Dubbers Radio [brought to you by shockingbuggy]
The radio show for dubbers, by dubbers, and about dubbers

What is epic? Hello! Project. Hana Project. Yamabuki. Dubbing in general. Oh, and what else is EPIC? Why Dubbers Radio, of course. If you have not tuned into this first episode of shockingbuggy's new radio show, DO IT NOW.

Buggy is very easy to listen to, in that her and her talk-topics are interesting and things that dubbers and non-dubbers alike can either relate to, or enjoy learning about. She states her opinion, but doesn't over-do anything, and has nifty little tips. She explains what she's talking and/or why she thinks what she does.

I LOVE her background music. It's cool that it's not the same song throughout the whole thing; that'd be boring. I also love that she has links to what is played; she is advertising dubbing groups, but it's in a very non-annoying way, and it's such a nice and positive thing to do. You can listen to her and the music and not get confused. She follows an easy program, and her content is quite informative.

I really liked how at 8:55, listeners were told to pause so that they could go to Yamabuki's dub and have a listen, before continuing on to hear comments about it. It was a really smart idea, and it worked awesomely without wasting any of the precious 10 minutes. Props to WAO mixer; Kiri. (ILU RAEBEE)

In this topic, Buggy covers Auditions. She has asked for input from Groups on; "What are things you look for in auditions?" But she's also asked for input from auditioners as well. Drop her a comment if you want to share your thoughts! I love this show already, and I just know she must have gotten replies flowing in. Oh, and if you haven't yet; SUBSCRIBE!

D R- Episode 1 Keywords & Quotes ~

"Mixing, to me, is what can make or break a dub."

Hana Project
"Because I am shameless about self promotion; WHOO!"

Vocal Imitations
"When people try to vocal imitate, they kind of force their voices to do something that's not really natural for them."

First step to auditioning
"Oh my god, I cannot stress this enough; read the directions."

[LOL value]
"No one sounds good when they're singing through their nose. Not even Koharu. Or Sayumi."

And lastly, I quote Buggy on this; "Don't really stress about being rejected from a dubbing." group." I definitely agree! It's not the end of the world. Just keep singing~ Practice brings progress, but most important of all; just have fun! And Buggy also suggested that if you really want to improve, you can always ask for some pointers.

This is just the beginning of what is already an EPIC show in my opinion. I can't wait for the next episode, and I plan on following along here on my blog.
