Shizen is the shizniz

Aiko (ReinaLoverai) and Emi (ekichida) both shared the same dub with me the other day and I was going to blog about this new project, but once I saw how little information I was able to gather I decided to contact the project leader, Zakuro, to find out more about Shizen.

Mini Interview Time ~

AYA: The debut release was on May 08th, but the account's been around since December. When was the project formed/begun?

ZAKURO: ". . . .we started up in December when I asked Budou, Nashi, Kani and Ringo to join my new "epic" project. We started right away with our first single, but we lost it because of Budou's inactivity, but then in March Budou joined the forum and gave her lines and I took some time to release it."

AYA: What does Shizen mean? And what is the label SCD?

ZAKURO: "Shizen means Nature and SCD is a (label), but it consists of some other projects like: Candyyy Project and Fruity Gloss."

AYA: Where did the idea for the project come from?

ZAKURO: "It was thinking of Hana Project; that I wanted to have a project that would be epic too."

AYA: I see no audition videos and yet there are already 3 generations. Were members gained just by asking; either people asking/applying to join, or by the project asking friends or/and dubbers to join?

ZAKURO: "All were gained by asking, I asked around for some weeks and I added them."

AYA: It seems as if each member is given a name to go by; do these have any special meaning or are they just picked out for fun.

ZAKURO: "Each person including me is getting a Fruit or Vegetable name in Japanese. I did that because of Shizen means Nature and Fruits and Vegetables is in the Nature."

AYA: What would you say is the goal of your project; Are you set on making progress as a group, or is your main goal to just have fun? Somewhere inbetween?

ZAKURO: "The goal is to have fun and release dubs that our listeners like and to be epic. . . .But for that, all need to have fun!"

Thanks to Zakuro for taking the time to answer!

Aishite Aishite Ato Ippun by Generation 1 (ShizenProject) B-side to their first single/ This is so good! I can't stop listening to it; I downloaded it yesterday. It's freaking catchy and all the girls sound splendid! I like how the vid image shows you who is singing when, since this is a B-side song with no PV.

There aren't any group parts in this song originally, only solos and trios. SP was creative with line division, splitting into different groups of twos and threes on the trio-parts. At 0:38 it's Zakuro and Kyuuri, followed by Ringo, Nashi and Kani. At 1:52 it's Kyuuri and Ringo, followed by Kani, Zakuro and Nashi. I think out of the duets I liked the last group the most; they sound great together. All the groups do.

Everything else is solos except for towards the end at 3:12 where the whole group sings the last trio-part together. The blending is magnificent. Wow, I never realized how similar-sounding Zakuro and Kyuuri are. On the first two solos I almost didn't notice the singer change. They both have mature, strong, lovely voices.

Nashi sounds a littler quieter than the rest, I can hear the energy as she sings, she just doesn't have a. . .loud vocal volume? idk how to describe it. She sounds wonderful. Ringo is adorable! She has such a cute voice and I love the emotion she sings with. Kani is marvelous; very sweet and so full of pep. Always fun to listen to. Both of them delivered their lines very well.

I love the "AH Zenbu suteki" parts, where it goes up higher on the "suteki." The girls nailed it every time. This is an awesome cast! There are so so many good things about this dub. I'd totally give it 5 stars. More like 5k stars. Y'all should totally have a listen. I know I won't be able to get the "Aishite Aishite Ato Ippun"s out of my head, lol.

AS FOR ONE DAY by Generation 1 - The A-side to their first single / I don't like this song very much, so I wasn't all excited about listening to this dub really. The beginning speaking part was kawaii and freaking awesome. I liked the "sayonara koi fubuki" and "AS FOR ONE DAY" parts throughout the song.

The chorus sounds great! Just like in the B-side, the blending is epic. I'm not going to go further into detail, but it's worth a listen. Especially if you lik the song. That's the main reason it doesn't appeal to me. Great job gals! I can't wait to hear the other generations' first singles~
