Egao 9

Takahashi Ai : Kappa [ xmikipinkux ]
Niigaki Risa : Ajisai [ homeschooledchick17 ]
Kamei Eri : Mandy [ tokidokihaato ]
Tanaka Reina : Palla [ nephiminechan ]
Michishige Sayumi : Buggy [ shockingbuggy ]
Kusumi Koharu : Aoi [ chocolateblakberri ]
Mitsui Aika : Giselle [ giselledesu ]
JunJun : Yume [ yumeangel29 ]
LinLin : Rae [ singingondemand ]

Aruiteru / I know a lot of people don't like Sayumi, and I used to be one of them. She isn't the best singer, she's actually quite pitchy usually. As well as kiddy sounding -worse than young Momo- and she sings short seperatedish syllables. But, in a way...I've been converted LOL Just cause she's so cuuuute. I want to buy her pictures, not download MP3s of her solos.

And so listening to this, even though Buggy is a pinch pitchy, she pwns Sayumi's singing out of the water with her awesome and adorable performance that is like a mega bomb shot from a snazztastic canon of HELLAYEAH to sink Sayu's good ship lollipop. Buggy has fantastic energy and sings with such emotion that you can't help but love hearing her. She gets a kajillion stars for doing her thing (thang? lol) and rocking the boat with her kawaiiness.

Ohmygosh, I LOVE the part when the others jump in. From the cast list I guessed that everyone would be singing at some point, but I didn't expect it when it happened. It was a delightful surprise (1:19) because this group sounds so epic together! The blending is gorgeous, and the fact that it's this song -which is pretty and meaningful (even if repetitive)- turns me to mush.

I really like the way the "Aruiteru" at 1:37 sounds! D'AW togetherness, it's so kekjf kefjnef YAY! The visual for us listeners is Momusu, yes. But we're hearing the amazingness that is Egao 9, which is basically Hana (it just falls under HanaProIndies). Aoi's small solo at 2:18 is spectacular! Roll call; Goddess of kawaii, present! I love her.

Palla is so awesome on Reina's part, if MM wota fanboys knew of her, they'd be all over that smashtasticness, a'chanting her name. It'd be cool if one time, Hana got people to volunteer to be the crowd (wotas galore) so that we can all chant their names all sing-song like in the right places; "la la blah la *KI RI*" or something. Instead of having to hear "SAYUMI" when we're thinking "BUGGY" ~ Anyways!

2:25 is Kappa sounding as fine as ever. I mean that in the way that a guy is like; she is fine! You know, the enlongated accenty first syllable. But in a totally nice 'her voice makes me squee' way, as opposed to 'I dig her and her fine body' ~ I dig Kappa and her fine vocals! Following her we get another solo from Buggy (and it's fabulous) before more sensational group singing. GAH I love it all. Keep singing together forever and ever, gals.
