Naichau Kamo by Chocolate Musume (cremeproject) /My first thought, before even listening, was; oh this song again. Cause it's been dubbed a lot lately!! But, I really like this song ~ the melodies in it are pretty and catchy. It feels like it's been a while since I listened to anything by this project! The opening "Kamo"s are all wonderful, though Mitsuki's sounded a little out of place, not in a bad way though! Memoire, Michi, and Anari all have more stronger / more mature voices and then there is Mitsuki's slightly softer cuter voice. Anyways, all four of them gave the dub a good start.
0:34. Waaah, I love Memoire's singing! She makes a good Reina, but regardless of who she's singing as, she sounds great! I think maybe her "aizu da ne" could have been less...seperated syllables? I don't know how to word it; it would have sounded nicer if it flowed more. And she sounds like she was close to rushing a tiny bit on it. But this is me being nitpicky, lol. She really does sound wonderful.
kgjn eswkgfn!! Anari (0:42) sounds epic! She has such a strong, lovely, matureish voice and delivers so well! Following her is Yuna; cuuute! Not like kawaii cute, but like pretty smexy cute? idk. I wish I could hear her on a different melody and a longer line in this song, but I'll just have to look out for her in the next single!
Ohmygosh (*o*) the duets starting at 0:58 blow my mind. Mic/Me is the first line and An/Mit the second ~ both pairs sound incredible together, the blending is fantasitc! I have to say that I like the first duet more, mostly because I like the melody and lyirc more, lol. Chorus time, 1:08! O M G THE BLENDINGNESS ;w; It's freaking amazing. I am downloading this right now *clicks link*
There are two different groups that sing the main parts of the chorus, it's a lot of people to list, so just refer to projecthello's lyrics to see who makes up the groups. They're both so awesome that it's impossible for me to pick one I like more than the other. Anari's 1:16 solo is fabulous, she hits some nice notes, though I like other solos by her more. 1:32 is Mitsuki, she a little pitchy but sings with good emotion. All of the "Kamo" etc lines at 1:41 are magnificent! A great finish to the first part of the song.
Ugh, I like An & Me, but it's lame that this song has so many Ai and Reina lines. I'd like to hear how some of the other girls sound on the verses, but there are always pro's and con's to how you script. It's easier to follow along with a dub that's casted, but then you've got to go with the often unfair line distribution. With color coding or rotating through a number of girls ('in order of solo') you can break free of people getting shorted solos but~ without CClyrics to follow along with, things can get confusing. The con here is unequal solos.
2:06 to 2:29 is all by Anari and Memoire; plus the one line by Yuna at 2:22, which she sounds great on! All three did marvelously on their solos! Uwah, more epic pre-chorus duets at 2:30! Total win. Same groups as before (An/Mit & Mic/Me), only they flip-flopped the order they sing in. TMHLNHML (lol ilurae) the chorus is so gooood. Memoire's 2:48 solo is smashing! I really like her "mitai ni" as well as her "aitai"
YAY Michi solo at 3:04!! I adore the first part, "saigo no yoru ga kitara" ~ she sings with awesome energy and emotion, tackling the high notes and being like AH HELL YEAH I CAN HIT YOU! The end of her 'kitara' is so cute too, the little lift she does on the 'ra' note. And 3:13 is some more of those spectaculaer "kamo" etc's by various trios and duets.
After An and Me's lovely little bit of chorus at 3:40, the rest of the dub is just more chorus and a final round of "kamo"s. Oodles of props for Rin, Sayuri, Martha and Aly for all their work on these parts! They contributed to all of the wonderful smaller parts you hear throughout, and I know if they'd had any solos, they'd have rocked'em!
Wow, I'm really glad I listened to this. I've heard several dubs of this song, and this is probably in my top two. It's most definitely worth a listen (and a download). This cast of terrific gals would get like, five stars times a kajillion if the option was there anymore, but since I YT wouldn't have let me rate that many times anyways, I can at least give it a thumbs up!
