NIM: KT & P♥T

For those of you who don't know yet, Renna (leader of HelloProjectAllStars) is hosting a huge collab concert with the intent to bring together various projects, giving each of them their time to shine, to sing their hearts out and show you what they're made of!! You can check out my first entry on it here for more info, links, etc. Thus far released are;

I've blogged about the medleys by TU!P and Kirei na Pro, but have yet to write about the others. So I'd like to focus this entry on track four of the concert;

2005 Haru Dai 6kan
Hit Mankai! Medley P2!

Haru no Uta Cast (KT @ 0:00)
Mikitty330 as Hitomi Yoshizawa
HannaPulla as Rika Ishikawa
LoliiKokoro as Ai Takahashi
Harmonies by LoliiKokoro
Mixed by: HannaPulla

~Oh goodness this is so lovely! I don't think I've ever heard this song before, so it's something new for me. Mikitty's vocalizing throughout the song is really good, and all of her solo lines are brilliant! Hanna sounds very pretty, darn cute too! A wonderful combination of the two that is a delight to the ears, and completely enchanting.

Lolii's mature voice reminds me of Martha a bit, but she's marvelous in her own way. I would have liked to have heard her a bit more, but it's how the concert version was scripted. Props to her on doing the harmonies! There are oodles of great solos in this, and the group-sung "Da Ra Da Ra Da Du Du"s are awesome! This is a really sweet and beautiful, I love it.

"... Suki da yo!" Cast (KT @ 2:46)
Mikitty330 as Hitomi Yoshizawa
Ameimii as Rika Ishikawa
lovelybeige (aka Ai) as Ai Takahashi
HannaPulla & LoliiKokoro join in the last chorus
Mixed by: HannaPulla

~ I love the "PA PA YA"s in this! They're just short little add-ins between lines really, but they're fun. Ameimii & Ai rocked their lines! I love Ai's energy and mature vocals, and Ameimii has a softness to her splendid singing that's darling. I like Mikitty in this as well, but since I've already talked about her once, I'll just keep it brief; she sings excellently and sounds very lovely!!

I like the "CLAP YOUR HANDS" etc parts in this! All of the girls deliver wonderfully, with emotion and at a good volume. They're tremendous on the verse, but I especially love them on the chorus! Their solos are kickbutt, and the trio lines are SO GOOD. They blend magically on the "nani mo iwanaide"s! They are definitely my fave part I think.

Souda! We're ALIVE Cast (PT @ 5:40)
Takahashi Ai: Hikki [DisturbedStrawberry]
Reina & Sayumi: Micchy [Hikasaiii]
Kamei Eri: Jko [TheJayko]
Fujimoto Miki: Mitsuki [MitsukiUsagii]
Niigaki Risa: Rixie [Rixiemixiepixiedixie]
Mixed by: Hikki

~The opening lines in this are fantastic! At first I forgot that this was going to be the concert version of this song, therefore shortened. When it jumped from the beginning to about halfway through, I was confused then went OH, lol. I love the melody of the chorus, the "shiawase ni naritai" etc and P♥T sings it outstandingly! Lots of fabulous blending going on!

There aren't a lot of solos in this portion of the medley, mainly a lot of groups and full-cast lines. You do get to hear each girl solo once though; Hikki (6:09), Rixie (6:16), Jko (6:46), Mitsuki (7:02), Micchy (7:11). They are all magnificent!! The "GO GO GO GO"s really pack a punch, and though I've cared for this song a lot, I think the "...A BEAUTIFUL STAR"s rock! Pinky Team deserves their place in the NIM Concert.

YA-YA-YA-YA

Get yourself ready for some K's. I'm always coming up with different ways to determine how to play catch up from day to day. In some ways I'm real behind and in others it's not that bad. But while thinking of what to write about today I randomly picked a number and it happened to match with the letter K's position in the alphabet. So I'm going to be catching up on K projects. This next dub I started writing about, and after a bit I decided to slap it in it's own entry~

*KanashimiLegend ~ Love & Peace! HERO ga Yattekitta~ / I LOVE THIS SONG. I know I say that about a lot of songs, cause in many ways H!P rocks and thus there are a lot of good songs. But this song is SO COOL! So fun and energetic & I completely adore the melodies. It's actually kind of funny, cause it's the song Renna (HPAS) used on her Natsu Interdubbing Medley Concert video and I remembered then how much I love this song. And now I'm listening to this, lol.

