S n M (x11)

BOO & YAY ~ I'm sorry I haven't gotten anything up all day! I slept in and showered and stuff, and at one point had to go pick my car up from the shop, and I was working on this entry for quite a while. Then my sister asked to get on and I caved. So this was sitting half way done for more than an hour.

The reason I caved was the YAY! I forgot that my layoff includes tomorrow! And! on top of that, I have thursday as one of my days off this next work week! So I still have the next two days off! UWAH. Anyways, onward~ (btw, if I ever screw up and say she/her and it's a guy; I'm sorry! I'm so used to listening to girls, so I go with that as my default unless I know otherwise).

The covers for Sekai no Melody's latest release are AMAZING. Huge props to Zelina, the designer. Thanks to Kristy and Elsa for telling me about this album, since I otherwise wouldn't have found out about it for a while. I need to make sure to check the SnM forums when looking for updates. Just browsing through now, and I'm already downloading things I haven't heard yet. I'm all hyped up to do some catching up.

SnM's Discography page is pretty up to date, and there you can find the majority of releases by the Language Teams; French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. The final group is the focus of this entry; the Korean Language Team, which has had five releases in total.

SnM seems to have about 1-4 songs per release; sometimes a little more or less. Anything more than that I'd probably consider an album or mini-album rather than a single. That said, Kteam's [R]Evolution is their first album, with a total of nine tracks. I've downloaded the whole thing and listened to all the songs. Here is the color-coded lyrics for everything.

After listening to two of the songs a lot, I've decided that this is my favorite. Ohmy, I love the "B to the i to the g (bang bang)" parts in the beginning and end!! They sound so cool. This is a really catchy song, very upbeat, and everyone did a fabulous job on bringing energy/emotion to it.

Shiio at 0:19, I really like her little laughing "ha ha" and the attitude on "hey move." I loved Omni's "bang bang" too. All of the "baby baby baby" lines throughout the song were awesome and energetic. 0:58 to 1:11 is all Elsa and Omni, both nailed their solos and they sound good as a duo. 1:19 is Shiio on her longest solo, I like "neowa nae saiui kkeun jeoldaenochimareo."

1:54 is Honey's kick-butt solo with Yuki doing little backup-like lines, and joining in on the "geonji"s, which sound great. Omni at 2:08; kjnfkjefnkejng. She is such an amazing rapper!! Lilmenchi has a solo in the midst of it and she sounds splendid. 2:51 is Yuki (her "you know" is cute) followed by an energetic lilmenchi.

For the sets of lines that start with "I don’t wanna be without you boy" (see lyrics), they're by two different groups. 0:28 group one (Omni, Shiio, Honey), 1:25 group two (lilmenchi, Elsa, Yuki, Omni), and at 2:22 you can hear one group right after the other. From 3:05 to 3:19 everyone gets a line, and they all sound superb!

A second later you can hear the two groups again, it goes; group 1 (3:20), group 2 (3:23), group 1 (3:27). Then there are more of those awesome "b to the i to the g (bang bang)"s. I immensely enjoyed this. Definitely worth a listen~

Second fave. I really like the melodies in this, it's such a lovely song and the four who sang it for us sound wonderful. I love how they sound together on the chorus, the blending is so good. One thing I like about listening to boy-group songs from SnM and AK, is that the girls sound amazing on the lower notes. I'm a sucker for them, and my mind is constantly blown by covers like this.

Omni's "ohhh" at 0:11 was beautiful. Wow, it wasn't until I looked at the lyrics that I knew; this song is all solos, duets and trios until the very end. All of the little pairings sound spetacular. I was also confused at first because the color-code has six singers, but then I figured out the obvious (it was noted, duh Aya); Rose and CappanNono were covered by Omni and Honey.

YouJuChan's "Whenever you be at home" in the beginning was lovely, I adore how she sounds on "be at home." She did great on the first two solo lines of the song, and I also really like her at 1:55. I loved Elsa's "Uh. . .Bang ‘em" at 1:23, she sounded so, I'm-so-cool. Her 0:33 solo was really good as well. Honey starts the rap at 2:37, followed by Omni at 3:02 - both of them delivered so well! They totally nailed their parts, and had great emotion.

3:10 is where they all sing together, and it's awesome. nfklenfjnswefkjnejn. All of these girls have awesome vocals; this is full of fabulously hit notes, fantastic solos and it's all topped off with an epic chorus. I could listen to this over and over again. Wait, I've already been doing that~

These are the next three, in order of which I liked more. The "La la" parts in Heaven are catchy, I really really like the verses, and the chorus is great. The beginning in We Belong Together is cute/good, and all the rapping is cool. I like the chorus but at the same time it's repetitive melody annoys me. Sunset Glow is very upbeat and fun. The chorus sounds awesome, but it's not the kind of song I can listen to over and over.

If I don't like a song, then I'm usually not going to like listening to a cover of it; no matter how good it is. So while I enjoy hearing the dubbers, a dislike of the song is what it is. That's the case in the previous three's order, and the reason these last four are are on the lower end of the scale for me. It's nothing to do with vocals.

I've always liked the song Haru Haru, but I've loved it ever since I downloaded AK's release of it. I don't like comparing different covers, and I'm not going to. But haven't you ever had it where you hear a certain version of a song, and then nothing else seems to exactly measure up to it for you? That's what it's like for me now. This is a really good dub of an awesome song, but I liked other songs on this album much more than it.

