Seishun Bus Guide by Shiruku Koubou (Shiruku Project) / I have mixed feelings about this song, for the most part it's not one of my faves from Berryz. But it's melody is easy to get stuck in your head cause it's kind of catchy. As for the dub; like a few people have mentioned in the comments, the volume levels aren't real even. But mixing is a learning process!
The beginning smaller group parts sound pretty swell, there is a little fuzziness, but the girls sound nice together. I have to admit that I really like how the second group sounds (Li/Lu/Ai), they have such a mature rich sound. I really like their "kurushii" ~ The first group is marvelous as well (Da/Fa/Be/Mi), they have a lighter...cuter (for lack of a better word) sound.
0:27 is Michi, who did a real nice job on Risako's part, though she sounds a little strained on some of the higher notes. However; she delivers very well, with confindence, which makes her singing coming from Risako's face believeable. Homigosh, I love Lucy's following solo! She sounds fantastic, and I adore her "ranai kankaku" especially her note on 'ra' ~ I knew 0:38 was Fae right away, without looking at the cast. I think her "daro" is adorable, just as she is.
Pre-chorus at 0:42, some more lines from the before-mentioned groups, the last being sung by the entire cast - meaning, because of the volumes there is static and loudness that makes you wince a little on the "da yo" ~ 0:56 is Michi, she's often one of the quieter volumes in the dub, making her more difficult to hear at times. Next is Daniel, who sounds super cute! The cutest I remember hearing her; she suits this song's melodies.
AikoAikoAiko. Her voice alone is epic, plus she's got singing skillz, and then she has to go and hit lovely notes while I'm staring at Yurina's face. Nah, I'd love her even if I was looking at, er, Tsunku's face (LOL). Her 1:03 solo is great, especially when she goes up on "au" ~ she's also got wonderful energy! The first chorus' ending "hitorijime shitainda" is terrific! Fuzziness aside, the girls sound great!
1:11 is the same as the beginning, lines from the two groups on the same melody and also similar lyrics. I just talked about Aiko, so I'll just briefly mention that I love her 1:22 solo as well. Moving on to the second verse, 1:33 is Daniel; I think I like her more on the chorus, but she sounds darling. Following her is Lizzie, who suits Saki with her mature voice, and sings with good emotion. Then it's Belly as Maasa; I like her "jerashii"
The smaller group parts at 1:47 are fabulous! I really like how both groups sound together! Once again, the last line in the pre-chorus is by everyone and towards the end of it is fuzzy, mostly the "ne" ~ in the chorus we hear more splendid solos from Michi (2:01), Lizzie (2:05), and Belly (2:09). Ending with the 2:12 great group "Jikan yo modotte kure" ~
After the instrumental break the rest of the dub is pretty much the same parts that you've already heard. It's all swell, but I'm not going to blather on about it, lol. I think besides the iffy volumes, this turned out real nice. The fuzziness I mention could also be due to mic quality, but I'm not sure. Overall, a terrific debut!
