Kaori Basket's latest~

KB has recently uploaded several dubs onto their YouTube channel. I'm not going to listen to all eleven, just a couple, because it's already late and I'd like to finish this entry. I couldn't help but lol a little when I saw that two of them were Rival and Mikan.

They've been previously featured in polls and I've mentioned before how often I've seen dubs of both of them over the past few weeks. They're both from KB Purple's first album ~ Purple Hit Parade. Here are the rest of the dubs, as well as links to their pages on KB's site, for those interested in downloading or checking out the whole singles.

*(YT link / Group / release date & KB page link)

Fighting Pose wa Date Ja Nai by KB Red (2009)
Resonant Blue by KB Purple (11.19.09)
Ashita wa Ashita no Kimi ga Umareru by HinaGIKUrabu (01.23.10)
Narihajimeta Koi no Bell by KB Blue (2009)
MI DA RA Matenrou by KB Yellow (2009)
Hanamoni.Telephone Rin Rin Rin by Hana☆Fubuki (2010)

*Note* I picked the next two songs to write about because I originally thought they were the most recent. So, no favoritism or anything. Just how things turned out. Thanks to Jess for keeping me up to date~

(YT vid / KB page / CClyrics) Narihajimeta Koi no Bell is off of HinaGIKUrabu's fifth single, released on April 27th. The members who participated in this song are; Tanaka Mariko, Ogawa Aya, Yajima Maimi, Kimura Atsuko, Yasuda Konatsu, Nakajima Momoka, and Ishimura Megumi.

I am loving the energy! Some have a little more than others, but overall it's fabulous. Everyone sounds wonderful, I like so so many of the solos! This dub is made up of mostly small group parts; duets, trios and such - these all turned out well & I liked hearing all the groups. The "wow"s and "aa"s throughout varied since they are done by different people, & I heard a lot of awesome / adorable ones.

(YT vid / KB page / CClyrics) Hitorijime is off of KB Green's ninth single, released on May 13th, it's one of the more recent releases from Kaori. The members who participated in this song are; Tanaka Mariko, Yajima Maimi, Kago Yuu, Yasuda Konatsu, Mitsui Yuri.

This three person song is spilt between five girls, all of which sound really good! In this case, the lyrics really help. This isn't my favorite from KB, but it's still a lovely release. Big props to all of these marvelous singers.

Meh, I'm running out of steam for the night. So sorry this entry is sort of becoming lame. I leave you with one last KB dub; one of the tracks from Kaori Basket's Rainbow Edition one-shot. It's pretty catchy~

Kaori Basket Update!

Kaori Basket has seven new releases!!

The six singles are ; SHALL WE LOVE? by Kaori Basket Yellow
Melodies by Kaori Basket Blue / HAPPY SUMMER WEDDING by SEIKA
Koi no Jubaku by Kaori Basket Green / Aitakatta! by HinaGIKUrabu
Sexy Night ~ Wasurerarenai Kare by KB Orange

Also released was Kaori Basket Yellow's 2010 Winter Concert; Ikimasshoi! Yellow Miracle Night. It has 20 songs!! Everything was released on Tuesday, and the A sides were uploaded on their YouTube the next day. Downloads and lyrics are up on their website, and each single has it's own member-made cover.

For the KB groups; each of the colors sang an A and B side (the A side being the name of their single), with their teams' versions of Good Morning and Dounikashite Doyoubi as extra, bringing the numbers of tracks per release to four. SEIKA's single only had an A & B side, and HinaGIKUrabu's had a total of three tracks.

I didn't listen to all of the songs tonight, but I did like Happy Summer Wedding. There were also some not-so-recent releases on KB's channel, including Kaori Basket Purple's Nanchuu Koi wo Yatteru YOU KNOW? - I love that song! And the dub turned out pretty good. I'll have to listen to all of them, plus B sides and some of KBY's concert, but it's too late tonight~

Mini update + KB

Poll; Kind of random this time. I've seen/heard a lot of First Kiss releases lately, and before that I was listening to a lot of downloaded Nanchatte Renai dubs. So, to say the least, I've listened to these two songs quite a bit. I was curious as to y'all's opinion.

Featured Dubs; I ended up with a theme of sorts- Korean & Mandarin. Rae and the AK dub are the former & Renna and the SnM dub are the latter. I wanted to add in another, but I thought four was taking up enough room, lol.

I started browsing about Kaori Basket's Discography page for more dubs to download, since they're next on my list to cover. I think I'm going to cycle through YouTube, SnM, AK & KB (and whatever else) so that I don't blog about any one too much. I'll always check YT first for Shared Vids and then go from there.

