This is going to be my 'stuff I listen to a lot' entry, while I wait for my lame slow internet to load some more videos. I have a several playlists of dubs- when one gets too full I make a new one. I'm going to go through them and pick out the ones I've listened to a lot lately.
These aren't in any certain order, just random. I realize that many of these are featured on the right-hand side, but I wanted to include them in this anyways. They deserve some more plugging, so they're getting it. I won't list all the Femme Fatale dubs (lol) but I listen to those a ton as well.
Asu e no Kizuna by animezirow / I don't remember how I first discovered Sherry, but I know she's been in a few of my BTW solo version entries. A while ago I downloaded an album she put together of about ten dubs, zip file format making for an easy dl. I really like it, but lately I've been listening to this cover quite a bit.
I forgot how much I enjoyed it until I randomly was going through my dub mp3s looking for stuff I hadn't listened to in a while. Sherry is a wonderful singer that I suggest y'all give a listen to. She's in a few dubbing groups that I have yet to really look at, but you can check out her profile for links. This cover is marvelous~

Aki Urara by Egao 9 (HanaProIndies) / Out of nowhere one day I was like "I LOVE YOU Aki urara" and that made me wonder if I had the mp3 for that dub, so I looked it up and it turned out I didn't! I downloaded it ASAP and have been listening to it lately. Before this Genki+ was a popular listen with me. E9 has a whole bunch of sensational dubs- there is some good stuff to be found on the Indies channel for Hana.
Star Star Star by X♡X♡ / I play the shit out of this dub. I can listen to it over and over and over again. It's exquisite. A masterpiece. I flat out love it. I was going to ask for the download, but then I got off my lazy butt after I realized that Liana probably made a thread in the yoproject forums for it. I struck luck, because not only did I find the mp3 for this dub, but also for X♡X♡'s Genie and Oh! - I downloaded all three and merged them with my Femme Fatale playlist, to make one smashing playlist of SNSD dubs.
Starduster by LovablexKarupin / I love Karu's singing. Or Ju-chan, as her girlfriend calls her in the video's drop-down section (aww). I hear her in a good amount of groupdubs from various projects and always drink her voice in greedily. Solos are even better in a way, because you get to hear her oodles and oodles! A lot of time when I hear her I think OMG CUTE JKFNJKF! So I really liked getting to hear her on something slow like this, where she really shines and sounds so pretty!
Chinatsu [ fandubzrmylife ]
Coco [ coconstorm ]
Kiro [ iaukiro ]
Nina [ animexlover28kat ]
Reika [ candyraver009 ]
Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago by Yuuyake (KiramekiDubs) / I've listened to this like, a dozen+ times today. The chorus' are nice, but I really enjoy the solos during the verses and pre-chorus. These girls sound so lovely and sweet, and them singing this song is very relaxing.
I'm really glad I downloaded this and it's mainly thanks to Chiyo! She fed me mp3s via MSN and though at the time I wasn't very attentive, I did finally sit down and listen to what she sent me. Kirameki has sounded like a promising dubbing group thus far, and I'll be glad to write more about them in the future! P.S- Their DESTINY LOVE dub is really good too.
Ogura Yui: Amaranth [faraBANG]
Ishihara Kaori: Amber [bibblebobble629]
Our Steady Boy by AmaBer (IroKokoro) / This is so adorable!! I love that these two dueted together! It took a few times for the song to grow on me, but I couldn't resist the cuteness that is AmaBer. I wonder if this was a one time thing, or if these subleaders will sing together again? Even if they don't, I can always listen to this wonderful dub whenever I want and there is lots of other stuff by IKP. I'm still addicted to Abracadabra and recently Sign. But if you're in the mood for something cute, this is for you!
Umeda Erika: Sayuri / Kappa [ xmikipinkux ]
Arihara Kanna: Aoi [ chocolateblakberri ]
Tsuugaku Vector by Gangsta Boo (HanaProIndies) / Yay! I love this dub! The song is really catchy, I adore the melodies. I love Aoi to pieces and this is one of my fave -smaller cast- dubs (off the top of my head at least) that Kappa's been in. The chorus is awesome, and all of the solos sound superb! There is a download link, so if you like it, get the mp3!
It's back on the first dub playlist I made, second from the top- over about the past week and a half I've taken to playing it more often, cause I like it so much. I believe this is the only duet they've done together (if there is another, somebody let me know!) and I'd love to hear them together again!
Eyes On Me by ChiiAyu / I think everyone likes something like Final Fantasy deep down. Maybe you mainly like the music, or you like the storylines and characters. You love to play or read fanfiction about it. Whatever whichever. I like a lot of the songs used in video games as well as some animes but I don't really play or watch.
This is a really pretty song and I loved Ayuchan's version of it so much I pleaded for a mp3. This is part of her Niji iro Kanji Video Collection in celebration of her first dubbing anniversary. I'm a bit behind on the latest parts she's released, but I will catch up! I've been stuck on this cover lately, because it's beautiful. Y'all should check out all of the parts done so far, cause Karen is a terrific singer/dancer.
Kamei Eri: Katie & Serenyty
Mitsui Aika: Yumiko
Kumai Yurina: Hinaki
Okai Chisato: Ameimi
Oujisama to Yuki no Yoru by Totally Up! Project / This is sweet, cute and lovely all mixed together- I love the differences in vocals. Each girl is unique and delightful to listen to in her own way. I like the song a lot, maybe not the "lonely love"s so much (if that's what they're saying and that's the song though, not the singers). The solos and chorus are splendid! I really like this a lot, it's lovely! It's the 10th track in TU!'s current concert, y'all should look into it if you haven't yet.
TANE: Boo-chan, Nozo and Boss
GuruGuru JUMP: Nichan, Nikki and Nozo
MottoImouto Summer Shuffle 2010! Part One / I've always loved the song Tane so I mini-freaked when I saw that it was the first song. And I've come to really like GURU because of this dub. Thanks to Malice and Boss for sending me stuff by MI. I go around singing "owatta koi dake ga TANE ni naru" and "Nee nee hora" etc & "OH DAARIN Motto motto motto GURUGURU Datte datte datte GURUGURU" lol. I love it.
This two-tracked mp3 (or video, depending) is kickbutt. I love both dubs and all of the singers. This was at the top of my most recent playlist, but it's been bumped down to second by Sign. I listen to it quite a bit because it's fun and I always want to sing along. Is part two out yet? idk, I'll have to look!! Thanks again to Malice for the mp3!
Saying I Love You by / I love Suzumi so much for giving me the download for this. I'd never talked to her or anything, she could have been wary and told me no. But she was flattered and said yes, thus making me very happy! I read something on a dubber's profile not too long ago that said something about how you shouldn't tell people they're good if they aren't. That it isn't nice to encourage them and build up their hopes.
I think that's true to a certain degree. If you're wanting to become a serious performer or recording artist, then yes, you've got to be good. But even though the world of dubbing can be dramatic because some people make it so, I think the majority of people are in it for the fun of it. And so when I listen to dubs, it's for my pure enjoyment and I understand that the humans singing aren't going to be perfect all the time. Small errors are no big deal.
This isn't the most incredible cover ever and I'd never heard Suzumi prior to this. But I fell in love with this after a few listens and I play the mp3 constantly. There are some iffy parts and even one spot that is pretty pitchy. But I "pfftpwsh" it and just enjoy the cover as a whole. I shall keep encouraging dubbers to sing if it's what makes them happy, and derive as much pleasure as I can from the experience of listening, interacting and blogging.
