Shizen [News + Recent Releases]

Shiroi Tokyo by Koibito [Gen 1]
(Shizen's Latest Release)

I was going to interview Shizen Project, at Ayaka's request- but then I found I'd already interviewed her. But she was sweet enough to send me the request and get my contact info for MSN, so I couldn't resist. Instead we did a sort of 'What's new with Shizen' meeting-thing.

LOL we actually kept talking over each other, which was kind of funny, but I got a lot of info and it was cool to chat one-on-one with the Shizen's leader. (Note: Because we talked over each other, I had to move some replies around, so it wouldn't be confusing) Sorry this is so long~

AYA: Okay for starters, why don't you pick something new that has happened recently in Shizen and tell me about it.

AYAKA
: We gained 9 new members. Our new trainees- they will help us other if we need to be covered in songs. They will also do songs themselves, I haven't started that out yet because we are currently recruiting two more. The second thing is we are working on a concert that we plan on being released in winter 2011.

We have got six new splinter groups covering old H!P stuffs. Like Country Musume, Coconuts Musume and Melon Kinenbi. We haven't started them yet but the cast is up.

AYA: So many projects are having auditions lately!! It's exciting, lol. Are all 9 members trainees? Have you thought any about what kinds of songs you'd like them to sing? A Shizen Concert!? YAY! It's a little bit away, but just the thought of it fills me with glee. Do you have names for the splinter groups yet?

AYAKA
: Since it have been so long since you interviewed me, I can also tell you we got 11 new gen.4 members. Joined on July 31st. Yes, all 9 members are trainees and they will sing in groups- like, they'll sing small group songs and are going to be in new group everytime they sing a new song.

So W, Minimoni, S/mileage, KiraPika, GAM and other small stuffs. All our groups have a name of things in the nature, because of the name 'shizen' that means nature. The first one is Hanabira that covers Tanpopo. Then it is Mitsurin covering Country Musume, Nanairo Sui covering v-u-den, Takazora that covers Melon Kinenbi, Coconuts Musume group is Soyokaze Musume, and Nagareboshi covering Milky Way.

No trainees are in these groups or the units only in their own group. OH WAIT I forgot a detail- Trainees are covering and singing and when we think they are ready they will graduate to form a new generation (full members).

AYA: Anything else new going on? Are you doing anything special for Christmas?

AYAKA: I haven't thought of that but since I am soon done with the coding for the concert and we are going to mix it in December, I don't think we'll get time to make a special thing for christmas. We've got a name of the concert it's called Shizen! Project 2011 WINTER Fuyu no Tanoshimi ~Shizen!Champloo~

We are trying to make the members more active because in the meantime we are not that active, the leaders and I want us to be. So we are working together and planning on how to do it, we have a leader discussion on the board.

AYA: Aww I like it!! (the concert name) Are you going to pull random tracks from different concerts, or are you going to fully cover a concert track list? Like a full C-ute concert, or a full Wonderful Hearts concert, etc

That's awesome! With school and work & such, I'm sure activeness can be a struggle. Goodness knows, my work makes me a slow blogger quite often. A lot of projects go under because of it, so I'm glad that y'all are fighting it! I really like listening to y'all's singing!

AYAKA
: A full concert. I am a bit...I don't know what it's called but I have seen three posts on your blog from projects doing the same concert. But we are doing a full concert track list...Hello Project 2009 SUMMER Kakumei Gannen Hello Champloo!

AYA
: Cool, I was just curious~ I wish you the best of luck with it, and will try and keep an eye out for it! So; new members, trainees, concert, new groups...is that about all for the Shizen news? OH question! Your profile mentions AKB48, but you've mainly done H!P. Do you have plans for any AKB48 dubs?

AYAKA
: Yes, we have a AKB48 group called SPD48. We've only got 5 members for it so I don't know what to do with it. Um...news. Let me think. We opened a korean group, I am still doing the coding for our first single. I HOPE to get it done by (the end of) October if my members give lines on time haha.

AYA
: You could try and cover the subunits of AKB48? They have some really good songs that are underdubbed. WHAT? A Korean group?! Yay~ My birthday is in October *winkwink* I like it when projects go outside of H!P, or whatever their focus is. It's fun to try different things.

