BLABODU "♥"

Following up after my post on Martha's blog, her latest entry made me totally want to cover something else on here. I was going to put them in the same entry, but then decided that I'd like to give them each their own. So SNSD's latest release is a smash hit! Run Devil Run. I LOVE it. Martha had a video of it up, and when I saw it, I thought of Only201miles' cover of it.

I can't remember how I discovered Leilani's YT channel, but I know that I ened up subbing to her on whatever day it was. Since then I check up now and then on what's new through my subbed section, but I must say, my two very favorite dubs of her lately are of OH! and Run Devil Run, both originally by SNSD. You know where this is going right? SHARE TIME!



I enjoy Leilani because of all the hard work she put into her dubs, and I really like her mature middle-range voice. She has awesome energy, and just does her thing, and it's awesome. This is what she calls a 'Jazz Version' of Run Devil Run, since she used the Piano Cover by Yoonha Hwang which obviously has a slightly different feel to it than the orignal instrumental.

It almost sounds like it's a full group of girls singing! So much vocal layering, and it's all her! I can see why it would have taken her 5 hours to record. I love all the different parts of the song that she sings; the chorus, the rapping, the verses. Everything!!

I love her vibrato and vocalizing on so many notes. She is amazing at not only singing, but putting it all together; she keeps great time (which I'm sure makes it easier) and must have some mad mixing skillz.

This is the first cover of this song that I have seen, and I think it's super fantastic! I strongly suggest you also listen to her cover of OH! by Girls' Generation (SNSD). Actually, you know what. I'll just add it into this entry as well! I won't comment on it, other than that I totally love it. Enjoy!
