Hah, I started to do a mini-BTW entry, cause it was already late and I didn't think I'd have time for anything else. I got one dub into it and then on this next one I kept on writing, until I decided to just give it it's own entry! Work + The Amazing Race kept me from blogging more than this today, but there is always other days~
Shimizu Saki : Kuri [MonkiiSuki]
Tsugunaga Momoko : Arisu [RaReiRoo]
Tokunaga Chinami : Lily [SytheMeisterLily]
Sudou Massa : Aiko [ReinaLoverai]
Natsuyaki Miyabi : Natsumi [KonataIzumi124]
Kumai Yurina : Ayuna [AyunaDaisuki]
Sugaya Risako : Chinatsu [fandubzRmylife]
VERY BEAUTY by Kagayake Koubou (Honki Project) / I am a Berryz fan. I am not a Very Beauty fan though. This song has never really grown on me. I like it, but at the same time I just don't care to listen to it. I've never really thrilled to hear dubs of it either, but I'm always willing to give stuff a go- regardless of my tastes. And in this case, I'm happy I did!
This isn't by any means perfect, but it's...endearing. I like that the girls sang this song, even though it's well known for it's high notes. They sound extremely sweet, and really charmed me. Chinatsu did a splendid part on the opening solo, I especially like her "sameta toki ni wa" ~ I love her mature voice! I picked out Natsumi as Miyabi before I looked at the castlist. I find her so so...I wanna squeeze her cause I adore how she sounds! I've come to know her singing pretty well and I think her solo is swell!
Ayuna sounds magnificent on her solo! She has a unique sound that I really like, and I think her lines are great! Her "shiteru" (2:32) is so good!! I don't know what word to use, but just add a ton of so's in front of that 'good' and you've got it. I love her little bit of vibrato!- it's only one word, but it's exquisite sounding to me. And ohmygosh, I LOVE Lily's "Sore ga onna yo" at 3:18ish!! She's so kawaii!! Freakin' epic. I haven't even mentioned the group parts yet!
The Na/Chi & Ay/Ari duets in the chorus are spectacular! They blend crazy awesomely! The girls all tackled the high notes well, so props to them! I really like Kuri in the pre-chorus mini-groups, along with Aiko, Lily and Arisu. Every singer contributed to that part of the song, and they're fabulous. The most win thing about this dub for me has got to be the full-cast lines in the chorus. They're so pretty ;w; Despite the song choice, I really enjoyed listening to this dub!!

Misc [H] Project Releases
Reika [ candyraver009 ]
Jess [ lilmenchi ]
Awai [ madleybloomingstar ]
Ash [ diabolicbread ]
*Hello Stage ~ Take It Easy by Kuusai / Ohmy H!S, it's been a while. This is a darling song and these girls did a fabulous job on it! I'd love to have some CClyrics, since it's a trio scripted to four people, but since I am without, I shall simply enjoy listening! The chorus is awesome!! I love everyone together, they sound so good!! The "shinging"s are terrific, as well as the many verse and prechorus solos.
Not sure if I'm matching names and voices up correctly, but- Reika and Awai are very cute & Ash and Jess sound lovely. All of the higher notes are well managed, and though the timing is a tiny bit iffy sometimes the mixing seems fine to me. The chorus is my favorite, but the dub overall is splendid!
Cast: Reika, Sara
Scarlett, Yumi, Shinju
*Hoshizora Dubs ~ Shabondama by Nikkou / Maya sent the MP3 of this to me not too long ago and I downloaded it then. I've listened to it a few times since, but I'll admit that I'm not crazy about this song (it's been a popular song choice lately though, eh?)- Nonetheless, this is a sensational dub! Oodles of energy and kickbutt singing! The lovely ladies that make up the cast sound magnificent! I love all of the "Shabondama"s! I may not being saying much about this dub (mainly because I wrote about this song somewhat recently) but it's definitely worth a listen!!
Sootie (SootjeNL)
Rii (AzNxRawRx)
Alie (AlieOngaku)
*Hanabi Project ~ Kacchoii ze! JAPAN by Hana-Bi-N / CClyrics / "If it wasn't for Alie graduating then I would have made these three a permanent group, they sound so good together!" I happen to agree with Hanabi's leader! The "KACCHOII ZE"s throughout the dub are swell but I like other parts more. Such as both of the "VERY VERY" solos; 'wonderful love' at 0:47 and 'beautiful kiss' at 2:13. All of the solos inbetween the group parts are marvelous! It's hard to pick out a few that I like from among them.