AYAKA
: I know about the subunits, but you know, I wanted something big. Like AKB is big and I thought it would be good with a big group. But I am afraid of copyright, don't wanna loose ShizenProjectDubs. I like it too. I personally think H!P is very much dubbed and I think other groups need some dubbing-spotlight.

AYA
: A lot of projects use images that show who is singing when, but no video. To try and protect themselves. That could work, eh? H!P is dubbed a lot!! And that's not bad, but it's the same songs and groups over and over. Other groups should get some spotlight indeed!

AYAKA: Yeah! I did that on the Aishite Aishite Ato Ippun video. You know, I've got Photoshop CS2 but no mixing software. So It's pretty useless.

AYA: Uh-huh, I remember :'3 Going back to the activeness, are your members pretty active in the forums?

AYAKA
: To be honest NO! You know some of them (or mostly all I think) are checking it but not all are posting. I have some that posts alot, like Kaki. She is on about 6 times a day, she is the spambot. No, not everyone is active. We are working on it!

I'm trying to put in games and other stuffs. Angeru [KisetsuProject] gave me a tips about starting fanfiction about the project, but since my english skills and writing skills are near 0 I don't think it would work. But the leaders and I are working on it.

AYA: I used to be such a forum person, but now I rarely take part in them. Games are always a fun way to keep busy in the forums~ OH Angeru, that sweetheart. That was really nice of her. I adore fanfiction, but it's not for everyone. Where are you from? Even if nothing comes of it, it's nice that you and other projects can bounce ideas off each other!

AYAKA: I'm from Sweden. My mum is from Japan but we moved here due to my dad is swedish and he got a job here. Why aren't you on forums anymore? I remembered you on hana pro's old forum. What happened?

AYA: Sweden! I've been to a few places in the East, but never there. And don't worry about your English, I fail at all languages lol. Even before I got into dubbing, I used to live on forums. I'm talking years ago (when this gal was a little teenybopper). I tend to move from one thing to another. Something will hold my interest for a year, maybe more.

Then I find something else I like. But I don't think that will happen with dubbing. I went through a Gaia phase (5-6 years) and a fanfiction reading/writing stage. But now it's all dubbing for me~ Blogging takes up too much of my time and I though I often lurk in forums, I don't post much.

...Okay I'd better cut this off, it's getting long LOL.

FLY HIGH!

Hiduke 「fantasykingdom1227」
Kani 「madleybloomingstar」
Ringo 「thecutieastig」
Ichijiku 「crazyselphie」
Nashi 「missgumbiecat」

Iku ZYX! Fly High
by Amai Hikage (Shizen Project) / CCylyrics / I am in love with this!! Someone gave me the download links to the latest from this pro (Ayaka?) and I've found myself listening to this a lot ever since! I've never really paid the song much attention, but I really like this dub! I love Nashi to pieces and this is a great song for her! Kani is incredibly adorable & Ichijiku and Ringo sound so pretty! Hiduke reminds me so hardcore of another dubber, but pushing similarities aside, Hiduke's singing is pure terrific her and it's fabulous!

I'm going to go off my mp3 *too lazy to wait for the vid to fully load* so my times might be off, but I think I got them pretty close. I love all of the "Ah" "ha" "wow" and "yeah"s in the verses!! They really add a delicious little atttitudey-kick. lol, that sounds weird- I mean it suits the song. I think the girls really sang this with an awesome amount of energy and gangsta-ness. Basically; they rock!! This is so smooth, so cool and OH YEAH.

All of the solos in the verses and pre-chorus' are beyond wonderful!! (I love Nashi's "ah" part at 1:37) But the real treat for me is the chorus!! It's spectacular! I would go through and pick out some of my favorite solos by each girl, but it's too hard!! They are all superb! I do so love the "YES! FLY HIGH"s by Kani (1:51) and Ringo (3:43) + the "HOLD ME TIGHT"s by Hiduke (2:04) and Nashi (3:56).

Some other stuff- I like Hiduke's "omoidasenai" at 1:20, and Ringo's "Wow yeah" at 1:29 catches my attention every time. Kani makes so many kawaii little sounds, I can't name them all, but I like her "henji shite yo" at 3:04, including the following "ah yeah" ~ Nashi pwned the "Wow" vocalizing part starting at 4:03! And I totally love Ichijiku's second "suki yo ippai" at 4:56! Her name pops up one time less in this, only cause she didn't get to sing any of the "YES / HOLD" parts. All of her lines are beautiful!!

