Miyabi~ Belly [Rasubelly]
Airi~ Yuri [FuonYuri]
Momoko~ Rachel [rozentorndoll]
Rottara! Rottara by Sora Projects / This is my first time writing about Sora, since the first time they were reviewed by Kappa. You've gotta love this song; it's adorable and loads of fun. I think it's a bit funky that they did the "honto" "eee" & "nande" parts, but not the "Rottara rottara"s. There is this one dubber, I can't remember who, but whenever she left part of the original singer's vocals in, she'd list it as; Rottara! Rottara! by SoraProject feat. Buono! And that's what this is, since those parts were left in.
0:23 is a fantastic line by Belly, and a great way to start the solos! Throughout the dub her energy is good, she's a sinch pitchy once in a while, and I thought her timing was pretty good. As was pointed out in the comments, Rachel's pronounciation needs work; she stumbled over the words sometimes, and in turn her timing is off now and then. I think she has good emotion when singing, but it'd be nice to hear her with more energy.
Face it y'all, Yuri rocked this dub. Timing, energy, line deliverly, etc - she did a great job on all of it! If I had to pick at something, it'd be that she hit a few off notes. Some more noticable than others, but all of them minorly so. Like her "da" at 0:54 - it sounds like she held it a tiny bit too long, and on the end of it went off; flat, I think. But!! Little things like that are blasted into the abyss of it-doesn't-matter, cause the majority of her solos are awesome!
At 0:34, there is a random "la" sound, right at the end of Belly's solo and the beginning of Rachel's. Just something to take note up, was probably missed during the mixing? Destiny, leader of Sora Project, is still learning and I think she did a pretty swell job. I also heard something at 1:52 - the "hoshii" at the end of Rachel's line sounds cut off, but I'm thinking it's cause her line wasn't timed right, and she would have run right into the following "rottara rottara"s. Again, minor things.
I also like Belly on the third line of the choruses, at 2:12 and 2:23 - I don't know if I've said it before, but she kind of sounds like Miyabi, like, they both have the same tone? If that makes snese. I love love Yuri on the pre-chorus parts, she sings the melody there so well!! Like her solo starting at 0:45; I adore her "ikite." The "dore/kore/are kurai"s of the chorus are not always smooth, but they turned out alright.
Even with the things she could work on, Rachel has a very cute voice! I really like her last solo at 3:27. Her pronounciation and timing were great, and she sounds wonderful on the higher notes. Except for the missing "Rottara rottara"s and the timing & pronounciation stuff, this is a splendid dub!
