Motto Imouto

I have to have to have to have to
start this entry off with this;

Cast: Kiro, Asuka, Hikari, Stella, Ayumi

Shunkan Sentimental by Chiisai Otaku / OH MY kfjewjkfnejkn!! I am such a hardcore SCANDAL fan, and they are rarely groupdubbed! A lot of guitarists play their songs and sometimes you may find a solo cover- but not all that often. I about hyperventilated when I saw MI had sang this song. They have a little piece of my heart forever cause of this ;w;

Yeah yeah, the energy level could have been a lot higher, but I'm so flippin' excited about their song choice that I don't care. The chorus is my favorite part of this, because I love all of the trios and mini-groups the girls sing in! It's fabulous to me and I couldn't help rocking out. Also I think the energy is the best in the chorus~

LOL the other day my mom was by the computer cause I was looking something up for her, and she snagged one of my earbuds to listen to what I was listening to. Then for some reason or other I started playing the few videos I have, including one of SCANDAL's and I was naming the girls off and like; 'Mom, they're awesome. And her? That's Tomomi. I love her' - I love all of them though, they are epic individuals that make up one smashing whole.

Ahem, anyways [/fangirlness] So yeah, I'm pretty much over the moon about this dub. There are a lot of good solos, and I'm really glad these gals gave this song a go. Kiro's opening solo is fantastic- so strong, and I love her voice!! I have to say that Stella's energetic & kickbutt singing caught my attention, and I really like Hikari's solo at 2:56.

Everyone sang a lot throughout the song (yay for good scripting) forming different pairs and such, like marvelous sounding Asuka/Ki/Hi at 2:51. Though I would have liked to hear Ayumi solo more than just the small lines she had, she sounds really sweet at 2:36. Overall I got a happy high from listening to this, and would love to hear another SCANDAL song from Motto Imouto!

I had to get that excitedness out of my system, lol. And now that I have, on with more MI! They recently celebrated 50 subscribers with the above dub of Lucky Cha Cha Cha! It's super cute and a really fun listen! The girls did a sensational job on it! Congrats to them; I hope their number of fans continues to grow!

2010 Fall Concert
Go! Go! Gakuen (Part 1)

Boss-chama, Stella, NozoAi, Nichan,
Hikachi, Asuka, Hikari, Me-chan,
Kiro-chan, Superkagome, Ayumi

VTR + Manatsu no kousen & Happy Summer Wedding / YAY CONCERT! They're so much fun! Boss-chama apologized for what she did for the VTR, but I think it turned out nicely! I love that the text is easily readable and different colors! I also really like the info provided- dubbing is so cool because it unites people of all ages and nationalities!

Wow, I haven't heard the first song in a long time. I remember back when I first heard it and wrote about it on my H!PE blog, lol. I did not like it, but I must say that those "ENDORESU SAMAA"s have really grown on me. They sound marvelous in this, and they're probably my favorite part- besides the gorgeous blending!! The girls sound spectacular together!!

Muhaha, I used my super detective skillz to find the CClyrics for this!! Except I'm not sure if they are completely accurate, so please remember that if you refer to them. jfnejkwnfew, the solos are all outstanding! I love Nichan's "sore demo ii kka" at 2:19, but every solo is splendid! And then it's the next song~ohmygawd, those "Pala Pala Pa PA"s are SO CUTE!

I've always loved the "tousan kaasan arigatou" line in the first verse, and Hi/Ni/Bo (I think that's right) sing the first part spot on, with everyone joining in on the "arigatou" ~ Nozoai's manly "WAHAHA" totally made me laugh, and I love the full-cast "Fuwa Fuwa Fu"s! Overall, I like that the songs were a bit more uncommon, and I think Part 1 turned out wonderfully!!

Aya's Playlists / Misc Stuff

This is going to be my 'stuff I listen to a lot' entry, while I wait for my lame slow internet to load some more videos. I have a several playlists of dubs- when one gets too full I make a new one. I'm going to go through them and pick out the ones I've listened to a lot lately.

These aren't in any certain order, just random. I realize that many of these are featured on the right-hand side, but I wanted to include them in this anyways. They deserve some more plugging, so they're getting it. I won't list all the Femme Fatale dubs (lol) but I listen to those a ton as well.

Asu e no Kizuna by animezirow / I don't remember how I first discovered Sherry, but I know she's been in a few of my BTW solo version entries. A while ago I downloaded an album she put together of about ten dubs, zip file format making for an easy dl. I really like it, but lately I've been listening to this cover quite a bit.

