured it was Airu in both the castlist and lyrics, simply shortened to Ai in the cast. Thanks to Airu for setting me straight!

Hana Project

MORNING MUSUME: Sayuri, Ajisai, Kanna
Suiren, Kisagi, Kiku, Aoi, Kuchinashi, Chuurippu

BERRYZ KOBOU: Himawari, Kiri, Kikyo,
Lilmenchi, Rina, Nadeshiko, Asagao

C-UTE: Tsubaki, Ibara, Hinageshi
Chuurippu, Kuchinashi, Asagao, Rina

Souda! We're Alive [Track 32] / I've never been a big fan of this song. So even though the Hana girls sound amazing, this dub doesn't float my boat a ton. I do like parts of the song, and love the emotion that it's all sung with. 0:29 is fun, and 2:00 & 2:38 are pretty. The solos are outstanding, the group parts beautiful yet packed with punch, and overall this turned out awesome!

Poll + Concerts

YAY POLL TIME! Blabodu went for so long without one because I fail at thinking things up sometimes, lol. But with it being summer and quite a few concerts going on, I randomly decided to make a poll about them! Thank you so so much to the 75 people who took the time to click!!

As you can see from the results, about 57% are participating in only one or two concerts. I'm sure the amount of free time each person have varies, depending on different factors; other dubbing related stuff, work, school stuff over the summer, or perhaps other plans. But even so; about 22% said they are participating in 3-4 concerts- I'll bet they are busy bees!

12 of the 75 choose the "No" option, probably cause they A) aren't in a project that is doing a summer concert B) don't have the time, or C) because they chose not to. With the last choice I didn't think there would be much of a percentage, because 5 is quite a few concerts! Only 3 people selected it when voting. Props to them for taking on such a load!

I think if I didn't blog but dubbed instead, I would probably be the first option; my job would prevent me from doing more than that. Before summer started I was forewarned by a dubber that the season would probably be busy, with a lot of people free from school and concerts starting up. I am and have been very behind, but I chug along like a happy little steam boat. I'm hoping for some time off in October or November though~

And while we're on the subject...

I am going to try and stay on top of concert releases. I haven't listened to many of these, a few here and there, but I'll try to in my own time. I'd mostly like to acknowledge that I've been seeing them released and to share them all with y'all! It'll be the same set up as last time. If I don't list a concert you're in and you'd like me to add it to this list, I'm more than happy to. You only need to let me know!

Something that crossed my mind last month or something; have any of you (project / concert leaders) thought of putting the MP3s of your concert once it's completed into a zip file for download? I would definitely be willing to give those a shot, even with my sometimes lame internet, lol. If not, even simple individual MP3s make me ridiculously happy~

2010 Concerts

I don't have enough time before bed to really do any actual writing. I need to make sure I don't stay up too late since, sadly, this is the last day of my layoff and I go back to work tomorrow. Something that I've been wanting to do, but haven't gotten around to, is making a sort of status update entry about the currently ongoing concerts.

The video displayed for each concert will be the latest track released. Then all the tracks will be listed in order after that- to lessen confusion I'll bold the last track's number as an reminder. Not too long ago I did an entry about the first 20 tracks of HanaPro's concert; you can find that here. I've written about a few other concerts semi-recently;

Milky Star : [x]

Kireina Project : [x]

Yoku Project : [x]

Hopefully I didn't mix up any of the links in this, cause they're all over the place. If I did, feel free to tell me. I was going to include download links in this, for those that provided them. But that's more work and I need to get this done. I'm sorry if I missed your project's concert. I surfed through all 80+ of my subs and this is what I found. You can always send the info my way~

Kiss x3

I've been such a fail blogger lately. I'm just too tired or busy. But after tomorrow I have two days off!! Thanks for sticking with me y'all. I will get to everything eventually. At the moment I'm just hot and sleepy, a bad combination. But I'll try and get some stuff done. My focus right now is requests, in the order that I recieved them (or as close as I can get)~

Tsugunaga Momoko: Mai (dblingchiu)
Natsuyaki Miyabi: Lizzie (Liz9419)
Suzuki Airi: Belly (Rasubelly)

Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! by Bûmu (Yoku Project) / Getting right into things; Bellychan! it's been a while since I heard her, or it feels like it at least. She starts things off wonderfully, and that's just the beginning; she sounds awesome throughout the dub! Liz, ohmy she's really improved. She was never bad, but she's gotten better- like, her lines are more flowly with less iffy notes, great energy and a fab delivery. Then there is the cutecute Mai, I adore the melody of the pre-chorus and she's darling on it.

