Misc

I've loaded this Shiruku video at least three different days, and then just not got around to it. Well no more!! I'm trying to get to some more shoutbox requests, so this entry is a little bit of this and that. I promise!! Hikari (CherryzProject) and Mignon Project, I will get to you as soon as I can!

I'm still PMing and interviewing, which can leave me waiting on replies before I proceed. But it's fun to chitchat a little bit with different projects! And I try really hard to think of what I'd like to know that I can't figure out by reading a profile, when asking questions. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to respond to me!!

Natsuyaki Miyabi - Lucy [CherryxJuice]
Sugaya Risako - Michi [hitsugayahinamori]
Shimizu Saki - Lizzie [Liz9419]
Tokunaga Chinami - Fae [nytefaerie]
Ishimura Maiha - Miyu [Mermaid31894]
Tsugunaga Momoko - Daniel [lovelyneko10000]
Sudou Maasa - Belly [Rasubelly]
Kumai Yurina - Aiko [ReinaLoverai]

Special Generation by Shiruku Koubou (Shiruku Project) / lol I had a really fun time listening to Aiko and Michi (and I mean that as I compliment, girly) in this! Their energy caught my attention~ Lucy is super lovely+sweet on her part and has her own bit of kick; she's terrific on her lines! I almost thought Daniel was Momoko! Her first solo is really cute and very Momo like, she could use a little more strength in her delivery, but!! her energy has improved.

You don't get much of a chance to hear Lizzie, Fae, Miyu or Belly~ but they all contributed to the group parts, and the wonderful end result that this dub ended up being could not be so without their singing. The "Ai"s could have been a little fiercer, but the overall sound of this release is delightful! It's been a while since I heard a dub of this song and I really enjoyed it.

Kamei Eri - Cute, Sultry Tsundere~
Kumai Yurina - Serious, Unsure Meganekko~
Okai Chisato - Over-confident, energetic Tomboy~
Mitsui Aika - LOLI!

UMBRELLA by Malice [maliciousdevice] / jfknejkfnejk. I love Malice. I'm so so happy that she started to share her solos and other dubs with me, because I am such a fan of her singing. She has such a unique fantastic voice and smashing energy + emotion! I love every word from her mouth and she always catches my attention in dubs.

She worked really hard on this solo and I think it definitely shows!! She sounds amazing with herself, the blending of her four different voice-types in awesome! I've never heard the song, but now I am dying for an mp3 of this dub! Malice did such a good job on sounding different for each part she sang- it shows that she is flexible and can do different things with her sound, and just proves to me even more how talented she is.

Malice said that this song makes her mega happy. Well this dub makes me mega happy!! I'd give it a ton of thumbs up if I could, but alas I can only give it one. SO WORTH A LISTEN. Rabu rabu rabu rabu *happy twitch* must. have. mp3.

Mimi (x3LoveyDovey)
Eva (waterpixieva)
Ryan (RyanEatPho)
Jay (jExtremist)

Chu by Gemini (JjangGeneration) / I downloaded this a little while ago when Eva sent it to me, cause I was excited at the thought of another dub by these four! They work so well together!! (Plus Aya is a fangirl of the guys cause of Boyono, and Eva's solos are incredible. HI MIMI I'D LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU!) Chu isn't my favorite f(x) song, but it's really catchy and in a way cute. lol, at the end of work today I started singing it randomly to my mom cause this dub came to mind~

jgnejkswgnkjw kgnrejkgnrkj O M G! The opening part and the "chu"s etc turned out amazingly!! These people know what they are doing; singing and mixing wise. The solos are so freaking good, and I love how people join in for duets or harmonies throughout the song! Like on the "ku ku ku ku"s & "yeah baby" ~ Also when they sing boy/girl on the "Do it, do it chu~, it’s true, true, true, true, it’s you" parts.

I am admittedly not playing the YT vid of this, but simply listening to my mp3. Sometimes this group has names to show who is singing when, but I don't know for sure if they did that this time. I love Eva's rap as well as whichever of the guys sings a part of it. Plus I love the "do it chu" that follows!!! But everything about this dub is utterly epic! It sounds very professional, well sung and well put-together. Worth a kajillion gold stars for excellence!