I think I'll go by girl, starting with Sootie! I think my favorite from her is at 1:20. I love her mature lovely voice, and she sounds great on the melody of the line, I especially like her ending "aru" ~ she hits the higher 'ru' wonderfully! I also really like her "sukoshi no magokoro areba ii" solo at 2:48 and her "subarashii machi" at 3:37!
Rii is such a cutie!! Though she's a little quiet in volume, her lines are all really sweet! I like her 1:44 solo, especially her "areba ii" ~ Then there's her "WELCOME TO MY TOWN" at 2:17, gosh she's so kawaii! I love how she sounds on "town" with that little bit of adorable attitude. And I also really like her "daisuki na machi" solo at 2:44!
Alie rocks! She's a strong singer that delivers well and sounds great, which you can really hear in her "WELCOME WELCOME" at 0:49! I also like her "sore ha yaranakya hajimaranai" at 2:24, her 'nai' is a soft but pretty. And I like her last solo of the song, her "sukoshi no magokoro areba ii" at 3:45. The girl are great individually and as a group, and overall I think this turned out really well!
Shimizu Saki : Kuri [KuriDesu27]
Tsugunaga Momoko : Arisu [RaReiRoo]
Tokunaga Chinami : Lily [SytheMeisterLily]
Sudou Massa : Kim [Miriko96]
Natsuyaki Miyabi : Natsumi [KonataIzumi124]
Kumai Yurina : Ayuna [AyunaDaisuki]
Sugaya Risako : Chinatsu [fandubzRmylife]
*HonkiProject ~ Otakebi Boy WAO by Kagayake Koubou / Lovely. Pretty. Ear-pleasing. This dub is many things! But this song is one that packs a punch & calls for a lot of WAO and I'm not hearing it. The girls don't sound bored, but they could definitely step up the energy. Don't get me wrong, they all seriously sound amazing!! Clear, cute, charming! Most certainly enjoyable. But this dub is lacking fervor. I love the cast dearly and look forward to hearing them again.
Saki: Ayuna [AyunaDaisuki]
Momoko: Kaede-chan [lolypop227]
Chinami: Kurichii [KuriDesu27]
Maasa: Kate-chan [PirateCool192]
Miyabi: Eun Mi [eunmijjang]
Yurina: Kanny [kannychan21]
Risako: Kate-chan [PirateCool192]
*HanaEmiProject ~ Yuke Yuke Monkey Dance by Bouken Berryz / I'm not a big fan of this song, but I actually enjoyed this dub a lot! I love the "TIKI TIKI TIKI"s and the Bouken girls sound really good on all the melodies and parts. Kate is fantastic on lead vocals & she and Kuri are marvelous on the solos following the "EBIBADE" lines.
I really like Eun Mi on Miyabi's part, and Kaede isn't always clearly understandable. You don't get much of a chance to hear Ayuna or Kanny, but their short solos are swell and they -and everyone else- contributed to the spectacular group parts! *downloads* I like this! Yeah maybe there could have been a little bit more energy, but I still think this turned out nicely!

HONKI
There's sooooo much I wanna blog about ;w; Honki Project has come out with so much since I last blogged about them. So I'm going to give you a few dubs, by Ohayou Musume~
Takahashi Ai : Natsumi [KonataIzumi124]
Niigaki Risa : Usagii [Usagii1996]
Kamei Eri : Ayuna [AyunaDaisuki]
Michishige Sayumi : Mystery [xLittleMystery]
Tanaka Reina : Mai [dblingchiu]
Kusumi Koharu : Dee [cinnabun101]
Mitsui Aika : Kuri [KuriDesu27]
Jun Jun : Hanna [yascun94]
Lin Lin : NCK [NCKamo]
Mikan / Released July 16, 2010 / The minute I started loading, I already had the melody of this song in my head, cause it's so freaking catchy. Overall this turned out nicely. The energy level is good, but I think the amount of umph! could be better. There were a few times when some people sang their lines a little off time, but nothing real off.