This song is cute but kind of blah for a dub choice. The chorus is high and if the notes aren't in your range (*raises hand*) there is sometimes straining or pitchiness. And I don't only mean this particular dub, because I've heard this song dubbed quite a bit and the chorus turns out iffy a lot of the time. Also, when you strain your voice to hit the notes, it often makes it sound like there is a lack of energy or volume. Plus I think the melody of the chorus is easy to be pitchy on.

The girls did a nice job on the chorus overall, a little strain by all of them at some point, but the group parts are nice. lol, y'all don't want to even hear me trying to sing this, unless I brought it way down so I could sing it without sounding pathetic. Anyways! This trio of adorable gals sound fantastic on their solos in the verses & pre-chorus. And I've always really like the "A.i.shi.te.ru / Da.ki.shi.me.te" parts and they're terrific in this! My fave parts are the verses, but the overall sound of this dub is really nice.

KISU

YokuProject Concert 2010 Summer
~*Ai wo misete kudasai*~

Suzuki Airi: Coco (CocoNStorm)
Okai Chisato: Eun mi (eunmijjang)
Hagiwara Mai: Lizzie (Liz9419)

First Kiss by °Amai-Koubou (YokuProject) / This is the song that never ends dies, yes it goes lives on and on my friends. If I kept track of how many times I've heard this song dubbed, it would probably total more than any other song. Not that it's a bad song (it's freaking catchy), but sometimes I see and I'm like; WHAT AGAIN? I always liked this version cause it had Chisato, but disliked it cause it had Mai, lol. Anyways, to the dub~

Holyfritters, Coco pwns Airi's part!! *o* She sounds magnificent! Just the right amount of energy and emotion, plus a smooth and swell delivery. I adore her lines. Wow, Eun Mi again so soon? lol. I have the same thing to say; more energy! You can hear her trying in this song though- like at at 1:00, on her "kawatta" at 1:07 and other times too. I give her props for effort, goodness knows energy isn't as easy as pie sometimes. But hearing her with more energy would be like cherry vanilla cake on my birthday; I want it badly, and it would make me deliriously happy.

Coco is a tiny bit pitchy a few times, but not often. Her 1:51 note is fantastic!! And even though her other high notes in the solo are kind of off, I think she did a good job on them overall. Lizzie may not make a great Mai, but who cares?! I'd rather have her as her, singing whatever part in whatever song - then have her restrict herself only to parts by people she does suit. Her 2:07 is fabulous!! She really sings with umph! and I love that about her, as well as her mature sound.

The group parts are also wonderful, though there aren't tons in this song. This is a great part of Yoku's concert, I think it turned out really well overall, and I enjoyed listening. As for the concert, I haven't paid it oodles of attention (there are a lot of concerts right now *shot*), so just for fun and sharing, here are links to the previous five parts!

Misc Project Releases [Y] Part 1

Murakami Megumi - Lucy (CherryxJuice)
Suzuki Airi - Lucy *cover
Umeda Erika - Hanni (HanniLoreee)
Arihara Kanna - Natsumi (Konatalzumi124)
Nakajima Saki - Kurichii (KuriDesu27)
Yajima Maimi - Belly (Rasubelly)
Okai Chisato - Eun Mi (eunmijjang)
Hagiwara Mai - Lizzie (Liz9419)

Massara Blue Jeans by °Amai-Koubou / Yoku Project's most recent release is Lady Panther, but I'm not a big fan of that song. So I shall link you, but not talk about it. Now on to this dub; the volumes are a little iffy - the group parts too loud and the general volume a bit loud. I had to turn it down from the start. The loudness in group parts caused some fuzziness.

Belly (lovely as ever), Hanni (sweet voice, good job on Erika's line) and Lucy (I really like her "waratte LET'S GO") all did wonderfully on their solos in the first verse! On the Ha/Na duet at 0:34ish there is discord; one or both of them are kind of pitchy which throws off the blending of the duet. The next duet by Be/Eu is fabulous! I love how the "kaketara" sounds, the blending is awesome. But, though it's hard to tell, I think one girl is heard a little more than the other.

