BK FTW

SO! I thought of making an entry with a certain common theme; dubs hosted by Juwibean. She's been popping pretty often on my subs lately, and then when I saw that a handful were by a group called CaRinA, I decided to check'em out.

I first thought that they were dubbing an entire Berryz Koubou concert, though I didn't know which at the time. But after seeing that they've dubbed from different concerts, I think they are just picking and choosing concert songs they want to dub, and releasing them as A and B sided singles. We'll see! BK is basically my all time favorite H!P group, so when I noticed that the dubs are all BK songs, I got excited. This duo has got me interested! YAY BERRYZ!

Berryz Koubou Koushinkyoku / Bonus / Is this the BK theme song or something? I've actually never heard it before. Whatever it is, it's adorable! And Kimiko & Juri sound fantastic on it! It's a peppy upbeat song, very cheerful, and these two gals kept a good energy level up and seemed to have fun with it. There is some slight strain on the higher notes, but it's not super noticable. I love love the chorus, my fave part of this dub.




Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai / A-side / LOL at the Berryz girls' outfits! I've only ever watched their Sono Subete no Ai ni concert performance while wearing them, and I think they suit that song. But this song?! l to the o l. Risako looks like Bo Peep, Momoko like little Miss Muffet, and Saki like Mary quite contrary. And Yurina is one smexy prince, lol, okay enough of that~

Uhh, I don't really know who's who, so I don't know who's singing when. It'd be nice to hear both of them sing with more volume and maybe a smidge more energy - it actually seems to pick up as the song goes along though, and the pre-chorus is pretty fab. I like how they sound together, and the majority of their solos are splendid.




BERRY FIELDS / B-side / O M G, I love this song! ! ! It's part of the concert that was Maiha's last ;w; BUTbutbut, CaRinA didn't use that concert vid, they used one after she's already gone. Which is kind of a disappointment, but I'm happy that someone is even dubbing this song, so it's all good. It's kind of funny cause I always say that I don't like overly repetitive songs, and this song can be just that at times, lol. But I can't help it, I adore it.

I wish H!P made instrumentals for B-sides; even though this is a concert - you could cut the actual song down to fit the vid or something though, right? It just sucks when you have to make your own and in the end you can still sort of hear the original singers. *shakes fist* Shut up, Miyabi! lol, nah. She's just the first to sing is all, it happens at different degrees throughout the dub.

I like 0:55, and a lot of the verse-parts. I adore the melody of the pre-chorus, though there are some higher notes in there; the girls did a great job on them. The "VERY NICE BERRY FIELDS TASTE OF HONEY" parts in the chorus are nice. lol, I was just thinking as I watched; maybe it's a good thing they didn't use the other video. Cause the BK girls are all teary eyed in it, and I get choked up every time I watch it.

Some of the lines in this are really cute! I really like Kimiko and Juri together at 2:31, love the blending! And again at 2:48! Whoa, is the "Berry Fields" at 2:57 by one of them? Cause it's epic. I also like how they went up on the last pre-chorus' ending note - the 'wo' in "ai wo" & then we have two more rounds of the lovely chorus to finish things off. I'm so happy someone dubbed this song~