Kiss by Logan [ThatBananaYes] / ohmystars, Logan stopped by! I feel so special! I don't know him at all, but I already think he's awesome. I've heard him in quite a few dubs, though I couldn't tell you what off the top of my head. He's always helping people out by singing the extra parts in songs and I often see him mentioned....unless there are two Logans?! Nah, I don't think so, lol. Anyways~

He sent me his latest solo dub of the song Kiss, "I love this song, even if it's about a skanky home-wrecker... basically" lmafo! Logan is fairly pitchy, but the emotion he sings with is marvelous and because of it he's quite....sweet? I don't quite know the right word to use. Charming? I really feel the 'skanky home-wrecker' related emotion in the chorus' LOL I mean that in a good way, like, he puts feeling into his singing and it comes through to the listener. I like his "kiss kiss kiss"s and I love his "kiss me please"s.

Above all, his dedication to singing is great! I can't say that I know he sings allll the time or anything, but someone can say "you suck" or give constructive criticism and because of it someone who likes to sing could become less inclined to do so or to share at all. Singing is for fun, and sharing with your friends, just having a good time, whatever- I'm glad that Logan sings and shares! Yes, he's pitchy. But practice brings progress! Keep being cool, Logan.

"Gotta recharge my batteries"

*Before I start writing about more dubs, I wanted to say thanks to the people who read my Rambles entry and sent me MP3s ! ! ! Checking my inbox and seeing that I have something that I already know I love simply waiting for me to download it makes me super excited and incredibly happy.

I've already listened to HimeLand's Doki Doki song a ton and I downloaded it only 1-2 hours ago. Kirei no Bijoux's Furare Pattern and HanabiPro's Natsu DOKI Lipstick (Fuyumi solo) are also near the top of my playlist, plus the majority of the more recent releases I mentioned & already had the MP3s of.

*Also EGAH yesterday was such a long day. I worked like 14 hours. I ate dinner at 10-something. But I always try and stay positive, LOL, I worked with these two girls and all day I was staying optimistic and trying to get them to be too. And in the end it worked! Cause I ended up with today off!

Whenever I'm trying to stay positive, a certain dub comes to mind- Hinagiku's Be Happy! Koi no Yajirobee (Hana Project); "BE HAPPY soushisouai ga ii..." I'm listening to it right now actually, since talking about it made me want to listen. It's an awesome dub~

*And lastly my god-sister is over again today. I slept in some after yesterday, and when I came out and got online she came over and wanted to listen to more videos, lol. I've had Our Songs by Shiruku Project loaded on my computer for a few days and so we played that full screen. Then I showed her how you can chipmunk stuff in audacity, which she giggled about.

I talked her into singing something and letting me record her. It's short and she's kind of soft, cause she's shy about singing, but it's a song she learned at school. My favorite part is the "gotta recharge my batteries" part, it totally made me lol. Thought I'd share just for fun. (LOL wrong link. Box isn't being nice to me, so I'll put it in later)

& OMG Faefae mixed it to music for me ;w; (ILY FAE) It's a rock version of the instrumental too. I let her listen to it and was like, "That's you! My friend did it!" We're going to show her mom when she gets here.

BAKA NE

Cast (in order of solos):
Kusumi Koharu: Mitsuki [MitsukiUsagii]
Takahashi Ai: Lucy [CherryxJuice]
Mitsui Aika: Airu [airuchu]
Tanaka Reina: Aiko [ReinaLoverai]
Niigaki Risa: Michi [hitsugayahinamori]
Kamei Eri: Manami [0Lollipopz0]
Junjun: Belly [Rasubelly]
Linlin: Nana [aznfiregirl]
Michishige Sayumi: Fae [nytefaerie]

Onna ni Sachi Are by Shiruku Musume (ShirukuProject) / Oh I've never listened to this dub with a close-up PV. I'm not a big fan of them, but I will say it's different watching faces as opposed to dancing when listening, idk why. 0:26 is Mitsuki kejwfnejkw fjkenk she's awesome! Her "Yuuhi ni" blows my mind a little bit, so clear and cute. Yay Lucy! I like her whole solo - she's lovely- but I favor her "Mada mimi ni nokoru" ~ 0:38 is Airu, ohmy she sounds wonderful!! I don't know if the harmonies came with or if they're by someone in the cast?

