It's about F'ing time!

I blogged about Dez-Air again! I wrote about their first MV release, Nobody! (You can find that entry here) In case you're still going 'Who is Dez-Air' you can read this little bio they wrote. The above image is one of the covers of that release, which I happily discovered when I was checking up on their blog. I really like how it looks! Whoever made it did a great job.

And now, for the news. I learned what I know mainly from watching this update video. Krissy is away on a intership and won't be back until January of next year. And!! Dez-Air has a new member; Taylor! Lina was unable to participate in Dez-Air's second single, and is currently on hiatus because of school.

I had no idea who was who for a while. I knew who Lina and Elizabeth were, and after watching the news thing I knew who Eri was. And after that I could figure it out, because Taylor is the blonde, meaning Krissy is the other brunette! And guess what I just found on their blog?! A member's page, lol. So you can see for yourselves and I won't confuse y'all.

2 Different Tears / I'm impressed! I've listened to this like 15 times around. I'd never listened to the actual song fully before, and I am really digging this cover!! I love homemade MVs! They are so fun and original! You know that a lot of time, work and love goes into them- which makes them special.

The vocals wowed me. It's been a long time since I last listened to their Nobody release (I need to refresh my memory) and so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I think the melody and keys of the this song really suit the girls. Good choice. Eri's beginning solo is pretty (0:28)! She truly sounds wonderful, and her high notes are killer epic!

I really like Taylor on the verses, like at 0:59! I don't know how to describe her voice, I just know I like her singing a lot. I like how she delivers her lines. The group parts in the pre-chorus are amazing (ex 1:15)! The blending is so there!! I think there is some kind of effect applied to some part? I'm not sure, lol. But whatever; the girls sound fabulous together!

1:22 and 2:09 are Krissy! She's lovely on both solos, very sweet! I also feel the lyrics when I hear her sing them. She has good emotion! 2:47 is the rap, by Elizabeth! I am loving her in this! She has a mature voice that sounds awesome! I think she's perfect for the rap and did a terrific job on it! The chorus' are seriously magnificent! They're excellently sung and sound so so good!!

On the "so I hate/love you" lines in the chorus Eri and Taylor take turns pairing up with Elizabeth (at least I'm pretty sure it's only them, I'm not sure if Krissy has any of them). 1:38 is Tay & Eliz and 2:24 is Eri & Eliz. Overall the vocals in this are outstanding!! I totally need to download. Dez-Air should be proud of this! I think I like it more than Nobody, but I'll have to listen to it again to fully say.

As for the MV. I love it! I kind of wish the dresses that are used in the icecream shot had been used in the beginning dance. You really don't get to see the girls wear them on camera very much, and it's a shame. You see them in small portions, but even if not in the opening, I think they should have gotten more screen time. The workout clothes are great and I like the main outfits! Elizabeth's rap dress is gorgeous.

I couldn't help laughing when I saw that it was Twilight that Taylor was reading. And her reaction when it's knocked out her hands is funny. The other misc shots (at the mailbox, with the headphones, in bedroom, eating icecream) are nice- there isn't too too much going on, but the video isn't boring either. I suck at dancing, so I don't feel I can really comment. But I think it's all pretty rad.

This is so win in my books. Mega props to the girls for all the work they did to bring this together. And also to the 'behind the scenes' people, Brittiani, Paul and Marie + anyone else I don't know about. As I already said, they should all be pround of this! Dez-Air hwaiting! (I couldn't resist).