0:40ish is Ku/Li, and I picked out Kuri's voice right away. I don't know how to explain the way she sounds, it's very different and a little bit funky / pitchy. She dominates the duet, it's hard to hear Liz. lol, the last duet is Lu/Lu, Lucy with herself and she's swell. The "massara pin no BURUU JIINZU" (and similar lyrics) in this dub are great, but again the volume and fuzziness makes me wince.

0:51ish is Natsumi, her solo is short but she sounds splendid! Belly and Lucy both do good on their parts, but many of the high notes in the chorus are iffy. The "mechakucha" etc & "love me do" parts turned out pretty cool. Listening to the second chorus, it almost sounds like Lucy makes her voice sound different when singing as Airi and Megumi. It's not bad, but I'm not one much for vocal imitation. She sounds marvelous, so do Belly and Hanni.

The duets the second time are all pretty nice, this Ha/Na duet sounding much better. Belly's solo at 2:55 is terrific, her high notes are still a little strained, and her timing at 3:10 is really off. Overall the things that could use work are the fuzziness (whether due to volumes or something else) and pitching. The energy level is good and all these gals did a nice job.

Back Track [Misc Project Releases]

Ishikawa Rika: Saya (animefreakXDD)
Miyoshi Erika: Malice (maliciousdevice)
Okada Yui: Ami (amiswami2)

*KireinaProject ~ Kacchoiize! JAPAN by Ajisai / The girls sound super sweet together, but overall and individually the energy level of this dub sounds a bit on the low side. But! Part of it may stem from the fact that this trio is made up of higher / quite-sounding voices; I mean, they all are real cute but, er...soft spoken? idk how to describe it.

They just don't have naturally loud volumes, so this dub comes across as being low on energy. I think it's partially subtle in this case, though they could have used a bit more umph! Anyways, I actually like this quite a bit. Aside from what I just rambled on about, everything else seems to have turned out wonderfully! (don't ask Aya for mixing opinions LOL). Nice solos & group-parts galore. Splendid job.

Yuuka -- Risa / Saki -- Nina
Ayaka -- Yuri / Kanon -- Belly
[Nina as temporary cover for Jelli-chan]

*ChARmSproject ~ Yume Miru 15sai by Sakura Dreams / Gosh I love this song, so freaking catchy. There are a handful of off notes in this but nothing really jumps out at you. Nina has some real pretty notes, Risa and Yuri are cute, and Belly is strong & fabulous. I really like how the chorus sounds; all of the group parts in fact! I wasn't sure at first, but it was because I didn't have the volume up enough - I turned it up and was like, wow! These four sound fantastic as a group, and their solos are marvelous as well.

Singers: (In Order of Hearance)
Tsuina, Sootie, Asuka, Pichi, Moni

*KisetsuProject ~ Ryuusei Boy by Aki Koubou / As Sootie mentioned, the volumes and blending could be better, but the girls sound marvelous overall. Though some people could have used a bit more umph / strength to their solos. I adore that the vid shows who is singing when, even if it's not always. And the video sort of stops and goes a lot, which is odd. Aside from some pitchiness, I hear a lot of lovely voices.

The blending isn't really there; sometimes people aren't singing together, or it's the volumes, or a bit of discord. This dub isn't top notch, but I give'em all props for giving it a go; other than a few minor things, it turned out fairly well. Also there is a good level of energy in this, which is always a plus and makes dubbers more fun to listen to. One thing about following projects, is that you can hear as they improve along the way. So I look forward to hearing more from Kisetsu.

Takahashi Ai - Karri (cover)
Niigaki Risa - Natsumi (cover)
Tanaka Reina - Hanna (HannaPulla)
Kamei Eri - Karri (LittleKarri)
Michishige Sayumi - Mai (dblingchiu)
Kusumi Koharu - Kurichii (KuriDesu27)
Mitsui Aika - Natsumi (Konatalzumi124)
JunJun - Lizzie (Liz9419)
LinLin - Jessie (yessenia12)

