Thanks to Liana of Yoproject for her nice words about Blabodu ;w; I feel a little bad for those that check this blog everyday, as I don't always get done as much as I'd like. Sometimes I just get distracted, and other times my internet or YT decides to hate on me. It's being difficult right now and hasn't been very fast all morning. Maybe because of the rain. idk.
I again point you in the direction of Batmanz Kikaku's latest releases; Otakebi Boy WAO and Tomodachi wa Tomodachi. Downloads can be found in the thread, and I also linked y'all to the YT vids. Props to Liana as mixer, Joel as Tsunku, and to the singers; Rei, K, Nyanko, Suu, Bakapai, Molly, Msaki.

I can never say no to a request / shared dub from Izumi~ It makes me immensely happy when people send things my way, so don't ever hesitate! "alo!kira did a cover of Nanchatte Renai by Morning Musume! I know what you're thinking: REALLY SERIOUSLY?! NOT AGAIN!!" lol, not in the least. I love this song and I really like listening to dubs of it. Good suggestion, Noeruu.
Izumi [faraBANG]
Risa [omgspazattack]
Noeruu [kingdomheartstibute]
Okie [DivaDagger]
Yuri [Fuonyuri]
Nanchatte Renai by alo!kira / My OCDness about colors is niggling at me. But I chose the ones I did because they are close to those used in the color-coded lyrics, and I figured it'd be less confusing than if I had picked totally different colors. CClyrics are my new best friend, I love having them. Just like I adore having a MP3 download link.
"She also hand-made every single echo and every single backing vocal here, which I've not seen many dubs do." The 'she' that alo!kira's producer is talking about, is Izumi. (Thanks to Kappa of HanaProject for answering a few questions I had regarding NR's instrumental). That means that every time you hear a second voice singing quietly in the background, that's her! She did great on the harmonies.
0:37 is Noeruu; cute! She has good energy and I'm loving her bits of vibrato. Okie at 1:06, sounding as sweet as usual, she always delivers her lines really well. The echo tailing her "aa" at 1:12 is great. 1:15 is Risa and Noeruu, and they sound so cool! The autotune on the rap parts is epic! In the middle of the rap at 1:20 is Yuri on her little "Oshiete hoshii" - though small it's fabulous. Okie's "Otona ni naru" sounded fab. Risa's "Ikenai ne" at 1:27 is lovely.
The chorus the first time around starts at 1:30. The "Nanchatte"s are sung by the whole group, but the rest of is by Yuri(1st part) and Okie(2nd part). Both were spot on; great pitch and timing. 2:04 is Risa, I really liked her "waratteru ko nante Iru no ka na." She also has a nice vibrato, and sang with good emotion on that part.
Yuri sounds wonderful at 2:33! I've always liked this part of this song. It's upbeat like a rap, but she's still singing. idk if that makes sense. More fabulous rapping at 2:42, again, the added autotune is cool. But with or without it, Izumi and Okie pwned. I really liked the way Izumi's "watashi" and Okie's "Imi naku guretari" sounded. And their ending "Aishitai" is spectacular!! Okie has the line and Izumi does the harmony & ohemgee, they blend perfectly. The chorus again at 2:57, by Risa(1st part) and Yuri(2nd part). Both gals sound magnificent.
SHAME ON YOU, AYA. I decided to turn this up real loud so I could hear everything really well. And I'm surprised that I've never actually listened to the instrumental. It by itself is a thing of beauty. I know I sound corny when I say that, but I mean it. I love orchestra-music and I have a weakness for string instruments (violin, cello, double bass, etc). Probably one of the things that subconsciously drew me to this song. That and the piano.
The violin parts in this sound amazing. 3:33, Izumi's singing + the music blew me away. Her solo is splendid, but combined with the backing music, it's beautiful. I also hear a harp? some kind of string being plucked during the verses, and it's awesome. I could write this entry entirely about the instrumental itself. I wonder what a ballad version of this song with music only would sound like ;w;
Noeruu's "aiso warai" at 3:46 sounds great, and is an awesome way to lead into the main group part of the song a second later. iogegnjkrgnjkregr, these girls sound so good together!! It's epic. I really really liked the ending because of the blending. I listened to this dub with my amazing wireless huge ear-incasing headphones and also with earbuds. Just to see if I missed anything.
As I said already, Izumi did a wonderful job on the harmonies. I really focused on them with the second set of phones. She sings them on the last line of the first part, each time the chorus is sung. The first time I didn't notice it as much, but at 2:05 she sings along with Risa on the "Iru no ka na" but she goes low, and it's brilliant.
What's cool about the echoes is, there are a total of about five well-heard echoes and if you're wearing headphones they go back and forth from one side to the other. I guess if you have earbuds it depends on which ears they're in. I heard three on my left and two on my right every time, but if I switched the earbuds it flipflopped. A faint 6th sometimes can be heard if you really listen.

Bah, it's just past midnight and I work tomorrow. So I have to be finishing this up. Goodness, I talked a freaking enough. Alo!kira did a super job on NR. Thanks again to Izumi for sharing. I think I might have gotten more dubs covered if my internet wasn't so evil to me today. I spent some time doing other things because I was frustrated with trying. I'll have to catch up tomorrow, and then there's always BTW after work on the weekend. Nightnight dears~