The group parts are the best part!! I adore the blending- this cast sounds so nice together! The volumes sound great to me, no one stuck out and no part of the dub is too loud. My favorite part is the chorus; raburabu. Without a doubt, this is a very cute dub!! A few things could use a little work, but those aside, this is splendid.
Naichau Kamo / July 05, 2010 / Goodness do I love this song. Though sadly Ai & Reina dominate, solo wise. The verses are marvelous, Mai and Natsumi did a good job on their parts. Though she only has two solos, I like Mystery in this (like at 0:47). You do get to hear Usagii at 3:01 & also Ayuna around 0:47, she's sweet+fantastic!!
As for the rest of the girls (De, Ku, Ha, N), they all participate in the various duets, trios, and other group parts & contribute to the overall sound of the dub- which is fabulous! Again, the chorus is the win part of this for me. I like hearing people sing together, plus the melody rocks! Many of the high notes throughout are strained, but I give the gals props for giving'em a go.
I love the "Aa anata"s in this. My favorite parts, hands down, are the group parts during the chorus. The two groups are; Na/Us/My/De/Ha and Ay/My/Ma/Ku/N. Song choice does play a small part in how much I get into a dub, I adore this song, but it's more than that, this group did a nice job on Naichau Kamo~
Shouganai Yume Oibito / Released July 31, 2010 / Misaki is covering for Kuri in this dub, and she's so quiet! But props to her for covering and helping out, even though she's new to singing in Japanese. I really like Ma/De's duet lines, they sound terrific together!! The Ha/N duets are quite pitchy, and in true Momusu fashion, there are no Jun or Lin solos. I think this song suits Natsumi, I like her a lot on the melodies in this (like 0:40 & 1:23).
Us, My, & Ma get a few solos each, and they all sound wonderful. Ayuna commented on how she's hard to hear, and I agree that she is a little on the quiet side, volume wise. But threatening to leave, in public? That seems like a PM convo to me, not something to be discussed in comments. Even so, I like her a lot. She has a very pretty voice; both her solos are good, though I especially like her at 3:01.
The high notes are pretty swell in this! Though I'd like a little bit more energy overall -a stronger delivery from some- Aside from that and volumes that could use some tweaking, this is lovely. Mixing is a learning process. And as for dubbing, practice brings progress. It's all about enjoyment.
Osaka Koi no Uta / Released July 08, 2010 / CClyrics / I love this song. I know I say that about a lot of songs, but really, it's an awesome song. And I actually really like the PV for it. As far as this dub goes though, it needs a lot more energy!! There aren't any group parts, it's all solos, and the majority of them are lacking in umph! The girls have pretty good emotion, but nothing to back it. Nothing sounds bad, but with more energy this would be much more fun to listen to.

Misc
Shimizu Saki : Kuri [KuriDesu27]
Tsugunaga Momoko : Arisu [RaReiRoo]
Tokunaga Chinami : Lily [SytheMeisterLily]
Sudou Massa : Diana [lily14895]
Natsuyaki Miyabi : Natsumi [KonataIzumi124]
Kumai Yurina : Kiro [Iaukiro]
Sugaya Risako : Chinatsu [fandubzRmylife]
Rival by Kagayake Koubou (HonkiProject) / D'aw, the beginning is too cute!! I love the "Go Go Fight!"s a lot and the part at 0:16 is fantabulous! I really like this group as, well, a group, lol. The overall blending is ear pleasing, and the girls are all a delight to listen to; on their solos as well as on the small and full group parts. 0:48 is Chinatsu, who could maybe use a bit more energy overall, but delivered well; her first "nee" is pretty.
Ohmygosh, Arisu follows and she is freaking adorable awesome pretty, on this solo and her others! Blew my mind a little bit really. And 1:04 is her and Ki dueting; I love it! I also really like Ku/Na on the first part of the pre-chorus; I don't know who's who, but the mature voice is lovely and the other is quite kawaii though a smidge pitchy. It took me a moment to pick her out of the duets, but Diana has a rather odd way of singing, some funky vibrato, a pinch pitchy, not very smooth lines. Though she's got good energy.