*Yoku Project ~ Nanchatte Renai by Night Musume / The timing of some of the lines is a little off, but overall this is pretty cool. I adore the rap, Natsumi rocked it! Ohemgee, Mai is SO cute. Karri sings as two girls in this giving her the most lines and she does a terrific job on lead vocals. To keep this brief, I'm trying not to break this down too much. lol. It's hard. All of the girls sound wonderful, I especially like the group parts. I enjoyed listening to this group on this song (since we all know how much I like it)~

THE SAYONARA NO HOUKAGO

(YOU GET THE TITTLE ? GOOD) *POOF* THE MAGICAL CHIYO HAS RETURNED. I actually have exams at the moment but IMO, who cares. This is good for my English sooo~

THE Bigaku by Nozo / I swear I’ve seen the name NozomiAi somewhere before… but I have NO IDEA where. I’m dumb like that so shh~ On to the dub! Aww! Nozo has a really soft voice, yet good to hear! But the vocals should have been mixed in a little more quiet, and sometimes the timing is slightly off. Nozo also has a few lyrics flubs, but those can be easily fixed with more practice!~

At 0:24 her "mittomonai" sounds really good! I don’t know, but those small details sound really good! I watch those details too much at times~ I also liked her "otoko" at 0:30. Well, what can I say? I like the small parts xD I’ve sung this song before too, so I know which parts need more energy and such & 0:58 is one of the parts where you have to SCREAM IT OUT. So to say it Aya’s way, she needed a little more umph!

Her "koisuru"s throughout the whole song sound wonderful!~ Her energy level is right about where it should be for this song, but it's actually the loudness of her voice is mixed in + her bad microphone that makes it less... good ? 1:32 -- I NEVER KNEW WHAT AYAYA ALWAYS SAID AT THAT PART. AND NOW I DO, YAY. (Hey com'on baby baby, you're soo ahh--) YATTA!~

I loved her OI!'s! They were soo energetic! Her "motto--!" should've had more umph, but I wanna blame it the mic so ;3 I loved how Nozo held her note at 2:00! It was soo pretty!~ And she ends her solo (2:30) with SUCH A CUTE "WAOH!" I wanna thank Nozo! Thanks to her, I will be singing this in SakuranboDubs' solo event. Sankyuuu!~

Sayonara no LOVE SONG by Ila [ILA1080] / AWWWWW DAMN THIS BRINGS BACK SOOO MANY MEMORIES. 1st, this was one of the first solos I saw of Airinko ;3; it actually made me cry~ 2nd, ILA! I used to be in a project with her where she sung Megumi and I sung Maimi. It's been quite a while since then, and I haven't catched up with her/listened to her, so I'm very excited!

WOW. THE FIRST NOTE IS SPOT ON ALL THE WAY. It sounds like she's still using the same mic though LOL. But I remember her voice "scratching" quite a bit, and her being out of breath. BUT NOW... WOW. She does have something Airi-like in her first line especially.

I LOVE the feeling she puts into her singing. I love her "kansha shite imasu" @ 1:10 and actually all the lines that follow~ TO THE CHORUS. You can really hear the feeling throughout the whole chorus--- ahh, so nice ;3; Her "LOVE SONG" at 1:40 sounds beautiful!

There is a little lyric flub @ 2:16. But WE WILL PRETEND WE HAVEN'T HEARD THAT. WHAT LYRIC FLUB? THERE WAS A LYRIC FLUB? WHAT'S A LYRIC FLUB? ^o^ Her "dea" (2:21) sounds soo pretty! I remember she used to didn't go high with her voice because it would crack, but she sounds awesome now! AWESOME HIGH NOTE (2:47) AND HER CUTENESS TAKES OVER!~

Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago by Karri (YokuProject) / YA'KNOW, when I got to choose which songs / dubs I would review, I picked random ones...I HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS SUNG BY KARRI. GOD LOL. She's in the same pro as me ~ (Referring to EienTeam)

AH WELL...Mixing wise, I think Karri's voice should be lowered down a bit. But it's ok~ I also think reverb would be better!~ AWW!~ SHE SOUNDS SOO CUTE YET MATURE AT THE SAME TIME. And she has a little vibrato, which sounds awesome on this song. I loves how she goes high with her voice @ 0:28. SHE SOUNDS SOOO DAAAAAMNNN PRETTTY. Sorry people, that's how I will continue reviewing xD

Starting from 0:40, it really sounds like Karri is using her cuteness factor, I must say it does work xD. 0:58-1:18 is my favourite part of the song. For some reason, I really like the "kara" at 1:06. She goes a little softer on that part, and it really suits the song (TYPO : I wanted to write 'fits' but then I changed my mind and I wanted to write 'suits' ~ and ended up writing fuits ;D)

Her "wa" on 1:18 sounds amazing! She goes (just like Eri) a little bit down with her voice on that part~ I love her high notes at 1:20 and 1:30. They sounds lovely!~ Sorry that Karri's review is a little bit shorter, but since the song itself was shorter I had to xD

THAT'S IT FOR NOW.