Be/Na are great together at 0:51!! And the following "BAKA ne BAKA ne BAKA ne"s by Ma/Fa/Ai are kind of cute+fierce; I love'em!! I think the cuteness in the trio is from Fae, gosh I adore her. Mit/Air at 0:57, they make a fab duo, I dig the blending. 1:00 is Lu/Mic, geesh I love'em!! Their umph is fantastic! The first chorus starts in at 1:05 and it's by the same super sounding pair. 1:11ish is Aiko! Ohemgee, cutekawaii clear sound + adorablysmexy attitude + kickbutt energy!!

1:49ish is Michimiruuu! Omg Risa's flirty expression and Michi's lovely mature-sounding voice together is is like, kfnekfjn yes. I like her "nukumori" a lot & her "Anata no" is good too. And ya know, this one part of a song comes to mind, it goes; DON'T DENY IT UH OH~ So yeah Michibby, we love you even if you think you're fail (which you aren't). 1:56 is the amazing Aiko again, hubbahubba I never tire of her singing. She's mega fabulous!

The pre-chorus at 2:08 is exactly the same before, line division wise, and it sounds just as smashing the second time as it did the first. 2:22ish is the next chorus started off by Ma/Ai, uwah they're totally cute+sweet!! Especially in the second half of this song, Lucy has a lot of good solos. I love her at 2:29! Her "Fukouhei sugiru" is sensational! Following her is Ma/Fa, and they're another cute pair! Faefae is darling and Manami is kawaii. Their whole duet is awesome.

3:34ish is Manami, her ending "sai" is a tiny bit iffy, but I like her first line a lot ("Aa Doko ka de"). She's a cutie!! 3:31 is Belly, sounding splendid on "Onna ni Sachi are" & she's followed by Nana who's a little pitchy on her "nobare" but she's got good energy. Lol, I suppose one cool thing about watching close-up PVs is that you can see expressions better; I love some of the ones I've seen. The rest of the dub is more chorus by different duets (with the exception of Lucy's last solo).

This whole thing is spectacular!! I've been jamming along with it for a while now. I had to stop about halfway through this entry to help my family with putting up the wall-mural in my room (it's pretty *o*). So I've happily listened to this several times, and I suggest that y'all at least give it one listen. Though I warn ya that you might find yourself hooked on this deliciously brilliant dub.

--Shiruku has had two other releases recently, so I figured I'd share'em with y'all. But I won't be writing about them right now. My main point of this entry was Shiruku's Debut!! I shall listen for fun though. Don't hesitate to do so yourselves as well!!

BASU! [BBD Shoutbox Request / P2]

Sugaya Risako - Michi [hitsugayahinamori]
Tsugunaga Momoko - Daniel [loveneko10000]
Natsuyaki Miyabi - Lucy [CherryxJuice]
Togunaga Chinami - Fae [nytefaerie]
Kumai Yurina - Aiko [ReinaLoverai]
Shimizu Saki - Lizzie [Liz9419]
Sudou Maasa - Belly [Rasubelly]

Seishun Bus Guide by Shiruku Koubou (Shiruku Project) / I have mixed feelings about this song, for the most part it's not one of my faves from Berryz. But it's melody is easy to get stuck in your head cause it's kind of catchy. As for the dub; like a few people have mentioned in the comments, the volume levels aren't real even. But mixing is a learning process!

The beginning smaller group parts sound pretty swell, there is a little fuzziness, but the girls sound nice together. I have to admit that I really like how the second group sounds (Li/Lu/Ai), they have such a mature rich sound. I really like their "kurushii" ~ The first group is marvelous as well (Da/Fa/Be/Mi), they have a lighter...cuter (for lack of a better word) sound.