I forgot how much I enjoyed it until I randomly was going through my dub mp3s looking for stuff I hadn't listened to in a while. Sherry is a wonderful singer that I suggest y'all give a listen to. She's in a few dubbing groups that I have yet to really look at, but you can check out her profile for links. This cover is marvelous~

Takahashi Ai: Sayuri [ xmikipinkux ]
Niigaki Risa: Ajisai [ homeschooledchick16 ]
Kamei Eri: Kanna [ tokidokihaato ]
Tanaka Reina: Suiren [ nephiminechan ]
Michishige Sayumi: Kinsenka [ shockingbuggy ]
Kusumi Koharu: Aoi [ chocolateblakberri ]
Mitsui Aika: Nadeshiko [ giselledesu ]
JunJun: Asagao [ yumeangel29 ]
LinLin: Kiri [ singingondemand ]

Aki Urara by Egao 9 (HanaProIndies) / Out of nowhere one day I was like "I LOVE YOU Aki urara" and that made me wonder if I had the mp3 for that dub, so I looked it up and it turned out I didn't! I downloaded it ASAP and have been listening to it lately. Before this Genki+ was a popular listen with me. E9 has a whole bunch of sensational dubs- there is some good stuff to be found on the Indies channel for Hana.

Star Star Star by X♡X♡ / I play the shit out of this dub. I can listen to it over and over and over again. It's exquisite. A masterpiece. I flat out love it. I was going to ask for the download, but then I got off my lazy butt after I realized that Liana probably made a thread in the yoproject forums for it. I struck luck, because not only did I find the mp3 for this dub, but also for X♡X♡'s Genie and Oh! - I downloaded all three and merged them with my Femme Fatale playlist, to make one smashing playlist of SNSD dubs.

Starduster by LovablexKarupin / I love Karu's singing. Or Ju-chan, as her girlfriend calls her in the video's drop-down section (aww). I hear her in a good amount of groupdubs from various projects and always drink her voice in greedily. Solos are even better in a way, because you get to hear her oodles and oodles! A lot of time when I hear her I think OMG CUTE JKFNJKF! So I really liked getting to hear her on something slow like this, where she really shines and sounds so pretty!

Chinatsu [ fandubzrmylife ]
Coco [ coconstorm ]
Kiro [ iaukiro ]
Nina [ animexlover28kat ]
Reika [ candyraver009 ]

Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago by Yuuyake (KiramekiDubs) / I've listened to this like, a dozen+ times today. The chorus' are nice, but I really enjoy the solos during the verses and pre-chorus. These girls sound so lovely and sweet, and them singing this song is very relaxing.

I'm really glad I downloaded this and it's mainly thanks to Chiyo! She fed me mp3s via MSN and though at the time I wasn't very attentive, I did finally sit down and listen to what she sent me. Kirameki has sounded like a promising dubbing group thus far, and I'll be glad to write more about them in the future! P.S- Their DESTINY LOVE dub is really good too.

Ogura Yui: Amaranth [faraBANG]
Ishihara Kaori: Amber [bibblebobble629]

Our Steady Boy by AmaBer (IroKokoro) / This is so adorable!! I love that these two dueted together! It took a few times for the song to grow on me, but I couldn't resist the cuteness that is AmaBer. I wonder if this was a one time thing, or if these subleaders will sing together again? Even if they don't, I can always listen to this wonderful dub whenever I want and there is lots of other stuff by IKP. I'm still addicted to Abracadabra and recently Sign. But if you're in the mood for something cute, this is for you!

Umeda Erika: Sayuri / Kappa [ xmikipinkux ]
Arihara Kanna: Aoi [ chocolateblakberri ]

Tsuugaku Vector by Gangsta Boo (HanaProIndies) / Yay! I love this dub! The song is really catchy, I adore the melodies. I love Aoi to pieces and this is one of my fave -smaller cast- dubs (off the top of my head at least) that Kappa's been in. The chorus is awesome, and all of the solos sound superb! There is a download link, so if you like it, get the mp3!

It's back on the first dub playlist I made, second from the top- over about the past week and a half I've taken to playing it more often, cause I like it so much. I believe this is the only duet they've done together (if there is another, somebody let me know!) and I'd love to hear them together again!

