Poll; Kind of random this time. I've seen/heard a lot of First Kiss releases lately, and before that I was listening to a lot of downloaded Nanchatte Renai dubs. So, to say the least, I've listened to these two songs quite a bit. I was curious as to y'all's opinion.
Featured Dubs; I ended up with a theme of sorts- Korean & Mandarin. Rae and the AK dub are the former & Renna and the SnM dub are the latter. I wanted to add in another, but I thought four was taking up enough room, lol.
I started browsing about Kaori Basket's Discography page for more dubs to download, since they're next on my list to cover. I think I'm going to cycle through YouTube, SnM, AK & KB (and whatever else) so that I don't blog about any one too much. I'll always check YT first for Shared Vids and then go from there.
Kaori Basket Yellow Single (Released 10.08.09) Tracks; Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba, Ai no Tane, SONGS. Cover by Bakapai. Mixing by Hitomi Naoko. KB page + downloads. I've already covered something by KB Red and KB Blue, so I wanted to pick another group.

Kokuhaku no Funsui Hiroba / One of BK's catchy slower songs, I've always really liked the chorus, but the verses are nice too. And this little group of gals sound splendid singing it! I couldn't help swaying in my chair as I listened. This dub is very pretty. I've already listened to it like, seven times in a row. Repeated listenings let me get a good feel for the dub; I can say I listened enough to form an opinion.
I don't have a cast list for this, or really any KB releases. I tried looking in the forum, but no luck. There is a current member list, but I don't know if it's changed since '09. So props to whoever participated in this single. One of the girls reminds me of Zaachan from YT and someone else of a young Momoko. Just a little. They've all got their own unique voices, which blend together well.
But yeah, I really like this dub! There is a little pitchiness now and then, but nothing extreme. The solos were delivered well, which is good, since there are so many solos in this song. There actually isn't even one line where they all sing together; only solos and a few duet parts. This is enjoyable, and though not perfect, totally a keeper.

Ai no Tane / jkegfnejwkfnf. This and Morning Coffee are awesome songs from early Momusu, two I've always adored. I heard some very lovely lines in this dub- still some minor pitchiness; but it doesn't take away from the dub as a whole. I am totally loving the vibrato someone is using.
Yay for some group parts! The chorus was great! It's nice to hear the girls all together; their energy level was pretty good. With the parts being recorded seperately, there is always the possibility of lines not being completely together, and that happened a little bit here and there. But I think this turned out wonderfully~
