Kanashiki koi no twilight

Ayu [xStrawberryDoll]
Bee [puppymamma]
Mikuri [mimianclub]
Taren [TalentlessLoser]
Meche [lilxicanita]

EDIT: OH, Taren informed me that she sang her part, as well as covered for someone else. So that's why she has more lines. I had no way of knowing this, since it wasn't noted in the video's description anywhere. I thank her for the info.

Kanashimi Twilight (2010 vers) by Yoru Tenshi (KawaiiInuProject) / Ayu starts the dub off nicely; she delivers well and though I don't care much for the echoes, they're how the song goes. She's followed by Bee, omg I adore her singing. She sounds wonderful, I especially like her "deta no" ~ I guess after listening to the same songs, they just grow on you. Some never will for me, but this one has managed to some.

0:42 is Ta/Mi -there is some fuzziness coming from somewhere- but the girls are marvelous. I like their "yasashiku tte" ~ one of them is really cute on the 'tte' though I don't know who (Mikuri?) At 0:47 it switches to Ta/Be, I love them on "maru shi" ~ This song has a lot of duets, that's what the majority of the chorus is; it's started off the first time by Ta/Me at 0:56. Mikuri solos at 1:04, D'aw she's a cutie. Her whole solo is sweet, I like her "mite yo" a lot.

1:17ish is Taren, the fuzziness sounds like it's from her. Mic perhaps? It muffles her voice and takes away from her overall sound. That aside, she's got good emotion. I'm confused at the second verse; the drop-down section says the cast is 'in order' - Meche hasn't soloed, and since Taren just did it makes sense that she's next. But at 1:38 it notes 'A' as the singer and it sounds like Ayu. Unless it is Meche, only wrongly labeled? When information provided is confusing or incorrect, it throws the listener off.

1:48 is Taren, the first part of her solo is really muffled, due to some effect maybe? but I like her "namida to naru yokan" ~ there's not really any fuzziness this time, so perhaps it's from something else? idk. Following is Mi/Ta (1:58), Ay/Be (2:02), and then everyone at 2:05. I find myself really liking the melodies in this song, lol. They grow on me more and more. 2:11ish is the next chorus, in which is Meche's first solo (as I know it at least)!! She sings at 2:19, her "rarete" is pretty and I also like her "nai"

Ayu at 2:56, her "miteta" is fabulous. Geesh Taren gets a lot of action in this dub, and with it being scripted I think the solos would pan out fairer. I like her singing but wish I got to hear the other cast solo more evenly. Taren's "nai" at 3:08 is cool. I just noticed how loud those cymbal-crash sounds are. Or maybe it's just me, lol. My ears get sensitive after a while. 3:18 is Bee, I think the way she sounds on the "ki" is endearing.

And that's it! I actually really like this; listening made me like this song more. And aside from the bits of fuzziness, the slight confusion, and whatever other little things - this dub turned out real well. This is my first time listening to anything by KawaiiInuProject, and I look forward to more from them.

  1. I wanted to make a comment about the "I get lots of action in this dub" comment. It wasn't mentioned, but I did my lines and covered for a graduating member as well, so I sang lots.

Also, thanks for the review~ ^^ I'm glad to hear you liked it ^^