1:56 is Natsumi, I'd like to hear her with a bit more energy, but I really like her vocals and think she did an all around marvelous job on her lines. I adore 2:18! Li/Chi make an awesome duo, they sound so good together!! I really like Kiro's little speaking part at 2:26, and her solo back at 1:33 is terrific! Ohh, the "Habatakou" by Ku/Ar/Li/Chi at 3:21 is wonderful! The blending epic! And then the dub ends with more of the fabulous parts from the beginning.

Umeda Erika : Noëlle
Yajima Maimi : Kohana
Murakami Megumi : Youshu
Nakajima Saki : Iimo
Arihara Kanna : Maëlyss
Suzuki Airi : Sanako
Okai Chisato : Mizugachi
Hagiwara Mai : Ran-chan
Soku Dakishimete by °K irei (karaproject) / I've always really liked this song, but really, like so many other C-ute songs; Maimi and Airi get the majority of the lines along with Megumi (since she was still around then). So there aren't solos by a variety of girls to comment upon, though they do have many duets. Kohana, Sanako and Youshu do a nice job on their lines. All three have pretty good energy and sound splendid.
It sounds like some people's mics aren't the best, the dub is often staticy and the volumes seem like they could be better mixed. Group parts are especially loud and fuzzy- perhaps part of it because some mics are being topped out, or something else? And 2:31, lines go back and forth between the right and left headphones....? Kind of random. Also, the video is off time with the audio, not that that's super important though.
Noëlle, Iimo, Maëlyss, Mizugachi, and Ran-chan all did a marvelous job on the duets and other group parts. Overall, from what little I know of it, the mixing could use some work. But the girls themselves sound wonderful to me. Maybe a sinch more energy from some of them would be cool, but I think they did fairly well.

Singers: (In Order of Hearance) ~
Aly, Micchy, Kaorin, Reevchan, Mati5fooly
Ookina Ai de Motenashite by Haru (KisetsuProject) /Wow, the "ooki na ai de motenashite" parts in this are sweet! I do hear one or two girls more than the rest at times though. No CClyrics, so I'm only going to go through the first five solos. I don't plan out each day, sometimes I have ideas beforehand, but mostly I just look at what I've recieved for requests and shared vids, check out lists I've made from my subs and figure it out from there. I don't have time to PM ahead of time to ask for them.
0:22 is Aly, you can tell she almost had a bit of trouble with the higher notes, but she managed them well and sounds cute+good. Next at 0:28 is Micchy, she's a little pitchy on the second half of her solo, but the first part is really great and overall she's darling. I like the duet at 0:34 a lot, whoever it's by. All of the duets in this dub turned out pretty good.
0:46 is Kaorin, she sort of whisper sings her lines and I think it may be partially because this part of the song is a bit high. I'd like to hear her with more umph! But from what I can tell, she has a lovely voice. Reevchan at 0:58, she's pitchy here and at other times in the song, but in this solo I like her "otona yori" ~ And lastly 1:10 is Mati, she rushed her line and is a little off, key wise, but this is such a short solo that I don't have a lot to go off of. She sounds pretty cute though.
The mixing sounds okay, but that doesn't mean much coming from me, lol. Even with the amount of pitchiness in this dub, I give the girls props for contributing to and putting it together. There are quite a few of really nice notes and the group parts sound terrific. I adore all of the extra little things, like the "oh yeah oh yeah"s ~ and again, I think the "ooki na ai..."s are swell.

"BAKA"
Takahashi Ai : Natsumi [KonataIzumi124]
Niigaki Risa : Usagii [Usagii1996]
Kamei Eri : Kiro [Iaukiro]
Michishige Sayumi : Mystery [xLittleMystery]
Tanaka Reina : Mai [dblingchiu]
Kusumi Koharu : Dee [cinnabun101]
Mitsui Aika : Kuri [KuriDesu27]
Jun Jun : Hanna [yascun94]
Lin Lin : NCK [NCKamo]
Onna ni Sachi Are by Ohayou Musume (HonkiProject) / Dee starts the dub off well, though I don't know if it's her mic? but it seems like her lines could sound clearer. Natsumi follows at 0:32, and I really like her. Maybe a sinch more umph! would be cool, but she sounds good. Kuri at 0:38, I remember her from Take It Easy, and I think she her cuteness is more bareable in this dub; cute but not too cute.