0:27 is Michi, who did a real nice job on Risako's part, though she sounds a little strained on some of the higher notes. However; she delivers very well, with confindence, which makes her singing coming from Risako's face believeable. Homigosh, I love Lucy's following solo! She sounds fantastic, and I adore her "ranai kankaku" especially her note on 'ra' ~ I knew 0:38 was Fae right away, without looking at the cast. I think her "daro" is adorable, just as she is.

Pre-chorus at 0:42, some more lines from the before-mentioned groups, the last being sung by the entire cast - meaning, because of the volumes there is static and loudness that makes you wince a little on the "da yo" ~ 0:56 is Michi, she's often one of the quieter volumes in the dub, making her more difficult to hear at times. Next is Daniel, who sounds super cute! The cutest I remember hearing her; she suits this song's melodies.

AikoAikoAiko. Her voice alone is epic, plus she's got singing skillz, and then she has to go and hit lovely notes while I'm staring at Yurina's face. Nah, I'd love her even if I was looking at, er, Tsunku's face (LOL). Her 1:03 solo is great, especially when she goes up on "au" ~ she's also got wonderful energy! The first chorus' ending "hitorijime shitainda" is terrific! Fuzziness aside, the girls sound great!

1:11 is the same as the beginning, lines from the two groups on the same melody and also similar lyrics. I just talked about Aiko, so I'll just briefly mention that I love her 1:22 solo as well. Moving on to the second verse, 1:33 is Daniel; I think I like her more on the chorus, but she sounds darling. Following her is Lizzie, who suits Saki with her mature voice, and sings with good emotion. Then it's Belly as Maasa; I like her "jerashii"

The smaller group parts at 1:47 are fabulous! I really like how both groups sound together! Once again, the last line in the pre-chorus is by everyone and towards the end of it is fuzzy, mostly the "ne" ~ in the chorus we hear more splendid solos from Michi (2:01), Lizzie (2:05), and Belly (2:09). Ending with the 2:12 great group "Jikan yo modotte kure" ~

After the instrumental break the rest of the dub is pretty much the same parts that you've already heard. It's all swell, but I'm not going to blather on about it, lol. I think besides the iffy volumes, this turned out real nice. The fuzziness I mention could also be due to mic quality, but I'm not sure. Overall, a terrific debut!

Requests / Shared Vids [P3]

Suzuki Airi - Lucy / CherryxJuice
Natsuyaki Miyabi - Ayu / ChiiAyu
Tsugunaga Momoko - Daniel / loveneko10000

Bravo☆Bravo by Shiruku! (ShirukuProject) / "I'm proud to present you Shiruku!'s first single" ~ Yay debut! As I've mentioned before, this song doesn't give me a ton to comment on, because there are only three solos and oodles of group parts.

The opening "P-A-T-I"s are real cute, though I think I am hearing one girl over the rest. idk for sure, it's hard to tell. WOW I really like these three sing together on the first verse at 0:39. Lucy's borderline high/middle pretty voice together with Ayu's lovely mature voice and Daniel's higher/cute voice ~ it's a nice group balance. It's not always consistent, sometimes I hear one girl more or less in different spots, but I hear a nice balance many times.

1:01 is Lucy's solo, she's close to pitchy once or twice in the first part - on the "kiita" and "yume" - but it's minor and I think she sounds fabulous overall. She delivers well and with good energy. She leads into the chorus, which is terrific! I'll admit that I like the verses a bit more, but it's cause I like the melody of them more. The girls did a really great job on the chorus, especially the higher notes; they turned out well.

More wonderful vereses at 1:41, Ayu stands out a little more in this one to me. I don't know if the volumes could have been played with to make the three parts more balanced. It's not bad sounding though, just a difference in the loudness of their voices. 2:01 is Ayu's solo, I can easily ramble on about how much I adore her singing, but I'll just be short this time; spot on and fantastic! Raburabu.