Kaori Basket Yellow Single (Released 10.08.09) Tracks; Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba, Ai no Tane, SONGS. Cover by Bakapai. Mixing by Hitomi Naoko. KB page + downloads. I've already covered something by KB Red and KB Blue, so I wanted to pick another group.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba / One of BK's catchy slower songs, I've always really liked the chorus, but the verses are nice too. And this little group of gals sound splendid singing it! I couldn't help swaying in my chair as I listened. This dub is very pretty. I've already listened to it like, seven times in a row. Repeated listenings let me get a good feel for the dub; I can say I listened enough to form an opinion.
I don't have a cast list for this, or really any KB releases. I tried looking in the forum, but no luck. There is a current member list, but I don't know if it's changed since '09. So props to whoever participated in this single. One of the girls reminds me of Zaachan from YT and someone else of a young Momoko. Just a little. They've all got their own unique voices, which blend together well.
But yeah, I really like this dub! There is a little pitchiness now and then, but nothing extreme. The solos were delivered well, which is good, since there are so many solos in this song. There actually isn't even one line where they all sing together; only solos and a few duet parts. This is enjoyable, and though not perfect, totally a keeper.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ai no Tane / jkegfnejwkfnf. This and Morning Coffee are awesome songs from early Momusu, two I've always adored. I heard some very lovely lines in this dub- still some minor pitchiness; but it doesn't take away from the dub as a whole. I am totally loving the vibrato someone is using.

Yay for some group parts! The chorus was great! It's nice to hear the girls all together; their energy level was pretty good. With the parts being recorded seperately, there is always the possibility of lines not being completely together, and that happened a little bit here and there. But I think this turned out wonderfully~

Kaori Basket

KB is not as easy to get information on. I was hoping to find some sort of 'About Us' page or thread, but I've had no luck. I did find an old blog entry on Morning Kuri about Kaori Basket though. It's from 2008, but it's still worth a peek. Kuri (who I don't know in the slightest) lists some of her favorite dubs from KB & it's groups.

"One of the more interesting things about KB is that along with joining the group, members are required to choose an “idol name” and create a persona to go along with it. The idol persona is not required to be like the creator, nor are they required to play in the official Kaori Basket RPG, Kaori Basket Live! However, Kuri recommends it, because it’s fun." Here is the link for the RPG section of their forum.

They have a Group page!! Which I was really happy to see. They have 10 (listed) groups overall, the Kaori Basket groups; KB Red, KB Blue, KB Green, KB Yellow, KB Orange, KB Purple. Then there is also; HinaGIKUrabu, SEIKA, Hana☆Fubuki, & Jasmine Kaisei. And there also Oneshots listed on the Discography page along with all the singles from the different groups.

Kaori Basket also has a YouTube channel. Oh, and since the girls all use their idol names I have no clue who anyone is, lol. Maybe I'll learn them, idk. Anyways, moving on!

On their Home/Updates page, recent releases are listed with currently only one in April; Ikimasshoi! Red Miracle Night by Kaori Basket Red. It's the group's 2010 Winter Concert, consisting of 20 songs!

My computer does this lame thing sometimes, where mid-download it cuts off; but it tells me it's done. So I get like 1.4MB of a song and while listening it'll suddenly stop. It's done that twice already while trying to download the 1st track, Darling I LOVE YOU. *shakes fist*

YAY! Third time's the charm, or something. I've got it now.

Cast / Members ~
Tanaka Mariko (leader)
Tsuji Mai (subleader)
Takahashi Erika
Saho Tomomi
Fukuda Rina

Ohemgee, more awesome voices and amazing blending. I really like how the girls sound together. There was some minor off-timing and off-notes, but only like, four or something. idk I didn't count. Regardless, this is still a great dub. Overall good energy, and there were some lovely solos and duets. Some duos blended so well together! I adored all the "DAARIN DAARIN DAARIN I LOVE YOU"s. Very nice release~

Egah. With SnM & KB I have so much wonderful music I want to listen to. And I will get around to listening to more eventually. But! I'll work out some system (cause I'm such an organization freak) and I'll continue to cover from YT as I've been doing!

Sadly, many of the songs/singles aren't available for download yet. I kept seeing songs I wanted to hear, and then I'd be bummed when there was no MP3 up. But I did find this one!

Ogawa Aya (leader)
Kimura Atsuko (subleader)
Kikkawa Hitomi
Sengoku Koharu
Kumai Rie

Yume de Do-Up off of Kaori Basket Blue's Kurenai no Kisetsu single. I know this probably isn't the easiest song to sing/mix. With the "yume yume, yume no naka" parts being sung steadily while the verses are sung inbetween/overtop in a melody that oddly works with the backing vocals. It's sometimes difficult to sing the verse on beat, so that it will mix in properly with the rest of the song.