0:50 and the next few lines after sound a little off-time- the duet doesn't flow very well and the part after sounds a bit rushed? Something. 1:03 is just funky; there is some dischord there. Mai is adorable at 1:12, but she could use more energy. Sometimes not all of the lines, er, line up together. Could be individual people's timing or due to mixing, idk. There is some pitchiness and wrong notes here and there throughout the dub, but nothing awful.
Usagii at 1:49, lovely voice and nice line, but could use more PAWAA, more umph! Skipping over a lot of the chorus and such, at 3:24 is Kiro - her solo is small so it's hard to form an opinon of her, especially since it's her only one, but I like what I hear. Hanna at 3:30, who sounds good but not very enthusiastic. And then NCK follows; a nice mature voice, but pitchy. Omg, Mystery doesn't get one solo in this!! Well I've her her before and I know she contributed to this dub as a whole!
Overall, everyone needs to sing with more ENAJII! This is a song about guys and stupidness and 'someday happiness will come' kind of thing. Even if you don't relate to the song, just pretend you do so you can sing out those "BAKA ne BAKA ne BAKA ne"s and sing all passionate and have fun with the "Aa"s. Lol, I'm rambling. This was nice, but could have been better. Practice makes progress! I give them all props for 'taking a whack at' this. (And I mean that in a good way!)

Honki Takes It Easy!

Much like the above banner - which is freaking adorable - Honki's forums are very cute and colorful. However, not very informative when it comes to learning about the project itself. There is some release information, but not much. As for groups, as far as I know, there are a total of five; Ohayou Musume, Kagayake Koubou, °K-irei, E/gao, and Yume! And as for the last group, here is their latest release;
Tsugunaga Momoko : Kuri [KuriDesu27]
Natsuyaki Miyabi : Natsumi [KonataIzumi124]
Suzuki Airi : Arisu [RaReiRoo]
Take it Easy! / Kuri starts things off - she does have a cute voice, but it's almost too cute. To the point where I don't always find it very enjoyable. However, I read a few comments where people said that she's improved, and I think that's great!! 0:40 is Arisu - she hits her high notes very well and has a lovely voice; her solos caught my attention the most in this. Someone mentioned that Natsumi sounds like she is forcing, and I have to agree. You can tell that the higher notes aren't in her range, she strains on them and is a little pitchy. I'd like to hear her sing a song in her range, I bet she'd sound great.
The chorus is pretty good; these three sound swell together. Natsumi's strain isn't as noticable, and Kuri's uber cuteness is balanced out some by the other girls' voices. Sometimes it's hard to hear Arisu in the mix, but I know she's in there. The blending isn't very consistent, but it's there now and then, and it's nice. Kuri has the first "shining" at 1:36, followed by Arisu - who both did a fab job on them - and then Natsumi's is at 1:38, and she sounded kind of....unenthusiastic. I would have liked some more umph! from her on it.
Verses at 1:47, again starting with Kuri. I don't know how to explain it really, but on the first words in her lines, it's like she starts at a really high note and then comes down. Like "HI-ka-ri" - with her"hi" being very high and off key. Yes, that is how the song goes, melody wise, but it's like she takes it to an extreme, perhaps unintentionally? It's not that she isn't kawaii, her way of singing just niggles at me. But practice makes progress, nee? And no one is perfect, I totally give her props for dubbing and having fun.
Arisu at 2:00, gosh her high notes are so pretty and so spot on. 2:13 is Natsumi, she starts off good on the "koukai to" though there is some strain on the "hansei to no" - I do like her "kitari ja" but after that she's pitchy again. I think the chorus is my favorite part of this dub! This trio really does sound snazzy together. Arisu has the first "shining" and it's as wonderful as before. Natsumi sounds nice on hers this time and Kuri's voice cracks a little bit.
Oh, other than the chorus, 3:30 would have to be my favorite part! Kuri's solo is good and Arisu sounds marvelous. Butbutbut!! Natsumi's sounds amazing!! This is what I have been waiting for from her! Her best line in the whole dub, she sounds cutely awesome! And then the dubs finishes off with some more fabulous chorus. Overall, there are a few minor things that could be worked on, but this turned out nicely!