Hmm, I don't know about what I said before - it's awful close between the verses and chorus for me. I really like both of them. Regardless of which I like more, they're both super splendid including the chorus following Ayu's solo (2:13). And at 3:01 is Daniel, and she's really cute+pretty. She suits Momo well, all of the girls suit their parts well.

I have to be cutting this short sadly, cause I have to go for a few hours, which I'm not too happy about. But I'll come home and blog more then~ Thanks for sharing, Shiruku. The group parts are what dominate this song, and the girls did a magnificent job on them.

KISU

Shiruku Project was the first project to contact me (via PM) on my Blabodu YT requesting that I check out their project. I am more than happy to write about them, and to share their first release with y'all ~ though I wish I knew more about the project. Sure, I can just ask, but it's more than that.

Like when I'm reviewing a dub but has no CClyrics; I could PM the project / group for them, but who knows when I'll get a reply? I want to blog right then, not possibly wait a day or so for lyrics. That's why it often frustrates me so ~ it's nice to have such info provided so there is no need to ask. I was just thinking; ohsnap, I should have PMed Shiruku some questions and done an interview. But I want to blog about them now, not later.

So, I have basically no information about this group to share with y'all. Though, in their case it's a bit understandable, since the project is still quite new. Their YT channel has been around since late May and their first dub was only released this past week. There are currently three eggs and eight (listed) members, the latter making up the cast of their two groups; Shiruku! and Shiruku Koubou.

Cast (in order of solos):
Suzuki Airi - Lucy [CherryxJuice]
Tanaka Reina - Aiko [ReinaLoverai]
Natsuyaki Miyabi - Mitsuki [MitsukiUsagii]

FIRST KISS
by Shiruku Shuffles / (embedding disabled?) Wow, it's actually been a little bit since I've heard this song, lol. The lovely Lucy starts the dub off, her opening "doushite" is spot on. I'm going to skip around lot ~ The Ai/Mi duet at 0:59 is fabulous! Lucy's following "DORAIBU shitari" is pretty snazzy, though her 'rai' was a little iffy.

I really like Aiko's 1:06 solo, especially how cuteish her "katta" sounds. She sounds great on her "kawatta" before the chorus too. This song needs more Miyabi!! Mitsuki has her part in this and from what little I've heard in the beginning she did a swell job. Lucy starts the chorus off wonderfully at 1:17! I adore Aiko's following solo oodles, her "banashi mo waraenai" ~ 1:28 is Mi/Lu, who make an splendid duo! Lucy has a bit better energy, but I like how they sound together.

Gah, the first two solos in the next verse (1:57) - Aiko then Lucy - are awesome! I adore Aiko's "aenai no?" as well as her "koto de" around 2:13. And then we get a small but marvelous "minna" from Mitsuki; I'm awaiting the second half of the song where she has longer lines! More Lu/Mi on the pre-chorus (2:20) ~ I like them on the "nakama ga dekite" even though the ending 'te' is a bit iffy.

Aiko's following solo sounds like the timings semi funky? but this could be just me, idk. (lol, Aya is tired again). Lucy at 2:27, oh I actually like her whole solo here, she sings with good emotion! At first I was going to say 'all the' but really there are only two "ano KISU de"s in this song; both of which are sung by the whole trio, and turned out nicely.

YAY, Mitsuki at 2:37! Still not much to go by; she sings with good emotion and delivered her solo pretty well. 2:49 is the only time Ai/Lu duet, and though it's not very long, the girls sound fabulous. Wow, the snapping is so sharp and clear, I know it's part of the instrumental, but their volume took me by surprise. Anyways! Props to Lucy for all her high notes in this song!! Especially her 3:10 solo; I think it sounds fantastic ~ she did a good job!

I think (of the few lines that she has) 2:28 is Mitsuki's best solo! Aiko has the last line - "ano yoru mitai ni KISU shite" - and she's wonderful on it! I really like her vocalizing off the end of the 'shite' ~ Overall this is a terrific dub! Thanks for sharing, Shiruku!
