More Cake + Sora [Tomomomo BBD Debut]

...So hey there, everyone! I'm the Queen of Awkward Moments, also known as Tomo XD I'm supposed to be saying something interesting here, like how it's my debut post on Blabodu, but god, my brain is so dead, so I shall end this run-on sentence and go on blogging.

Erhm. So let's start! Being the lazy person I am, I do not subscribe to many project accounts, therefore I have never heard of Cake Rangers. I, however, do love cake with a passion, so there is some bias present already 8D

The names above don't really ring a bell, and furthermore, I am lagging behind on Buono releases (Last one I heard was probably Rottara LOL), so this will be a very fresh dub for me.

Our Songs / I am liking the guitar so far XD And then we finally hear someone sing! It's Aznfiregirl, at 0:29. Her mic sounds a bit muffled, but she sounds like she's having fun, especially when she sings, "toki sa." After her solo, we hear froom MomoxMochi, who was sadly sick during the recording of this song D: Feel better, Momo! But anyways, she could use some more energy, but her tone is soft and cuddly, which fits Miyabi well XD

And aww, NanchatteRenai21 sounds adorable at 0:35~ We hear some nice vocal blending after her solo, which would have sounded better with some reverb 8) The solos after the first verse are a bit more harder to hear, but I do hear more : D-ness in their lines. Then we get to the chorus, and I am just ;--; at how well the trio blends. Their high note at 1:21 sounds pretty, too ~

We move onto the second half of the song, where I am happy to say we hear more energy from all three dubbers 8D Towards the end, I hear some pitchiness, but that kind of adds to the cuteness of their voices~ There could be a bit more volume-refining, but everything was audible (: Overall, I enjoyed listening to this dub. It makes me actually want to go and listen to the real Buono song LOL XD Great job girls! And hope Momo gets better ;)



Second dub of my debut post... Kokoro no Tamago! Oh my god, this song is so cute, and it makes me nostalgic ;-; I remember when the first episode of Shugo Chara came out LOL. Anyways. Oh dear. It appears to me that SoraProject has not listed the cast in their info box, so I will refer to them as the Airi-dubber, Momo-dubber, and Miya-dubber. XD

We hear some nice group parts that could use more precise timing and some volume management, but you got hear everyone sing together Miya-dubber sings at 0:45, and her voice matches Miyabi so well! It has energy and a slightly more-mature but kawaii feel to it! Momo-dubber was adorable, and I would have enjoyed her solo much more if there wasn't so much of a muffle XD But I like the why she held out her "na~"

Airi-dubber has the most energy in this dub, and she sings well~ I love her, "iwareta tte" lines. Yay, more pretty group parts, and Miya-dubber seriously fits Miyabi so well at 1:07! Momo-dubber's "Zen-zen" had so much sass and was cuteee.

Once more, there was some inconsistency during the group parts, but we hear a lovely solo from Airi-dubber at 2:03! I love the umph to her lines, and she does make a good Airi! Great job, girls! I wish I could know your usernames D:

"Ippai aru mon naritai atashi : D" This inspirational line means, "There are a lot of things I want to be : D"~ Let's all work towards our dreams! And Tomo will sign out now. She has to go jog cause sitting down in front of the computer has made her fat -shot-

This has been a long time coming, or at least it feels like it, lol. The CR's youtube was created May 17th. Their first dub was released the next day (Kioku No Meiro). Since then they've been putting out one dub after another, landing their current total at 17 dubs within about 27 days. Quality is better than quantity, true. But from what little I have heard, the Cake Rangers put out decent dubs, and they've been busy little bees from the start. And dubbing is really all about fun, & I have a feeling that this bunch truly enjoy themselves~

To be honest, none of their dubs have really grabbed my attention. I haven't listened to any fully through, and it's not because I don't like what I hear, but because I haven't heard enough. (*edit* aha! I just finished listening to the RoboKiss duet!) Sometimes I just get busy and have to chose what to blog about and what will get passed up for the time being. And with CR's, it'd be that the song they just dubbed I had just written about, lol. Seriously, it's happened a few times.

That, and I often just get tired of seeing / hearing the same song within a week and when it comes to chosing, I end up passing up a dub because of song choice. Nothing personal. I've been waiting for something by them to come along that really makes me go OH OH and wanna wave my hand around like a little kid wanting the teacher to let them anwser. I've felt kind of bad about putting them off for so long, and now, no more!!

Many of the releases on the Cake Rangera channel are duets and solos; mainly small cast dubs. I looked through them until I found the first groupdub, and the above is it! I'm not going to review any dubs in this entry; it's mostly to let y'all know that this fun little group exists, and toss links your way. However, there will be a review of one of their dubs put up today. Just in a different entry. Lately, CR has been releasing solos;

Seishun Collection /I do have to agree with what a few people said about this; in a race to be the first release of this song, the mixing suffered. I know zip about mixing, and I think that this could have been a lot smoother and turned out an all around better sound and quality. But! ~ all the little things aside, this is still a nice dub; some very pretty lines, and I hear a lot of great voices!
