EVERYDAY Zekkouchou by S-ute (HoshiDubs) / This is very, relaxing. I can't think of a better way to put it; this song has such a pretty and simple melody to it. The kind of song that makes you want to smell the flowers and sway back and forth like the C-ute girls do, and sing "Good day sunshine!" And these girls totally pulled that off. I was swaying and humming along in my chair while listening.
I love having the split video with both versions. It shows you that this dub is timed amazingly spot on. I can sit here and watch the mouths move and everything is lined up perfectly, looking like it could really be coming from Maimi or whoever. Not that it's a must, since we all know YT likes to jack things up so that they turn out off. I just like it. Good job mixers and dubbers!
This could use a little more energy, but with this type of song it's not as noticable as it would be with a more power-filled one (like WAO by Berryz). Still, a little more. Hoshi's leader mentioned that there were some pronunciation errors but I didn't notice any super off ones, and when I followed along with the lyrics there were only a handful of iffy spots.
Nikki and Chinatsu did a great job on lead vocals (since, let's face it, that's what Maimi and Airi are). Both of them had nice solos in the beginning and throughout the song, though they seemed a little passive. A bit more umph would be nice. I liked Nikki's "EVERYDAY" at 1:42 and Chinatsu's "UH BABY"s.
As someone mentioned in the comments, there is a random "nan" sound around 2:16. It kind of makes you WTF a little, but it just one of those things that slipped through during the mixing process. No worries. Belly has the "EVERYDAY" at about 3:03, which is nice. It's also her at 3:36; she could have used a little more energy, but she still sounds good.
You don't hear Nono too much, but I really like her voice; it's lower and mature and sounds so lovely. Her solo at 1:23 was nice, but I liked her a lot on the duets she had with Chinatsu (0:56 & 2:18). I adore her on the ending notes of those lines that are lower, the "aru" and "inai" -
Cause in the song the second syllable is made into two syllables on two notes instead of one. Like 'a-ru-u' with the 'ru-u' going from one note down to a lower one. I like how Nono sounds singing those parts. She isn't the only one who does it, since this added syllable reoccurs throughout the song. I think it's a charming little touch that Tsunku added in.
Mystery and Ami have parts that don't get solos, but they contributed to the chorus, which is wonderful. They partake in some of the duets throughout the dub too, like their own at 2:45; which they sound lovely on. I liked Nikki and Mystery's duet at 0:52, and Belly and Ami sounded great together at 1:00 & 2:22.
I'm loving this. A little more energy and it'd be epic, but it's still marvelous as is~