You don't get to hear the girls altogether very much in this song; pretty much just on the pre-chorus. And even then their group lines aren't very long, but from what I do hear they're marvelous!! I really like their "YES! FLY HIGH" at 4:34! Overall I love this!! Shizen did a sensational job and I thank them for sharing!

SHIZEN!

As you can see from the banner that assaults your eyes the moment you click your way to my blog, I changed it! I don't only blog about H!P dubbing groups, and so I felt my previous banner was misleading. Plus I started out only writing about a handful of projects; now I keep tabs on over 80. It doesn't seem fair to have the name of only about a dozen of'em up there, and none of the rest.

Plus- AK and SnM cover all kinds of songs (Asian, English, and much more), there are AKB48 groups, kpop groups, etc on YT, and I like to listen to solos too. Also, people who don't know me or don't follow the YT & dubbing communities were probably confused by my old banner, lol. So even though I stuck to a very basic banner this time, I'm happy enough with it for now.

Campus Life ~Umarete Kite Yokatta~
by Amai Hikage (ShizenProjectDubs) / I was a millasecond from being really sad that I didn't know who was singing when and stuff, then I remember that Ayaka gave me the CClyrics AGES ago when she sweetly asked me to look at it. (OMG they even named it 'color codes for Aya' gaaaah ILYGUYS) I downloaded it then and have been listening to it ever since, and it's one of my favorite dubs of this song. And definitely one of the best.

jkgneswjgn I love Kani. She is so amazingly kawaii, I could say it twelve dozen times and I know it'll still be true, but I can't help fangirling over her voice. She has the first solo and instantly you're loving the dub when you hear her. Not that it's all about her, no no no, she just starts the song off wonderfully and I'm loving it!

0:33 is Ichijiku, she's such lovable mix of pretty & cute!! She sounds soooo good and delivers well! I like her "suwatteru" though every word from her is magnificent! 0:46 is Hiduke, her solo is semi-short but super lovely! I love her "kiita" ~ she's followed by Na/Ri, and ohmy they sound fantastic together!! And then it's the chorus!! YAY.

This song has grown on me a lot, as many songs end up doing (except for Seishun Collection, lmao). I really like the melodies, and on them this gorgeous group of gals is great to the gillionth power, and then some. Seriously. The chorus sounds sensationally spectacular!! I love love love LOVE it!! I'm just bobbin' along in my chair and enjoying this 'music to my ears' quite literally.

Kani has the first "SUKI" solo at 1:24ish, and it's purely adorable! On to the second chorus- 1:38 is Ringo, who reminds me a bit of Ichijiku, in that they both have a similar sound; mega pretty + cute, just in their own different ways! I really like Ringo's "tappuri to" ~ she sings with oodles of emotion and dazzles my cilia with her outstanding vocals!

1:51ish is Hiduke, I don't know why but she reminds me of Rae (SingingOnDemand) in this. I've heard her sing quite often before, maybe it's just this song, or me being weird? lol idk. Anyways, she is delightful!! I don't know which part of her lovely solo to pick out, cause it's all awesome! Following is Ichijiku, again not a long solo but she's cute 'n charming. I like her "kara ne"

2:09 is Na/Ka, and they are making me believe -even more so than I already do- that it's likely impossible for this group of girls to sound anything but amazing together!! And if they don't do it, the chorus right after certainly does!! The blending in this overall is through the roof! I love the chorus to pieces, and if this dub were cake I'd say screw the pieces and take a fork to the whole kickbutt confection!

Ringo at 2:42, I really like her last "SUKI" but all three of them are sweet. (*has the stupid hiccups*) And then 2:57 is Martha Nashi! I need to get used to the names in this project, lol. Goodness gracious, do I love this lady's singing; she sounds incredible! I love the sound of her voice and the emotion she puts into her lines. After the last set of lines in the chorus -sung by everyone- Nashi has the final "SUKI SUKI SUKI"

klefeklfej lgkernjgklr YAYAYAYAY, yes if you read between the lines that is my name in caps, but the main point is a big YAY for this dub!! I totally love it and will go on loving it, and am happy to share my adoration with y'all and hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did the first time and still do!