Eyes On Me by ChiiAyu / I think everyone likes something like Final Fantasy deep down. Maybe you mainly like the music, or you like the storylines and characters. You love to play or read fanfiction about it. Whatever whichever. I like a lot of the songs used in video games as well as some animes but I don't really play or watch.

This is a really pretty song and I loved Ayuchan's version of it so much I pleaded for a mp3. This is part of her Niji iro Kanji Video Collection in celebration of her first dubbing anniversary. I'm a bit behind on the latest parts she's released, but I will catch up! I've been stuck on this cover lately, because it's beautiful. Y'all should check out all of the parts done so far, cause Karen is a terrific singer/dancer.

Kamei Eri: Katie & Serenyty
Mitsui Aika: Yumiko
Kumai Yurina: Hinaki
Okai Chisato: Ameimi

Oujisama to Yuki no Yoru
by Totally Up! Project / This is sweet, cute and lovely all mixed together- I love the differences in vocals. Each girl is unique and delightful to listen to in her own way. I like the song a lot, maybe not the "lonely love"s so much (if that's what they're saying and that's the song though, not the singers). The solos and chorus are splendid! I really like this a lot, it's lovely! It's the 10th track in TU!'s current concert, y'all should look into it if you haven't yet.

TANE: Boo-chan, Nozo and Boss
GuruGuru JUMP: Nichan, Nikki and Nozo

MottoImouto Summer Shuffle 2010! Part One / I've always loved the song Tane so I mini-freaked when I saw that it was the first song. And I've come to really like GURU because of this dub. Thanks to Malice and Boss for sending me stuff by MI. I go around singing "owatta koi dake ga TANE ni naru" and "Nee nee hora" etc & "OH DAARIN Motto motto motto GURUGURU Datte datte datte GURUGURU" lol. I love it.

This two-tracked mp3 (or video, depending) is kickbutt. I love both dubs and all of the singers. This was at the top of my most recent playlist, but it's been bumped down to second by Sign. I listen to it quite a bit because it's fun and I always want to sing along. Is part two out yet? idk, I'll have to look!! Thanks again to Malice for the mp3!

Saying I Love You by / I love Suzumi so much for giving me the download for this. I'd never talked to her or anything, she could have been wary and told me no. But she was flattered and said yes, thus making me very happy! I read something on a dubber's profile not too long ago that said something about how you shouldn't tell people they're good if they aren't. That it isn't nice to encourage them and build up their hopes.

I think that's true to a certain degree. If you're wanting to become a serious performer or recording artist, then yes, you've got to be good. But even though the world of dubbing can be dramatic because some people make it so, I think the majority of people are in it for the fun of it. And so when I listen to dubs, it's for my pure enjoyment and I understand that the humans singing aren't going to be perfect all the time. Small errors are no big deal.

This isn't the most incredible cover ever and I'd never heard Suzumi prior to this. But I fell in love with this after a few listens and I play the mp3 constantly. There are some iffy parts and even one spot that is pretty pitchy. But I "pfftpwsh" it and just enjoy the cover as a whole. I shall keep encouraging dubbers to sing if it's what makes them happy, and derive as much pleasure as I can from the experience of listening, interacting and blogging.

HAATOx2

MottoImouto Summer Shuffle 2010! Part One

Omg I was like 'la la la *video loading, type type*' and then played it and heard "OWATTA KOI DAKE GA TANE NI NARU" and just like that I was instantly excited!! I LOVE this song, and I completely adore no3b / No Sleeves! Well, Haruna isn't my favorite, but Takamina rocks and Miichan is so cute! I've only heard maybe two dubs of this song, so I'm happy to see it as a song choice!

Boo-chan, Boss, Nozo

Tane by MO3 / Boss has the first solo, and an awesome one it is! I love the melodies in this song, so upbeat, cute and catchy! Boo (0:10) and Nozo (0:11ish) each have a little solo in the beginning as well, but they're too short to say much about, though they do give you a preview of the girls' voices.

Freaking geesh, I am so loving this cast! The next set of solos -starting at 0:28- are all fabulous! Boss is very lovely, Boo super pretty, and Nozo's marvelous mature sound may not suit Miichan's part but it sure suits my ears just fine!! I really like the "HAATO no" at 0:45, which sounds like it's sung by all three together.

Since it didn't show names during the speaking part, I didn't want to assume that the girls had done those parts, but the moment I listened to them I was sure that they had. While Boo could probably pass as Takamina, Boss and Nozo sound different than the original singers; though I have no complaints about that. I like hearing dubbers as themselves, in whatever role they're casted as! All of the talking (starting at 0:50) sounds wonderful and quite endearing.