With La La La, Dirty Cash, and Number 1 it's mainly the songs. I don't like any of them very much and so don't get much enjoyment listening to them. But I did listen to them all at least a couple of times and all of the participants did a fabulous job! Props~

I figured while I was already blogging about SnM's Kteam, I'd cover two other songs, both from their 4th single, Passion; one's been on my computer and I forgot about it's epicness until now, and the other is a new discovery.

FIRE / The first time I heard this song by 2NE1 I was like; whatever. Since then I've heard at least three smashing dubs of it and now I can't help but like it. While my sister was online I kept singing the "Eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh 2NE1" lol. Cause I'd been listening to this cover, which is completely fill of win.

fjkwfjkwfnew, the beginning is EPIC. I loved "I go by the name of CL of 2NE1" - Kristy was so hot, she totally brought it. Omni and Elsa were awesome on their lines as well, and Liya's "Uh oh" was freaking smexy. The autotune effect sounds so good in this! Mz and Elsa's "(we) 2NE1" rule. And Omni's "you gotta ring the alarm" at 0:21 was killer.

Shiio at 1:30 starts off another smokin' round of solos. Her "fire naui gaseumeun" was great, Kristy's "You gotta drop it like it's hot" and Liya's "I gotta drop it like it's hot" were fantastic. The repeated parts (mi mi, tik tik, ri ri, etc) are sung by two groups throughout the song, refer to lyrics. Group 1 (omni, Rose, mzimperfectshun, Elsa, Ariah`, Shiio) Group 2 (Liya, Alice, lilmenchi, Honey, Kristy).

Random parts I like; Kristy and Ariah's blending on their "kkumeul kkumeul kkumeul" duet at 0:49 was super. Ariah's solo at 1:04 was lovely, I adore how she sounded on "beulbitdo." Lilmenchi at 1:25, you can hear the, smile? in her line. lol, she sounds happy/energetic, which is cool. I think 1:39 is Honey, the lyrics confused me some. Either way, that solo is kick-butt. Alice at 2:05, great emotion, I love the way she sings! Rose's solo at 2:11, such attitude!

Liya's "Sori jilleo" at about 2:47 is hot. Followed by more awesome "eh eh"s and the same part as in the beginning, only this time with different singers. One thing I don't like about this song is the repetitiveness. I know I've mentioned before that I find a lot of songs or parts in songs to be overly repetitive, lol. I can't help it. But regardless, this is a spectacular cover! I don't know who did the ending little laugh, but it's smexy.

Neorago (Piano Ver) / OH EM GEE. Piano + low notes + amazing vocals + pretty melody. I loved this the instant I heard it. The beginning is gorgeous. Farrah whisper-sang the "Neorago"s and Alice sang them echo-like right after her. Farrah sounds fantastic, and Alice blew my mind a little.

Honey at 0:16, she delivers her lines so well and sounds awesome. Kristy is a little pitchy, but I love her energy. mleshock has a really good voice, I can't think of a word to describe it. Not cute, but not mature. Somewhere in the middle, borderline sweet with a dash of mature? idk, it's lovely. 0:40 is lilmenchi, whose energy you can always hear.

I love Elsa on her two lines that begin with "Geu nooga nooga" at 0:48. I really like how she sounds on "eobdago." Farrah has a pretty little bit of vibrato going on and I adore it. Her 0:55 and 1:00 parts were awesome, I like her voice a lot. 1:03 and 1:15 are Shiio, her "jakkoo jakkoo" is great! She hit those notes wonderfully, and sounds so clear and lovely. 1:11 is Rose, she had a few slightly off notes but like her "ojik" even if it's a little off cause of her energy.

Ariah's "Oh oh only for you"s at 1:19 are magnificent. She sounds so good, her mature voice on those low notes is very pretty. Omni at 1:36, gosh ekfjnwefjknwjef, I love her singing. Elsa's "sarangin geol algo ijjiman" part from her 1:44 solo is super. I really like how she sounds on the "sarangin." 1:52 to 2:06 had some pitchiness, but Shiio, lilmenchi and Rose all did good.

Kristy sings with such umph! Her 2:07 solo was full with it, especially her "Geu nooga nooga"s. Gah, Alice sounds brilliant at 2:15! I love her "nandedo" and her vibrato on the 'o' in "ojik" is fabulous! I adore her. 2:24 is Honey, and the strength of her vocals really shines. Her "Nae gaseum sok" was so good. mleshock at 2:31, a little passive but still delightful. I like her "heulleodo" at 2:37.

2:59 is Omni, sounding amazing; her "naneun" is awesome. Ariah at 3:07, I can never get enough of her lovely voice. I like her "neoppoonirago." The only group parts in this are at 3:15, again with different groups, this time three. Group 1 (Kristy, Ariah`, omni, Alice) Group 2 (Honey, mleshock, Farrah) Group 3 (lilmenchi, Elsa, Shiio, Rose). All three blend wonderfully.

At 3:32 Omni has the whisper-sung "Neorago"s and Alice blows my mind some more on the echo-like sung "Neorago"s. I freaking love this. There is also a rock version of this song on the single, but this piano one wins for me, hands down.

Sorry I carried on so much about SnM and this group. I really enjoyed myself though, and I hope y'all check some of these songs out, cause they are so worth it. I should go to bed, cause it's 3am. And I have the next two days still to blog (heck yes). ILY'ALL~