ALSO *HINT HINT* I am downloading their Suki Sugite Baka Mitai dub ASAP (which will be right now if technology keeps being nice to me) and y'all shouldn't hesitate to give that a go as well. Though I can't say anything about it yet, since I haven't heard it. I'm sure it's going to be wonderful. We shall seeeee~

Starburst extreme; deliciousness for your ears

Tsugunaga Momoko : Ichijiku [ crazyselphie ]
Natsuyaki Miyabi : Zakuro [ japangaruuz ]
Suzuki Airi : Reishi [ froghaterk ]

MY BOY by Shinrin (ShizenProjectDubs) / I've had this sent to me a few times and have been warned in advance of it's total awesomness. I would have to agree; this is one epic dub! The cast is brilliant and the overall turn out a little mind blowing. Nothing I say about the voices & singing in this can fully encompass how fabulous they are. But I'll go ahead anyways, lol

0:22 is Ichijku, she is so sweet+cute+pretty! Have I never heard her before? I don't know her name or username off the top of my head. Following is Reishi who is crazy amazing! Ohmy, best Airi MY BOY lines ever. 0:31ish is Zakuro, I really like her mature lovely sound; she does sometimes sound a little lacking in energy on the verses, but just wait 'til we hit the chorus!

Ichijku's "shitteru" at 0:52 is SO good, I love it; short but sweet. Frick, can I just marry Reishi's vocals right now? She's killer at 0:55! I adore her light vibrato on "kitto" - she's such a strong singer and delivers awesomely. The chorus in this dub is spectacular!! The blending is so hardcore excellent. 1:09 = Zakuro!! Yay, the solo I was talking about; she rocks on the chorus melody, singing with terrific energy and sounding great!

I've always liked the "it's so nice"s in this song, and Ichijku's at 1:22 is spot on and wonderful!! The melody of the following solo is also one of my fave parts of MY BOY, it's just so darn catchy and a great way to end the chorus. Reishi sings it the first time around and she does so super splendidly, sounding epic! 1:44 starts up the next verse, each girl getting at least a solo, all of which are marvelous.

2:07 is the second pre-chorus, which Zakuro comes in a little early on, but still sounds swell. I like Ichijku's little "nai desho" that follows. Reishi's 2:40ish solo is so full of win, just like the rest of her solos; I especially like her ending "kari" ~ Zakuro at 2:45, ohyes. Her "subete wa" is strong and she hits a lot of nice notes. Ichijku has the "MY BOY" at 2:56 and it's fabulous!

One last chorus at 3:25, which I think is the best part of this dub. There's more of that awesome blending!! The last few fantastic solos; Reishi (3:29) and Zakuro (3:38), then Ichijku sounding super at 2:43 on the melody that I really like. She pwns. Reishi has the ending "MY BOY" and it's spectacular! Though I swear I hear something random and faint during her held note at like 2:56ish. Could be just me, idk. Anyways!!

This dub is smashing!! A+++ plus a kajillion non-existent YT stars and a major thumbs up! I've tried to download it twice now, but my internet's been hating on me, lol. I'll get it eventually. Definitely worth a listen, so DO IT NAO. Please. Thanks for sharing with me Shizen and people of Shizen!

Requests / Shared Vids [P2]

Ichijiku [ crazyselphie ]
Sakuranbo [ rosettachan ]
Kyuuri [ reinaloverai ]
Reishi [ froghaterk ]

EVERYDAY Zekkouchou by [Generation 2] (ShizenProjectDubs) / I am in LOVE with this. I really like this song and this is a SPECTACULAR dub of it. I am downloading it right now. I actually opened this entry last night (and listened to this like 5 fives), but I took my shower and was in my room and fell asleep!!! Grrr, I was so annoyed with myself about that. Anyways~

This is an amazing first track to a smashing premier single by Gen 2. I don't remember if I heard their B-side already, but I might have to after hearing this. My mind is already severely blown, and after hearing this brilliant piece of work from these lovely ladies, I will most definitely be keeping my eye on them and Shizen. Gah, it's SO GOOOD *clingstoMP3*

I'm really disappointed that there aren't any CClyrics, or any indication of when which girl sings. So I am going to BS this and either refer to times, solos or H!P girl. The first Maimi solo at 0:21 is wonderful! A fab start to the dub, I like her "hajimete ii onna ni" ~ she has a really sweet voice that is very pleasant to listen to.

