MS & HPC

This is so fun/adorable! I really like that Milky Star does introductions or mini-interviews, whatever you wanna call'em. This is the official welcome to the Generation 6 members who were chosen from the Diamond Six Auditions. They officially joined MS in mid-January and debuted in the 11th single, Do It! Now, in April. But in this dub it's only Gen 6 and you get a good listen of all three gals voices.

Sakura (as Natsuyaki Miyabi)
Nai (as Suzuki Airi)
Miyako (as Akari Saho)

AHA! What's the poll? Yume to Genjitsu! I love this song SO much. And these gals did an awesome job on it! Nai has great energy/emotion and delivered her lines well. Miyako was a little on the soft side, but she has a incredibly sweet voice. I'd like to hear her with a little more umph! Sakura sounds lovely and has good energy, some very nice notes. I want to hear more of all three before I really form opinions, so I will wait eagerly for the next release that they participate in. Congrats to Gen 6!

Morning Coffee by helloprochorus / Participating singers; Renna, Boo, Meche, Rin, Aura, Dani, Eva, DcGoddess, Fae, Phiy, Chiemi, Moni, Kokoro, Nao, and Michiko. A total of fifteen.

Freaking A, I adore this. The group parts are so good!! Sure, once in a while you hear it when two people clash a little cause one of'em is singing a slightly off note, but nothing too bad. I really love how so many people took part in this, really making it a chorus dub of the song.

The solos were nice also, but the group parts really won me over. Morning Coffee is still one of my fave Momusu songs, with all the different parts overlapping, and the melody is so pretty. So big time props to HPC doing such a fabulous job. I sort of want to hear a version with no solos, all chorus. I know it'd be epic. But I am happy enough listening to the wonderful blending in this dub~

Aa sou da yo sou da wa !

AsunaSasaki shared a dub by this group with me, and funny enough I was talking to Fae on MSN earlier and she asked me if I'd ever listened to Hello Pro Chorus. Their YT page leaves much to be desired, information wise. And there is no info about the group to be found on their forums either, at least not that I can find. My computer doesn't seem to like their forum host or something.

How ever, the drop-down in their audition videos say quiet a bit. They're "essentially a group similar to nico nico douga where a large cast gets to sing together. This is a joint project between 9 producers/mixers and we accept 95-100% of auditioners. We also try to give everyone at least 1 solo (regardless of singing ability)."

As for auditioning, "You are not auditioning for a longterm project, but for only 1 song each time. Since the songs are generally managed by different producers and mixers, the only thing that you keep when (going) to complete another song is your image tag.

Also your audition will be the lines you turn in for the single, therefore auditioning is like turning in your lines. What you submit will be judged and put into the chorus song, so when you submit, it must be the designated/required lyrics in acapella format."

Big groups of people singing together just for fun. Instead of being apart of a group within a project, it's just one big always-changing group. Interesting. And "Since it is a song at a time, if there is a song you don't know or can't sing you don't have to participate in that single." Which is really cool.

As far as I know, HPC is covering the three main groups of H!P; Momusu, Berryz and C-ute. They've released their first by MM (Morning Coffee), and two indies by C-ute (Massara Blue Jeans & Soku Dakishimete). The first Berryz release is currently being mixed (Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai). The plan is to start from the beginning and work forward covering all of the H!P releases by these three groups.

Clicking the image above will direct you to HPC's release of Soku Dakishimete on YT. A total of eighteen people participated; Nao, Xiang, Jay, Chiyo, Ayaka, Mena, Carlos, xMiyachan, Michiko, Chiemi, Dahisuke, Ryo, Meche, Moni, Kokoro, Hitomi, Renna, Lilmenchi. Everyone was split into 3 groups and alternated lines. Since there are so many people, there are no solos; only duets.

Since every took part just for fun I won't break this down any, plus I'd go crazy commenting on all the different duets. It's a very enjoyable dub and I'm glad I looked into HCP. They may not be the best, but they are happy dubbers just doing their thing. It was cool to hear some guys in the mix, they sounded really good. And all of these lovely ladies did a wonderful job.

Props to all participants. I'll be keeping an eye out for more from Hello Pro Chorus. And just for fun, here is the other C-ute chorus release, Massara Blue Jeans, which is freaking awesome *wants MP3* Enjoy!
