PAATI ~

Aika Mitsui: Sayuri [Lilacsilk28]
Yurina Kumai: Ami [amiswami2]
Saki Nakajima: Ai [ReinaLoverai]
Risako Sugaya: Ayu [ChiiAyu]

PARTY TIME by Kuzumochi (cremeproject) / Wow, everyone really suits their H!P girls here! I picked out Ayu's voice right away and she's always made an awesome Rii. Ai blew my mind as Nakki, and Ami sounded fab on her Yurina lines. There's no Airi in this, but Sayuri suits Aika also; she's not just an Airi girl! These four sound wonderful!!

The beginning of this song is super catchy, and the echoes are cool; the same goes for this dub version of it -I really like the "pa pa ya pa pa pa pia"s. Sayuri's "wakuwaku" is cute on her first solo (0:32), I've always liked that little part. Her ending "temo" was pretty. I could marry Ayu's voice; I never ever tire of it. Her first solo is at 0:39, and it's as splendid as all the rest. I liked her "ijippari yappari."

FreakingA, I adore Ami's singing (0:46)!! jdnqw djqwkdnqjwd I love her voice! I especially liked her "tara" from her "naratara" - it was such a pretty note. I don't admit it enough, but I have a weakness for Nakki (*cough*). A lot of people find her annoying, but I love her energy and think she's adorable. That's why I think Ai is perfect for her in this dub; she's always sings with umph! and is definitely darling. (0:53) And on top of that, she's so good! Her voice is that perfect mix between matureish and cute.

1:02 is the chorus, and I love the blending! In this song it's actually quite short; like a four-line paragraph plus some more "pa pa ya"s and such. Sayuri and Ami's "I will be sweet girl" lines turned out wonderfully! So did Ayu's "aruiteku" - but my favorite would have to be Ai's "aishiteru."

I think Sayuri (1:33) just has one of those voices that can easily sound like it needs more energy simply because she's not loud. I've heard her on other songs and I know she can sing very strongly, but she has a soft tone that can fool you into wanting to say 'more energy' when it comes to some songs. I found myself thinking that this time and I can't exactly get it out of my head. Regardless, she's marvelous.

I know I've probably said it before, but Ayu (1:40) just has such a unique voice. I don't know how to describe how I think it's different, it just is. When I hear her I don't think; 'oh she sounds like so-and-so' - she may remind me of someone at times, but she always sounds like her fantastic self. I really like her "ikou yo."

Ami again at 1:48, her whole line is lovely, but I really like her "seikai ka nante dare ni wakaru no" - I like how she delivered the words, very. . . .I can't think of a way to put it. Her syllables were short, quick, clear, and on beat. I love how she sounds. Now and then Ai hits a few slightly off notes, but it's not super noticable and her energy more than makes up for it. At 1:55, I like her "demo."

In the first set of chorus lyrics that occurs three times (the "party time hajimeyou" set of lines) I really like how the girls all sound on the 'n' in "iron" - the n's and m's are one thing that I didn't understand about Japanese at first until I looked into it. They are often said as their own stand-alone syllable / sound. And getting the right amount of syllables when singing any kind of song, especially a faster one, is important. You can be trying to learn a song, and if you're messing up just one pronunciation it can throw off the syllable count, which can mess up timing. [/blahblah] LOL anyways, I just wanted to say that I like how the "iron" sounds.

The rest of the song is basically the same melody with different repeated lyrics. Not too much to comment on individually. This group of gals really do sound fabulous together! I can't say I'm crazy about the song, but listening to this Kuzumochi release is delightful. The ending "pa pa ya pa pa pa pia" is spectacular~