One thing about this song that I ADORE, are the little added syllables throughout the song. Like on the "ne" of the first solo about 0:35. She sounds SO good on it. It's also on the "mo" at 0:39 of the Airi solo (which is awesome), and many times in the dub. Speaking of the second solo; more epicness! Her first two lines are fantastic!!

The "UH BABY" at about 0:43 sounds like it's by someone else, just as the "kurai" back at 0:28 sounds like it's by a different girl. It's not like this in the original scripting, and I think it's pretty cool. I like the "-merareta" a lot in the second solo, and the "ano hi mo" right after is swell too. I am loving her voice. So mature and lovely.

The duets in this dub -like at 0:52- are magnificent! kjwfnw kfnwfjk kje, definitely one of my fave parts. The blending in this dub is terrific, splendid, spot on; just pure pwn. Ohmygosh, the chorus is BRILLIANT! I love how the girls sound together, they make such a great group; they rocked the chorus. And what's more; the next verse (1:58) is sung as a group part! Then we get more duets at 2:14 - Gah, so much epic blending. I love love love it!

I feel like I'm just fangirling mostly, and I probably am, lol. Without knowing who's singing when, it doesn't give me much to comment on individually. There is a lot of group parts in this dub, and I really truly adore them. This is a SMASHING dub, and I sincerely mean that. Probably the best one of this song I've ever heard.

I kind of want to think that this is casted. Sometimes when I think it's the same girl singing and I check the lyrics on projecthello it's the same color. And Chisato only has two solos in this and they both sound like the same girl. At the time, C-ute had six members, but only four of them get solos and that's the number of cast in this. But regardless if I'm right or wrong, I don't know who is singing when.

Thank you to Zakuro for giving me info! But...it greatly confuses me. I'll post it, you y'all can refer to it. It's really time consuming for me to go back through an entry and add in times, names, etc, cause I usually end up rewriting sentences and having to word things differently, etc.

Ichijiku: 0:20-0:27 and then the rest of Maimi's part
Reishi: 0:27-0:28
Sakuranbo: 0:36-0:42 and then rest rest of Airi's part
Kyuuri: 0:42-0:43

Butyeah, this is a really really super mega good fabulous wonderful dub, and all of these gals did a excellent job! I really enjoyed listening, so major props to them for their singing and also to Reishi for mixing. Yay Shizen~

Misc Project Recent Releases~

Akiyama Yurika: Catanaition
Hashimoto Aina: Corsica
Morozuka Kanami: Catanaition/Writerserenyty
Okada Robin Shouko: Writerserenyty
Oose Kaede: Boo
Goto Yuki: Boo/Corsica

Shiawase no Katachi by J-unior SWEET (Totally Up! Project) / "The 1st track in J-unior SWEET's 5th single, Form and Happiness. This track features J-unior SWEET gen 9 members. . . .Corsica is a special guest on this single as she is a gen 6 member of J-unior SWEET."

This song is alright, but it doesn't exactly float my boat. And I don't know any of THE Possible girls by name, so I'm lost as to who is singing when. The verses are nice, though they seem like they are semi-tricky; like they'd be easy to sing off-time on - you kind of hear that as well, where some people got close. But they turned out pretty well in this dub! I think I like the chorus the most; it's catchy, has cute/sweet vibes and I like how everyone sounds on it. Overall, the energy level is good; the girls did a marvelous job. Delightful~

Saki Shimizu - Awai [madleybloomingstar]
Momoko Tsugunaga - Okie [DivaDragger]
Chinami Tokunaga - Kazzy [Vendready]
Maasa Sudou - Aiko [ReinaLoverai]
Miyabi Natsuyaki - Choco [chocolateblakberri]
Yurina Kumai - Ami [amiswami2]
Risako Sugaya - Ayu [ChiiAyu]

Tomodachi wa Tomodachi Nanda by Cookie Koubou (cremeproject) / I got distracted by the PV for a little bit, lol. I forgot what a sweet vid this song has. Then my computer went dumb on me and I had to restart. And I'm hungry. But anyways!! Uwah, such a wonderful cast! I know everyone except Kazzy, I think. Ayuchan makes such a great Rii!! It's a bit funny to hear Choco as Miyabi when I'm used to her as Momo, but either way, she is a fantastic and adorable singer. Both her and Ayu pwned their lines in this.