I love the chorus melody in this song!! The first full time through is at 1:02, and these girls make an awesome trio; they blend spectacularly! After that the girls take turns soloing; I don't think any of them are my favorite- they all are! Each of them does a smashing job on their lines and their overall energy level is terrific!

Boo's (1:07) vocals are impressive! She's incredibly lovely+sweet and I love listening to her. Nozo (1:13ish) is irresistible! She blows my mind a little with her mellow (smooth, rich, mature) sound! I really like that no3b got good line division in this song! Boss has 10 solos (6 average, 4 short), Nozo has 11 (6 average, 5 short), and Boo has 7 but only one of them is short. I love that you get a good chance to hear all of them because of this!

The group "sayu yo" at 1:21 is great ! Right after that it's back to Boss on the second verse, she's so gooood! I adore her "wasurete" and "wasurerarenai" but her solo in entirety is sensational! She's followed by Boo, who always sings with emotion and wins your affection in a heartbeat with her enchanting singing. I like Nozo's "kimochi mo" in her 1:36 solo, though I think she shines more on the chorus. All of the girls deliver splendidly!!

1:47 is more epic speaking lines, sort of an unsung pre-chorus. Well if you include the fantastic group "egao wo misete yo" then it's partially sung. However you think of it, there's more brilliant chorus at 1:59! The amazingness of this cast together makes me wish that this song was more of a balance between solos and group, rather than so many solos. But regardless I still adore the song and this dub! Solos in the second chorus are; Boo (2:04), Nono (2:10, 2:16ish), Boss (2:15).

After the little instrumental break it's Boss at 2:36, golly she sounds dazzlingly delightful! I've always liked the parts in songs right after the break when there is usually less music; cause you really hear the singers. Following is Boo (2:41) and then Nozo (2:47), both of them outstanding!! 2:59ish is the last round of chorus, and it's as awesome as all the rest, especially the ending "sayu yo" ~

Though I must say that echo noise reminds me of the sound you'd hear in a Super Nintendo version of Mario, lol. Random. Anyways! I really immensely enjoyed this!! I strongly suggest y'all give it a listen, cause it's so worth it.

Nikki, Nichan, Nozo

GuruGuru JUMP! by Furushafuru / Those outfits are anything but SEKUSHII, poor Momusu girls. Are those a bunch of mini hats sewed on a fluffy dress or something? Anyways, I've heard this song maybe once before, and while it's not a mega favorite it is pretty cool. Nozo I am now familiar, because of her part in the first song. As far as I know, I am new to Nikki and Nichan. So let's get to knowing them, at least vocally.

3:50 is Nozo on the opening solo, short but terrific! Nichan follows and I totally love her energy!! Nikki at 3:56, she has more of a subtle energy, and she's sometimes quietish but she sounds swell. Ohmygosh, I really like the pre-chorus of this song and Nichan does an kickbutt job on it, like at 4:12- I love her "nee"s! She sings strongly and is fantastic! No/Nik duet at 4:15 and they're marvelous.

I like the group "OH DAARIN" at 4:27ish right after the fun "JA JA JUMP" etc parts. The chorus of this song is actually pretty cool too; I like the melody and the upbeatness. I like Nikki way more on it than the verses, such as her "mottox3 GURUGURU" at 4:29. I also like Nichan's "dattex3 GURUGURU" a lot - both girls are cute. 4:39ish is Nik/Nic, who sound incredible together!! They blend so well! I like their "ENJERU-tachi ga"

The verses are kind of boring for me overall. Song wise, and thus dub wise, but it's not the girls, it's the melody. Certain parts of the second verse are cute or catch my attention. They are Nichan's "GENKI no nage KISSU" at 5:15, Nikki's "desho" at 5:20, and Nozo's "Hara ga hette wa Iroke mo hangenssu"at 5:25. And then it's more epic pre-chorus, with those "nee nee" parts by Nichan! And I like the No/Nik duet more this time around (5:31), as well as their "KAMON"!

The melody of the first two lines in the chorus is my fave part of the chorus. I'm happy that they weren't always by the same girl(s)! Nozo has the "mottox3 GURUGURU" and Nikki the "dattex3 GURUGURU" ~ I love both solos!! I also like the duet at 5:56, which is by No/Nik this time; they sound magnificent! The "JAN JA JUMP" (6:21) parts that repeat over and over, building up with each round are fabulous!