But onto the dub! Much of this is various group parts, but the beginning "EVERYDAY EVERYNIGHT" etc is mainly by everyone; it could have used more energy overall. At 0:32 it picks up some, there is more emotion, and everyone sounds fabulous. Memoire's "daisuki yo" at 1:00 is so adorably charming! 1:16 is my favorite melody in the song, it's amazing. This is one time I bow to Tsunku for a cool song.

Ameimi sounds sensational at 1:23, and following is more "HERO! HERE WE GO!" etc which turned out nicely! And 1:36 is Naoly, props to her for being a cover! I really like how the cast sounds on the verses, the second of which starts at 1:55. There is some nice blending going on and I like it!! Frick, I love Aiko. I've noticed her here and there on different group lines with her fantastic emotion, and her "daisuki yo" at 2:23 is so kawaii+pretty!

I really like Na/Ha at 2:33 ("kanatte hoshii")- they lead the way to more of the rockin' chorus. Memoire's 2:45 solo is wonderful, I like her "kanpeki na" ~ and at 2:59 Aiko totally pwns her line, her "dakara" is smashing!! The "EVERYDAY EVERYNIGHT" etc at the end doesn't really get me going anymore than in the beginning; the girls sound good, but I'd like more umph!

You don't hear Airen, Hanna, Hanni (yay for being a helpful cover), or Kokoro individually but they all contributed to the various group parts! I like this quite a lot!! I've barely listened to Kanashimi Legend, but I shall try and pay them more attention in the future!

Kappa's BD [P2]

Mano Erina : Coco [ CocoNStorm ]

Lucky Aura by Coco (from cremeproject) / Oh god I am sorry, I hate Mano Erina with a burning passion. I admit that I started listening to this with that bais, but thankfully Coco turned me around quickly—this is so sweet! I have to thank her for making me like this song, because she actually sang it with the personality that I always find Mano lacks for me. She sounds adorable throughout and there’s really not much I can find to critique. This is a lovely dub and it sounds like she worked a lot on it.

Good job to Sayuri on mixing it as well. The vocals are at a good level with the music and that meshing I was talking about in an earlier dub happened here. I would have liked to hear a slightly better quality audio rip so that the wota are clearer and not as center-channel-extracted sounding, but it’s a small thing. I have to give it to you because your mixing has improved a lot since I first heard you!

Overall, a good dub that deserves a listen. Great job, girls!

Abe Natsumi, Ishikawa Rika & Yasuda Kei : Airen [ malajesterices ]
Yaguchi Mari & Niigaki Risa : Hanna [ HannaPulla ]
Iida Kaori : Kokoro [ LoliiKokoro ]
Ogawa Makoto & Ai Takahashi : Naoly [ oONaolyOo ]
Tsuji Nozomi : Valentine [ ValentineDoe ]
Yoshizawa Hitomi : Memoiree [ Memoiree ]
Konno Asami : Ameimii [ Ameimii ]
Kago Ai : Aiko [ ReinaLoverAi ]

Koko ni Iruzee! by Dawn Musume (from Kanashimi Legend) // Koko ni Iruzee… this song is made of, tarred and feathered in, and then drowned in a sea of energy. With a quick read of the info bar, I can tell that the leader realizes that this dub turned out a tad on the low energy side. However, this song is HARD to sound energetic enough in, so I’m more than willing to give a fair listen and overlook that aspect to the rest of what’s going on here.

The quality of voices here is really nice! Most of the cast has some power to them that’s really holding this together well. Some of the soloists that really stood out to me were Valentine, Ameimii, and Aiko. All of them sounded fabulous, although there were a lot of powerful solos in this with a lot of personality. Those three really shone through to me the most though, and struck me as the best at having the full package—the power, the personality, the pitch, and the pronunciation. They nailed it!

I noticed right off the bat that the instrumental seemed really low here, but not in a de-amplified way so much as that it seemed like the gain was turned down. Sometimes I turn down the gain on my instrumentals when I’m timing vocals and forget to turn them back up, so maybe that’s what happened? Anyway, the vocals sound almost like they’d be the right volume had the instrumental been turned up.

It also sounds like there’s a lot of reverb on this that would be helped to be hidden if the music were back at regular level. It’s very possible as well that turning up the instrumental would help the energy of this dub out, since a lot of the feeling of the song is just in the wild instrumentation that’s going on behind the voices!

I love the 'WOW WOW WOW' lines at the end—probably my favorite part of this dub. All of the group parts in here sounded pretty good, though, and this group blends very well, which can be very hard to achieve. I think this group sounds great together and totally has the potential to sound FABULOUS. I enjoyed listening to this!