Okie!! Cuteness defined! All of her solos sound very sweet & good. Ohemgee, I love Aiko as Maasa! And following her is Awai as Saki, more omgIloveit! Both of them delivered fabulously! Kazzy is cute, too bad her and the other two only get one line in this song. 3:08 is really good, all of the verses are great and I adore the chorus!! Everyone sounds good together. I haven't listened to a dub of this song in a while, actually. And this is one marvelous dub!

Hiduke [ fantasykingdom2177 ]
Ichijiku [ crazyselphie ]
Sakuranbo [ harpiegirlsuzuka ]
Kyuuri [ reinaloverai ]

Suki Sugite Baka Mitai by (ShizenProjectDubs) / Generation 2's debut! their premier single is titled, Everyday In Perfect Form, and this is it's B-side. The A-side has yet to be released, but is in the works. ~ This is one of my favorite songs, and I think it requires a lot of energy. These girls did a good job, but I didn't get the umph! from this that I was hoping for. Yes, not every line is supposed to burst with energy, but this song does call for a certain amount of, if not energy, emotion. I am looking foward to their A-side, EVERDAY Zekkouchou - it's a good song.

Rii (AzNxRawRx)
Chisako (JapanGirlHellopro)
Mashiro (iwearatshirttoday)
Rixie (RixieMixiePixieDixie)

Sakura Kiss by SakuraRanbo (SakuranboDubs) / As noted by a few members of the dub, the mixing could be better. Even though everyone wasn't together, they all still sound good. The ones whose recorded lines kind of fell together had great blending. I really like the chorus, even with the jumbledness. The beginning and ending parts, "Kiss kiss, fall in love" & etc - I like those. I'd like to hear this with better mixing, I think it would be fabulous~

Ai [lovelybeige]
Hanna [HannaPulla]
Ceci [CeciiIceChii]

In the drop-down section it's listed as 'solos in appearance' which leads me to believe it's in order of solos - that the three girls will cycle through repeatedly until the song ends. But I kept getting confused and my ears were like; AH! So I finally found my way to their forums and luckily they had CClyrics up. But, things do not go in order of solos. I find it very frustrating when I'm looking at it in a 'order of solos' mind frame, when it isn't actually like that. Not just for when I'm writing, but also simply as a listener.

Edo no Temrai uta II by SweetxHeart♥ (ShiningStarCovers) / I really like this song, it's quite short, but super catchy. And I have fun lol-ing at Airi & Kanna's hats. I think Nakki looks adorable. Anyways! Ai starts the dub off awesomely, she has a mature and lovely voice. Following her is Hanna (and again at 0:42), she certainly has a lot of energy, which is a good thing. Her solos were sometimes a bit funny because of her amount of umph! but not in a bad way; she made me smile. All of the girls have good energy!

I love the chorus to pieces! Even if a dub isn't perfect, if it's got you laughing / smiling / feeling good / whatev, then the dubbers sure did something good and are worth a listen. This trio gives off such fabulous vibes as they sing this! I also like how they sound together. I love Ceci's solo after the first chorus, her "hey hey" at 1:10 is adorable!! And the rest of her solo here is wonderful. Following her is Hanna at 1:17, and the last solo of the song is by Ai at 1:23. Then we have more marvelous chorus before this short but sweet dub ends. Other than my initial confusion, I greatly enjoyed this.

Sugaya Risako - Jess [ lilmenchi ]
Natsuyaki Miyabi - Reika [ candyraver009 ]
Tsugunaga Momoko - Beth [ bibblebobble629 ]
Kumai Yurina - Kayla [ goraxscene ]
Tokunaga Chinami - Chiyo [ xchiyochii ]
Sudou Maasa - Ayuchi [ ayulantina ]
Shimizu Saki - Rae [ talentlessloser ]

Otakebi Boy WAO! by Hello!Stage Shuffles (HelloStage) / This song again, lol. I don't actually really tire of it, but sometimes it's just like; really?! Some of Jess' lines were iffy, but she's got energy. I super adore Beth's parts and Reika sounds awesome. And as we all know, the other four girls don't get many lines - the ones they do have sound swell though. I like the "WAO"s and the mixing sounds good to my unknowledgable ears. Overall, a nice release from H!S.