In the 6:31ish chorus, Nichan has the first solo followed by Nozo. Then the last two solos are by Nikki- her "you da wa" is pretty. It's actually my least favorite round of the chorus; the other ones sound more energetic than this one does. But it's all great overall! The group "HAATO wo itomete yo" at 6:53 is wonderful! I have to say that I adore the pre-chorus' and the first half of the chorus' the most in this dub, but the girls did a smashing job on all parts!

MI [Shoutbox request]

I know nada about this group. Malice asked me to look at it, so I am. And there isn't much info to be found about MI either. There forum has no 'About' thread, and all their channel tells us is, "How it works : Girls nominate songs, pick songs, then volunteer for chosen songs. EVERYONE GETS A SAY!"

MI's been around since about mid-February of this year (first release 02/26), and since then have released a total of 20 dubs. Their groups are; Synth★Shimai (Vocaloid), I★DOLL (Jpop), Chiisai★Otaku (Anime), D:aisuki (Games), Saisei★Jikan (Children's Music), and ★AkibaChan★ (Youtube"/"NiconicoDouga hits). Their latest release;

CAST in order of solos:
Me-chan (3rd Gen)
Nozo (2nd Gen)
Boss (1stGen)
Kiro (1stGen)

IKUZE!! Kaitou shoujo! by AKIBAChan / I am forever ruined (in a good way) when it comes to this song, for IKP's version will always come to mind when I think of it or Momoiro. So I'm not going to write about this in detail because my opinion is probably kind of skewed and I'll be trying not to compare. Overall, some minor things could be better, but this is nice.

~Glancing back through MI's dubs I found this;

Asu-nyan
Boss-Chama
Hikari

Over The Future by ChiisaiOtaku / CClyrics / Frick do I love this song!! I have a weakness for Karen Girl's...I've searched down like, every song they've ever sung, digging for MP3s. My favorites from them are this song, My Wings and, er...another song I can't remember the name of, lol. But sadly, they've only ever had two PVs and then were no more ;w; SO YEAH I don't think I've ever heard a fandub of their stuff and I was instantly excited to see that MI had done this!

Ohgee, you know how as you listen to something, you often start to like it more? I've listened to this several times now, and have also done some jumping around and I like it more now than when I first heard it. The energy level is actually pretty good. At first I was thinking; MOA. But it's at a nice level, though somewhat subtle at times. A little bit more umph! would be cool overall.

These three hit some very nice notes togethers! Like at 0:09 in the very beginning line, the "KANJI" by Bo/Hi is wonderful and has nice blending. & though they're kind of quiet singers (more so Hikari and Asu than Boss), the girls are very sweet+cute sounding. With the way this is scripted (refer to lyrics), it's mainly all duets with a handful of solos and the chorus sung by all. It's setup so each girl has three solos; yay for fairness!

Boss is the strongest singer of the group. She has a lovely voice and her solos are marvelous. I adore her at 0:35 and 2:04, and I really like her "Yes Change the World" solo at 0:54. Asu hits her lower notes (0:41 and 1:58 solos) quite well. It seems like you don't hear her a lot, but it's probably cause two of her solos are kind of short. She has a more mature voice better suited to middle/low notes, as you can hear some slight strain on her 3:38 solo, she's also pitchy too. But! Her ending "you" turned out splendidly.

I don't know how to describe Hikari's singing, but she sounds nice, like on her 0:48 solo. She's got a cute voice with this underlying matureness? At 2:11, her "don't" is a little off, but her "way" turned out swell. I think my fave from her is 1:51 though, she sounds real good. The verses are cool and all, but I like the pre-chorus and chorus the most. The groups parts are wonderful, and I'm mainly happy that this was dubbed at all!!

MiniMoni Hinamatsuri
Superkagome, Ayumi--x, Asuka & Boss

Seishun Love Lunch!
Nozo Ai, Hikari, Asuka & Boss

Mr Moonlight
Stella, Kiro & Boss

Spring Shuffle 2010 / I really enjoyed this, but it would probably take me forever to write about this, cause it's almost 11 minutes long. It's the full versions of all three songs, so the length makes sense, but I spent a while on Over the Future (lol) and I need to be moving on. But I definitely recommend y'all give this a listen! I think the MiniMoni dub/cast is my favorite; I think it turned out the best. But Seishun and Mister are good too!