I give these gals props! Minor pitchiness, but all around a really swell dub. I bet I'd be pitchy too, trying to start out on the right note and sing on tempo correctly. I like this song, it's simple and pretty. The chorus was nice. I heard some very lovely notes, and even some vibrato. Not the most perfect dub ever, but still enjoyable.

Share with me!! (SnM)

Jess. ILU. kighjweffhejkfejkf ! Yuh, I usually stick to YouTube, cause it's how I discovered dubbing. But since then I've stumbled upon YoProject (thanks to Buggy) and it's more forum based. I adore downloading MP3s and everything doesn't need to be YT. I am so excited to learn of Sekai no Melody and Kaori Basket. How did I not know of these?!?

We'll start things off with SnM (as it's often shortened too)~ Their name is Japanese for “The World’s Melody”, which "describes precisely the focus of our goal." They have a little 'About Us' type of page that you can check out if interested. It actually says it all;

"Sekai no Melody is a long-running (est. December 2004) multilingual singing organization featuring people of all languages, ranges, abilities, skills, and interest. We not only sing Japanese, but also English, Korean, Spanish, French, Chinese, and many more! Simply speaking, Sekai no Melody is an interesting take on the regular same-old, same-old internet Jpop groups – we cover many genres and styles, so there is always something for everyone!"

I admit that I'm too lazy to sit here and count all of their members, since a number isn't listed. So let's just say they have a lot. Here is there Member page, in case you're wondering. There are six groups listed there; TarotCafe, Paratoile, Kristallen, ValeriA, Violetta, & PureAmbition.

If you head over to their Discography page, it's goodies galore! *grabby hands* I wanna download them alllll~ And also, there are more groups listed! Like Shuffle Groups & their SOLO! Project. But also; Language Teams, English! Project, Morning Melody, Sailor Melody, Anime! Project, Broadway! Project, BOYSTYLE! Project, & SNM48. *mini brain meltdown* So much I wanna check out ;w;

Anyways! They also have their own forum! And that is where I got this first dub from! I was poking about in there and stumbled upon SNM48's release of Aitakatta. I downloaded it and have been listening to it on repeat for a while now. Here is the thread on it, including the download link!

Cast list
Itano Tomomi - Kyttyee / Kojima Haruna - Sorachu
Maeda Atsuko - Rosie / Minegishi Minami - Miri
Nakanishi Rina - NekoYukai / Narita Risa - YamiRin
Ohe Tomomi - Solaire / Oshima Mai - Koichiyo
Shinoda Mariko - Elsa / Takahashi Minami - Alice
Tojima Hana - ayaka / Akimoto Sayaka - Umi
Kasai Tomomi - Maya / Kobayashi Kana - Kristy
Matsubara Natsumi - Shubi / Miyazawa Sae - Katie
Noro Kayo - Aqua / Oshima Yuko - kiko
Ono Erena - Zemire / Umeda Ayaka - lilmenchi

These names don't really mean much to me right now, since I don't think I know anyone. Well I know a Maya, but I don't know if it's the same girl. And I think I sort of know lilmenchi from YT. But regardless, I think they all deserved to be listed!!

jkbgeswjkgnjkgnrjkgn ! ! ! I LOVE this dub. Aitakatta is among my favorite AKB songs and I don't think I've ever heard a dub of it. These gals did flipping amazing! This song is such a group song, I don't think there are any solos; just a bunch of little groups and then the whole group & stuff. And this group of lovely singers did a fabulous job on the blending!!!

I can sort of hear someone on the lower harmonies aside from the group, but not in a stick-out way, just noticable. The higher-ish notes in the chorus were great! All of the lines were delivered very well, and the energy is awesome!! This dub is fan-freaking-tastic. If this were uploaded on the old YT I'd totally break the rating-thingy by giving them a kajillion stars~

OH! I almost forgot. I also uploaded Nanchatte Renai by PureAmbition. I saw it in the latest entry on SnM's homepage and couldn't resist, since I like this song a lot.

"PureAmbition’s latest release once again takes us down memory lane in a moving musical memento of a love story. From scorned love, to eternal love, this aptly-named release displays all the colours of love. Released March 17th, 2010."

01. Nanchatte Renai
02. Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni Natte Shimattan Darou
03. Tell Me Your Wish
04. Love Forever

Another superb dub!! I listened to this on repeat before and after listening to Aitakatta, lol. Many very lovely voices in this, and all the girls sang wonderfully. I really really like this, and I can't wait to listen to more stuff from SnM! Again, ILU Jess. Thanks for sending more amazing stuff my way.