Shizen is the shizniz

Aiko (ReinaLoverai) and Emi (ekichida) both shared the same dub with me the other day and I was going to blog about this new project, but once I saw how little information I was able to gather I decided to contact the project leader, Zakuro, to find out more about Shizen.

Mini Interview Time ~

AYA: The debut release was on May 08th, but the account's been around since December. When was the project formed/begun?

ZAKURO: ". . . .we started up in December when I asked Budou, Nashi, Kani and Ringo to join my new "epic" project. We started right away with our first single, but we lost it because of Budou's inactivity, but then in March Budou joined the forum and gave her lines and I took some time to release it."

AYA: What does Shizen mean? And what is the label SCD?

ZAKURO: "Shizen means Nature and SCD is a (label), but it consists of some other projects like: Candyyy Project and Fruity Gloss."

AYA: Where did the idea for the project come from?

ZAKURO: "It was thinking of Hana Project; that I wanted to have a project that would be epic too."

AYA: I see no audition videos and yet there are already 3 generations. Were members gained just by asking; either people asking/applying to join, or by the project asking friends or/and dubbers to join?

ZAKURO: "All were gained by asking, I asked around for some weeks and I added them."

AYA: It seems as if each member is given a name to go by; do these have any special meaning or are they just picked out for fun.

ZAKURO: "Each person including me is getting a Fruit or Vegetable name in Japanese. I did that because of Shizen means Nature and Fruits and Vegetables is in the Nature."

AYA: What would you say is the goal of your project; Are you set on making progress as a group, or is your main goal to just have fun? Somewhere inbetween?

ZAKURO: "The goal is to have fun and release dubs that our listeners like and to be epic. . . .But for that, all need to have fun!"

Thanks to Zakuro for taking the time to answer!

Aishite Aishite Ato Ippun by Generation 1 (ShizenProject) B-side to their first single/ This is so good! I can't stop listening to it; I downloaded it yesterday. It's freaking catchy and all the girls sound splendid! I like how the vid image shows you who is singing when, since this is a B-side song with no PV.

There aren't any group parts in this song originally, only solos and trios. SP was creative with line division, splitting into different groups of twos and threes on the trio-parts. At 0:38 it's Zakuro and Kyuuri, followed by Ringo, Nashi and Kani. At 1:52 it's Kyuuri and Ringo, followed by Kani, Zakuro and Nashi. I think out of the duets I liked the last group the most; they sound great together. All the groups do.

Everything else is solos except for towards the end at 3:12 where the whole group sings the last trio-part together. The blending is magnificent. Wow, I never realized how similar-sounding Zakuro and Kyuuri are. On the first two solos I almost didn't notice the singer change. They both have mature, strong, lovely voices.

Nashi sounds a littler quieter than the rest, I can hear the energy as she sings, she just doesn't have a. . .loud vocal volume? idk how to describe it. She sounds wonderful. Ringo is adorable! She has such a cute voice and I love the emotion she sings with. Kani is marvelous; very sweet and so full of pep. Always fun to listen to. Both of them delivered their lines very well.

I love the "AH Zenbu suteki" parts, where it goes up higher on the "suteki." The girls nailed it every time. This is an awesome cast! There are so so many good things about this dub. I'd totally give it 5 stars. More like 5k stars. Y'all should totally have a listen. I know I won't be able to get the "Aishite Aishite Ato Ippun"s out of my head, lol.

AS FOR ONE DAY by Generation 1 - The A-side to their first single / I don't like this song very much, so I wasn't all excited about listening to this dub really. The beginning speaking part was kawaii and freaking awesome. I liked the "sayonara koi fubuki" and "AS FOR ONE DAY" parts throughout the song.

The chorus sounds great! Just like in the B-side, the blending is epic. I'm not going to go further into detail, but it's worth a listen. Especially if you lik the song. That's the main reason it doesn't appeal to me. Great job gals! I can't wait to hear the other generations' first singles~