I'LL BEH BACK.

Yoku's latest

Tsugunaga Momoko - Mai (dblingchiu)
Natsuyaki Miyabi - me (Liz9419)
Suzuki Airi - Belly (Rasubelly)

co.no.mi.chi by Bûmu / I'm going to jump right into things! The beginning "Kono michi aruiteku yo" is nice, they tackled the high notes on "mo" and "awaseta toki" pretty well too. There is some slight pitchiness througout the dub, and their voices aren't always lined up when singing together. But I know this isn't a super easy song to sing, and probably not easy to mix either. I am impressed with how they did on the high notes, all three gals managed them with getting way too soft or going way off key. *EDIT* lol, in my tiredness, I mixed up the names, so sorry if this part of the entry flows funky.

I like the chorus a lot more than the verses, but the latter is the only time you get to hear solos. I'm not super familiar with Liz's singing (0:55), but I like her mature voice a lot. Her and Belly seem to be quite similar in tone and range. She delivers her lines well. Gah, Mai is mega kawaii (0:47)!! I know I've said it before, but she is! I last heard her in a Momusu dub, and I remember fangirling about her cuteness then too, lol. Bellychan! I'm most familiar with her (0:39), and I adore her to pieces!

I really like Belly as Airi, she's more mature than the role, but I think she does a really good job on her part, and as I watch her voice come out of Airi's mouth, it just works. The same with Mai and Liz, I really like both of them as their girls too. Oh I love the solos starting at 2:42! First is Belly, sounding fantastic! Mai is adorable, though a little off on her "mo" - and Liz is last but most certainly not least. Her "awaseta toki" is awesome! As I mentioned at the start; some minor timing and pitching issues, but the high notes are fantastic and the blending is lovely.

Takahashi Ai - Momo (MomoxMochi)
Niigaki Risa - Reiichel (MewRachel)
Tanaka Reina - Hanna (HannaPulla)
Kamei Eri - Karri (LittleKarri)
Michishige Sayumi - Mai (dblingchiu)
Kusumi Koharu - Kurichii (KuriDesu27)
Mitsui Aika - Natsumi (Konatalzumi124)
JunJun - me (Liz9419)
LinLin - Jessie (yessenia12)

Shouganai Yume Oibito by Night Musume / Pwsh, it's been a bit since I listened to Momo, but if this is her sick, then she's really good normally!! I'll have to pay attention for when she recovers, so I can hear her then. I think she did swell on all her solos! It sounds like it's a bit tricky to sing parts of this song on beat; a handful of lines were a bit iffy timing wise, but nothing really stuck out. The majority of the duets in this turned out nicely.

I love love Reiichel's voice!! It's beautiful. So smooth and mature. Her first solo is at 0:45 and it made me go; Wah?! And listen to it a few more times. So lovely. Karri's following solo at 0:53 is quite marvelous as well, not very long, but good! Oh, I like the Liz/Jes duet at 1:01 - they sound great together! They kind of waver between blending and slight dischord on the "de iru no ne" but I still like it.

1:28, I think I could pick out Hanna's voice in any dub. She has a very unique voice and sounds cute, but she also has a....unique way of singing? I don't know how to put it. She definitely has good energy and emotion. Oh wow, I love the Liz/Rei at 2:02!! Their blending is fantastic! Following is another amazingly lovely solo by Reiichel (2:09), before there's more awesome blending!! This time it's Kar/Jes, and I love it. Hana's following solo is actually really good!

Mai's "shouganai yume oibito" at 3:16 is crazy darling!! After Momo's 3:41 solo, which is wonderful, it's all chorus until the end. I know I didn't mention Natsumi or Kurichii, but neither had any solos and hardly any duets, except for at 2:38. But they contributed to other group parts and helped make this dub what it is overall. Nice job by everyone~

Can't. Live. Without. You.

Natsuyaki Miyabi - Hana (KatieWoW123)
Sugaya Risako - Lucy (CherryxJuice)
Tsugunaga Momoko - Hanni (HanniLoreee)
Kumai Yurina - Natsumi (Konatalzumi124)
Tokunaga Chinami - [covered by Belly]
Suodo Maasa - Belly (Rasubelly)
Shimizu Saki - eun mi (eunmijjang)
Ishimura Maiha - [covered by Hana]

Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai by Amai-Koubou (YokuProject) / For some reason, they have disabled embedding. So I made do with a screenshot and a link. Aya is a thinker! (lol, I love Maasa's expression). Anyways! I'm new to Yoku, and usually with first time writes I do include a little info on the project, but there really isn't anything to include. I need to do some poking around and contact some people, maybe do some interviews. So, I'm going to jump right in!

The mixing is off here and there, but overall not too much. There are other minor mixing things that could be better, but Liz is, as she says, still learning. A convo Kappa and I once had comes to mind; long story short, "You can't be a good mixer by someone telling you what to do every step of the way." - It's just something you have to work at; no one's perfect at it instantly. So even though there are quite a lot of dubs out there that could probably be more well put together, it's a learning process. "Trust me, the experience is invaluable." So props to Liz for her hard work!

There aren't actually any parts where everyone sings together, only a bunch of smaller groups throughout the dub; on these the girls aren't always together, but when they are they sound marvelous. Lucy starts things off really well, solo wise - she's at 0:31, and delivered her line fabulously; she sounds great! Following her is Hana, who is very cute; not a long enough listen for me to say much though. Belly at 0:40, she suits Maasa well with her mature voice, I always like listening to her. My goodness, the solos in this from the start are just one good one after another.

Natsumi at 0:43, I really like her "HAPPII ENDO" though she says the lyrics funky towards the end of her solo. BUT! I pulled out my copy of this Berryz single (hells yeah I own it) cause I was honestly too lazy to wait for a video of it to load, and Natsumi says it how Yurina says it. Which I don't get why it sounds like 'wi no' but props to her for accuracy. 0:48 is another great solo from Lucy! Again followed by Hana, who starts off nice, but goes off key on her "kurai de." 0:53 is Hanni, again not enough to form an opinion; she sounds sweet and seems to have pretty good energy, even if it's not the kind that is like HI!

0:57 is fantastic!!! The pre-chorus is the best group parts in the whole dub. On both times that it occurs in the song, the lines are spilt between two groups, (refer to projecthello's lyrics to see what I mean). The groups are; (A) Eu/Be/Na/Lu and (B) Ha/Be/Ha/Ha. I think that that group A is stronger sounding, made up of more mature voices. And group B has a somewhat lesser volume because their sound is cuter. Both groups sound awesome!! It's kind of a bummer that there is no one singing the manly parts, so as I listened I kind of sang them myself, lol.

Uwah, Lucy really shines in this. Her 1:12 chorus starter solo is really good, on beat and sounding great! Following her is Hanni, who sounds fairly good but her "nai" is a little off key. 1:21 is Hana, and 1:26 is Natsumi - both of which did swell, but their solos don't here don't exactly catch my attention; they have better ones. Lucy seems to split her "aishitai" into too many syllables. Again, I refered to the original, and it's more 'ai shi-tai' than 'a i shi tai' or at least that how it sounds to me.

2. 1. 1. That's the number of solos that Saki, Chinami and Maiha get (in that order). Lameness. But! It actually kind of works out, cause both of the latter two are by covers (Belly & Hana), and the one with the most solos of the three is Eun mi, who only has the part of Saki. Speaking of, her first solo is at 1:42, and she did a good job. But a few seconds before (and a little during), you can hear background noise or something picked up by someone's mic. It would have been cool to have this spot a little cleaner, but it's no biggy.

1:55 is Belly, and frick does she sound good!! I adore her solo here! She also does a magnificent job on her next two Maasa solos. 2:09 is more of the wonderful pre-chorus, leading up to the chorus itself, which basically is all that's left. There is some strain on the higher notes here and there, and I was hoping for a little more umph! on the ending, with the bits of vocalizing by Risako and Miyabi & such, but still, overall I think this is a pretty cool dub!
